CRM does it again. Thanks guys for being who you are. A family business for the people. For the well-being of the community (your responses and encouragement to some of the comments prove it). Thank you for the inspiration, dedication, passion and artistry behind these celestial objects that we love so much: watches. CRM forever.
This is exactly the type of video that the watch hobby is missing. There are so many high end watches that you can't really find videos of them being taken apart. Also tastefully done with the music. Keep it going!
Absolutely love these watchmaking videos! Some other channels do some vintage watches but you guys are the only ones to showcase watches of this caliber being serviced(as far as I'm aware). Keep em coming!
Those other channels would probably love to do a Patek video but are mostly hobbyists, or don't have the prestige to get them for servicing.. meanwhile those who do work on them are probably too busy trying to get through as much work as possible, or may be large businesses which don't tend to be into making UA-cam videos.
More of this please, from a budding watch maker... getting a chance to look in side these beautiful works of art is a privilege to witness. I wish every luck in the future. God bless you and your family.
Well done CRM team! Stunning work of art! And just so everyone else knows.....Carlos. You are THEE MAN! Keep up the dream so we can continue to follow alongside the journey of a true OG
I love how all steel surfaces are jeweled and the different sized bits they used to do the different sized holes is amazing. A lot of work went into making this watch.
Wow wow wow! These videos are so amazing. These guys really are blessed to have such a steady hand and so precise. Please keep these videos coming! 👏👏🔥🔥
You rarely find videos of new-age Pateks being serviced on the internet which makes this a unique presentation. I would love an A. Lange & Sohne Datograph service video.
Love the channel! Im taking a watchmaking course with the British Horological Institute currently! Im from london would love to work for you guys one day maybe haha best wishes! Oliver
@@Crmjewelers I’m still learning loads, I’m thinking about documenting my progress and posting it for others so they can see the process it takes to become an accredited watchmaker! Maybe they will consider to take the path I’ve chosen as I’m doing a course that people can do from their homes, you should have a look! It’s called the DLC (Distance Learning Course) by the British Horological Institute.
Really nice video, could you told me how to lubrificate the vertical clutch chronograoh wheel please ? My 5990 with same base movement doesn’t work anymore when the chrono is off. Best regards.
I am not sure why this Patek Philippe Nautilus needed to be taken apart, but after seeing it in the buff, it is a stunning piece of beauty! I also had no idea that Carlos has such wonderfully skilled hands!
What a massive contrast to see this high end attention to horological detail vs the other end of this strange business. I went to a jewellers shop in Brighton run by a Middle East guy to have a new battery fitted to a rare Seiko Quartz. He was chatting away on the phone and asked me to give him the watch. The fool scratched away at the back of the watch with the callipers whilst trying to open the case, and still chatting away on the phone. I immediately asked for my watch back, he got all upset and angry like nothing happened. Lesson learned, if a business owner can’t be bothered to give you the most basic of customer attention, just walk away, period.
Todo los una obra de Arte trabaja muy bonito la relojería no toca para nada con sus dedos la maquinaria muy profesionales si hubiera explicado el proceso sería más interesante los aceites para cada mecanismo pero de verdad.muy práctico
It doesn't. The watch is oiled when is reassembled. That's what a year later becomes the grime you see. Nothing enters the watch....its pressure tested to assure waterproofness.
I give the watchmaker a ton of credit............................................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! nice AP #CRM #IWJG #PATEK_5980 #5980_two_tone WOW OMG once again
I'm retired now, but if I were in my twenties, I would totally want to intern with someone to learn how to do this. I'm guessing this is the five to ten year recommended cleaning and oiling. I bet the customer pays a good $500 for that.
0:54 .. How come no one saw that ?? they bend the chronograph hand... and how come they use metal tweezers? .. painful to watch, push you to the edge..!
About had a heart attack when the subdial hand jumped out over the protective film. Just goes to show that sh*t can happen no matter how careful you are.
Still can't see where all that absurd money goes, including the rising prices that people are willing to pay for a patek watch. Is it even worth it for exclusivity and the patek brand name, despite whats in this patek, including the machined hand finishing aspects of this watch. Pateks in the 70's, 80's, were nothing to write home about, as regards movement finishing compared to the finishing on today's patek's, and compared to other very high quality brands back then and today.

Most patek owners get their watches serviced by patek so that is why it is so hard to see this

Thank you my friend. It's great being able to do this. It definitely spices up the channel and allows us to show the true beauty of watchmaking.

Awesome only watchmaker can see all the perlage that been done on those plates and bridges just wow!
So satisfying when everything is clean again and back in place 🤓😅
Ha Ha, so true. It keeps you on your toes...and emotional ride of satisfaction!
WOW 👏 and that ladies and gents is why they cost what they do...
What a piece of art they are 🤩🤩🤩
And that guy has some serious skills 👏 👌
He definitely does. Thanks for watching my friend. 🙏
Spoilt this week with a extra video 😁🙏❤
Came for the Patek, had to rewind it for that Sweet AP

Why at 5:44 would you show a defferent watch from de one you are working on ? I noticed because that is an Audemars Piguet and I used to own two !!

Thank you Oliver. If you ever want us to feature one of your watchmaker videos on our channel, let me know. It'll be cool! 😉

The quality of the parts looks insane. Tank build quality and still the most refined looks.
This watch maker has blessed hands indeed!
Indeed 👍👍
At 0:56, was small hand at sub-dial (6 o’clock position) damaged? Sorry if I am wrong
True watchmaking involves amazing skills, like the ones this watchmaker obviously has!

I love this type of video.
I'd love to see more of these.

crazy craftsmanship

Anyone, what is the name of song that plays in the background?
Good video
Thank you!
You can tell this guy is a pro because he doesn't say a bad word at 0:52 like the people who think the #215 movement is enough of a challenge!
Really nice video,
could you told me how to lubrificate the vertical clutch chronograoh wheel please ?

Indeed it is 😉
Well... not sure if PP loves him, after all, he's taking business away from them. Nice video. Truly beautiful movement.
Thank you Michael 👍
Great video!!
It’s a shame that the front bezel is all scratched up. Amazing video of the process of taking apart and putting back together. Great job!
Do patek make their all their own in house parts ?
Pure Craftsmanship. Amazing.
🙏
Good luck putting that back together
what’s the song called

Beautiful in every way!
My favorite watch ever made
Where do you learn such a trade ?. Amazing
Прекрасно🙏 Недосягаемая мечта..
good video but how come the movement is all scratched everyware ?????
Beautiful watch.
If only I could work for a watch company. I bet it Would be so mesmerizing.
What's the title of background music?

Very nice
I hope the white second hand is ok lol but great video I would never ever be able to put that back
Makes it look simple I wonder how many hours of work
Probably like 6-8 hours of work.
Gold and titanium or platinum?
Gold and steel!
Amazing!!
Thanks. You are champion
Patek Philippe cut above the rest! CRM cut above the rest! Good Job CRM!
Thank you Chuck!
Beautiful.
I see the dirt in some of the parts as he removes them, my question is how dirt reaches deep into those nukes and crannies?
It doesn't. The watch is oiled when is reassembled. That's what a year later becomes the grime you see. Nothing enters the watch....its pressure tested to assure waterproofness.
Exactly, and this watch hadn't been serviced for quite a few years.
Do you sell these watches?

Couldn’t have polished the bezel? It made that beautiful watch not pop like it could have
Anthony Farrer is setting a shop in Miami ?
No idea.
How much is it?
Yes CRM fam let’s gooooo!
Let's do it my friend! 🙌
Merci pour cette vidéo, un nom prestigieux mais une mécanique industrielle et vu les prix, les marges doivent être indécentes !
I am 100% the guy that gets to the end of putting all this back together and would have about 9 pieces still sitting there 😟
Whoooops 😝
0:54 .. How come no one saw that ?? they bend the chronograph hand... and how come they use metal tweezers? .. painful to watch, push you to the edge..!
You should put the camera on a tripod and just let it record. We would love to see the raw video in addition to the edited version. Thanks!
Jaw dropped after removing the hands then the small hand at 6 o'clock popped off from the protective paper! Lots of critical areas there specially PP.
About had a heart attack when the subdial hand jumped out over the protective film. Just goes to show that sh*t can happen no matter how careful you are.
Awesome and he needs gold tweezers!!!
W a o w Hay Que Tener Muchas Paciencia 😅
100%
This is great to see, but imagine the man who actually made this watch?
Lots of people were involved, not just one man.
Why use metal tweezers? You leave marks on brushed surfaces.
Is this Adrian's father Patek ??
What Adrian?

One mistake all all the screws, he did not torque them down to 880 inch pounds of torque. Other than that fantastic skills.
