Thank you for this excellent and informative content. I eagerly follow what you present on your channel. I am interested in changing the type of digital rear-view mirror. My question is, can I do that? If yes, could you please inform me about the type of camera used in the Lexus LX600 so I can get another one with better image quality? Also, will changing it affect the settings of this system?
Thank you so much! I don't have any information or training on changing out the OEM digital rearview mirror for an after market version. I would definitely speak with a Lexus Technician to see if they can better answer this for you. Sorry I'm not able to help with this one. Thanks for being here.
One major thing you did not touch on, was the LED light on the underside of the rear view mirror that lights up the shift lever/console area (2024 RX 350 Premium Plus). I could see an LED on the underside of my rear view mirror, but it was not lit. I noticed it was lit in a RX review on another YT channel. There was no mention of it in your tutorial OR in my RX Owner's manual. I had to play with it myself to discover how to turn it on. Your tutorial on the 2023/2024 RX stated to look for the Tech Tip Tuesday regarding the settings of the digital camera.
Make sure your “door light” button is on dude. It’s above you next to your moonroof buttons. Lit green means on. Pshhhhhh…. Give us a break. Major is your vehicle blown up.
Wonderful helpful videos from you guys - thanks so much. Can I ask a quick question - the little cluster of buttons by my left hand side next to the wheel (includes HUD button etc) has snapped out of place. How can I get it back? Do I need to remove the small push button compartment? THANK YOU again for your brilliant vids - so comprehensive and SOOOO much better than trying to understand the manual!!!
Oh goodness. I haven't seen that panel removed before, but most of the pieces have small clips that you should be able to pop back into place as long as they are intact Look for any tabs or clips and see if it will snap back in for you. Best of luck. Thanks very much for tuning in with me!
I wish the digital rear view mirror has sd slot for recording otherwise it’s perfect. The homelink setup is much more intuitive than the old system. Just follow the on screen instruction. The video quality is also top notch.
Hello Melissa! Thank you so much for your thorough reviews! There is no other channel on UA-cam, that does since a great job explaining the Lexus Lineup! I was wondering if you do sales for Northside Lexus or just a technologist specialist for Northside Lexus?

Hi Krishna, I only have access to the packaging available in my area. I'm sorry I don't have the information for features available in other countries. I would recommend reaching out to your local Lexus dealership to make sure they have what you're looking for. Thanks for tuning in.
You are a lucky man, it's a beautiful car, but exorbitantly costly in India. Krishna there is an additional camera for the digital mirror, Indian spec Ls500 only have 360° camera system. Along with the reverse camera there is one more camera besides it, you can check the video, Melissa has correctly shown that camera.
Hi! The optional Digital Rearview Mirror is something that is added at the factory on some Lexus models. I'm not aware that it can be retrofit to the vehicles. Thanks so much for checking in though. Glad you're here!
Hi! This seems to be a feature that needs to be installed at the factory. It's possible that there is an aftermarket digital mirror, but make sure you work with a reputable installer and that you don't risk your warranty for your RX. Thanks so much for checking in with me!
Hi! Based on the information on the Lexus website, the Digital Rearview Mirror is a stand alone option or in a bundle of other options and not part of the Luxury Package. Hope this helps.
Hi. There are a couple of ways to use the Google Maps app on the ES. If you have Apple CarPlay or Android Auto that will be your first choice so that the map can be shared to the screen. Here's a video about using Apple CarPlay: ua-cam.com/video/Yatf9H11jQM/v-deo.html. If your vehicle does not have those features, then you will want to use your Bluetooth connection. It will play the sound through your car speakers if you select Bluetooth Audio as your source or customize the setting in the app on your phone to allow the sound to Play As A Bluetooth Phone Call. Here's another tutorial that might help: ua-cam.com/video/rsnYZl-_xVM/v-deo.html. Thanks for tuning in.
Hi I just order the LS F SPORT 2023 i won't be here until the Jan 15th but i really like that Digital Rearview Mirror. Can order this separate from Lexus and have them install this? i ask my sales rep but he doesn't know anything about it.
Hi Angel, Thanks so much for checking in! Congratulations on your soon to arrive LS FSport! I am not aware that the optional digital rearview mirror can be added retroactively. It requires a separate camera system that does not come on the vehicles with the traditional rearview mirror. I'm sorry I don't have a better answer for you. Thanks again for tuning in with me.
Hi Otar, When you make the change in settings from Fahrenheit to Celsius it only changes the read out in the Weather forecast feature in the Info app from the main menu. It will not impact the readout on the MID or any other temperature gauge. Those are set from the factory and can't be changed through regular settings in the vehicle. I've checked with my Techs in the shop and they said they do not see a setting to change that through the computer either. I have given this feed back to Lexus before. Why offer to change the setting in one place if it won't be across the board. I'm sorry I don't have a better answer for you. Thanks so much for tuning in!
@@NorthsideLexus Thanks you for your answer. It's shame because most of the world are measuring in celsius, just 5 countries in the world are measuring in faringate and why lexus don't have this option, very strange.
Hi! Check on page 444 in the main Owner's Manual for pictures and a step by step guide. You will do the pairing step to train the code from the remote to the mirror button, then program the learn button on the garage door motor if required by your type of garage door system. assets.sia.toyota.com/publications/en/om-s/OM0E218U/pdf/OM0E218U.pdf Another great resource is the HomeLink website. They have great video tutorials: www.homelink.com/program Make sure the car is on, you are parked in front of the second garage, and you have room for the garage door to pen and close. (I also like to unplug the first garage door motor, just incase. It helps to prevent it form being reset, but isn't always necessary.) Programming HomeLink® Steps 1 through 3 must be performed within 60 seconds, otherwise the HomeLink® indicator light will stop flashing and programming will not be successfully completed. 1. Press and release the HomeLink® button you want to program and check that the HomeLink® indicator light flashes (orange). 2. Point the remote control transmitter for the device at the rear view mirror, 1 to 3 in. (25 to 75 mm) from the HomeLink® buttons. Keep the HomeLink® indicator light in view while programming. 3. Press and hold the remote control transmitter button until the HomeLink® indicator light changes from slowly flashing orange to rapidly flashing green (rolling code) or continuously lit green (fixed code), then release the button. I hope this helps :)

@@NorthsideLexus I’ve got to say that Lexus dropped the ball on that. The gx460 is a great vehicle. However, I do miss some amenities I would have gladly paid for, that being one of them.
