When idling your air temps will rise. That's normal. Once you start moving the temps will drop :)
Yes, and be careful idling on a hot day. I've seen 160 degrees+ on mine. Also it looks like the stock inter-cooler is doing well only about a 20 degree difference, although I think the larger one will really shine during aggressive driving.
@@nighthawk0077 I don’t think it’s much of a concern if idling. Even if the temps are really high the ECU will pull timing to protect the engine and it will go back to normal once he gets moving.
@@SirAbuser Probably fine, just providing a data point for what can happen on a hot day after a 20 mins idle. Likely it's worse for your battery, wiring and electrical connections getting that hot more than anything.

By the way IAT drops initially upon applying throttle, it would definitely seem like IAT is his post intercooler temp though. Am I right or wrong?

do you need carb legal hondata in ca or can you get the race version?
@@RelaxAndSmokeMeth if any authority is asking, yes-you’ll need the carb legal version to legally drive on public streets. You can still purchase the race version, but use at your own risk if you catch my drift. Long story short: don’t even bother buying the carb legal version.

How did you disconnect the collis sensor and traction so easily? The blue and white connectors in that panel....Im pulling HARD and they will not budge.
I just completed the Jailbreak and drove my car for almost 50 miles and still have a CEL. No base maps flashed yet because I wanted to clear this up. Any ideas?

A jailbreaker is needed to hack the ECU because the 2020/2021s have this thing called a CAN gateway. Thats as much as I know

Correct me from wrong but I think VTec kicks in above 5,000 RPM and you can't just be going half throttle I have a 2009 Honda Civic and if you have an automatic transmission and it's in park when you rev the engine it won't let you go past 5000 RPM because the ECU turns off VTec but when you're driving the car and you go full throttle it will let you go all the way to Red line

I swear I have never heard so much confusion over IAT and IAT2....I still to this day do not know which one is which.....people on the forums say one thing and on the facebook group say another....I have always thought that the intercooler is IAT 2 and intake is IAT.....my IAT 2 is always 10 degrees colder than the IAT's......but you are right about Ktuner and Hondata being backwords so that actually makes sense
Hondata and Ktuner both specify which is which on their websites

I once saw a video where a guy went into details on how rev match downshift only works If you are above 2k rpm. I test drove a CTR once and that’s what I noticed as well.

Get a radar you will thank later lol...
the stock intercooler is trash wait until your ambient temperatures are above 80s you only see the intercooler difference while on boost if you are cruising is not noticeable.
