Made the mistake of giving my piggies spinach every few days, 3-4 pieces to each. The pet store told me it was a great daily snack. I should have known to take pet store employee's advice with a grain of salt. Thanks for all the great tips!

@@piggie1018 is it ok to only feed romain lettuce and cucumbers and carrots and cilantro and tamatos and bell peppers and apples but the apples only 1 a week per gyinea pig

They need varied diet, so u really need to start increasing the variety of veggies in your piggies diet, so starta introduce other vegetables in your pigs diet, like endive, escarole, chicory, radiccio, swiss chard, collard greens, kale (dinossaur or common) dandelion greens, parsley, celery, green leaf, red leaf, butterhead, oak leaf lettuce, etc.

I think the Cabbage debate also comes from the fact that cabbages are gassy and can cause bloat in guinea pigs.
I also noticed they enjoy eating corn husk during the summer which is a good snack that's high in fiber and low in sugar

RED pepper has the highest amount of vitamin C! Not yellow! Also pepper seeds are perfectly fine to feed! Some seeds are poisonous in some things but pepper seeds are fine.

You do not have to remove the seeds from tomatos, they have no harm as they are soft and not a choking hazard
I've heard this myth many times.. It's same with bell pepper seeds. They are not a chocking hazard eighter. This myth seems to just circulate around the guinea pig community.. My guess is that older guinea pigs might have a harder time dealing with them..

Bell peppers any color.
Green Power Mix: This one is great for healthy guinea pigs and is geared more towards younger guinea pigs.
1 outer leaf of green leaf lettuce
3 to 4 strands of parsley
¼ slice of green pepper
.
Rainbow Mix: This is great all-rounder with colorful veggies! If you have a guinea pig with a bit of sweet tooth, they will love this!
½ of baby carrot
1 stick of chopped celery
¼ slice of yellow bell pepper
Urinary Health Mix: This one is great for adult guinea pigs. Especially great for guinea pigs with previous history of UTI or stone.
1 quarter of cucumber
1 outer leaf red lettuce (or more than 1 inner leaf to match the size)
¼ slice of red bell pepper

Please I should take up to 85 to 90% of a ginny pigs diet can be feed once a day, feed them a few leafy greens per Ginny
#2 Cucumber can be a staple and can be added with most meals high in watter low in Other nutrients good for hot days!
#3 bell peppers great source for vitamin C, green and yellow bell papper can be feed day , because they are low in sugar content
Red and orange are higher in sugar so be aware.
1/6 to 1/8 of a bell pepper and
day
#4 Zucchini is a great source for vitamin C and can be alsmot feed daily and a good amount of Calcium for healthy bones a bit of less then half a cup sould do it per day
#5 calary can be feed 1 to 2 times a week not to much it can lead to track stones in bladder and pee. Make sure to cut it up into small half inch so they dont choke, one stock is enough for one ginny
#6 Carrots should only be said in moderation though Guinea pigs love them they are high in vitamin sand sugar can be feed a few times a week one or 2 baby carrots per Ginny

Seeds in bell peppers are not a choking hazard to Guinea pigs. They can have the seeds and the vein of the peppers as well. :)

I need help I just got my piggies and they are pulling back there fleece and tunneling around under it I have no idea why they have plenty of hides
They do that at the start. I recommend putting the houses in each corner tightly. Or even putting Velcro on your fleece and Velcro is to the ground of the cage. Idk if that'll help but that the best advice I can give.
They are skittish is the bigging, its normal:)
They like it, it’s cozy. mine did this until I made some cuddle tunnels. Now they haven’t done that since

Hi! I really enjoy your videos. I am new to guinea pigs for the most part, so have been doing research on caring for them, as I intend to purchase two girl piggies this autumn. Loved the way you put this video on vegetables together. I have a question for you. The only space I have free to house the guinea girls, is in my bedroom. Do you see any huge issue with this? I look forward to your answer, and opinion on this. Thanks, and take care.
Would not recommend having Guinea pigs in your bedroom as they are messy and loud. They could wake you up during the night as they only sleep in small intervals. Other than that though, its generally fine; and best if having them in your bedroom will provide them with the most space:)

Hello I had a question about your fleece li ners. I know that fleece liners should have an absorbent layer but how did you get the raised edges around the cage. I’m considering fleece liners and I know my pigs would make a mess without raised edges

Yes, they can be given, but only 2-4 times a week. The portion p/guinea pig of dill is the same as fennel, and the portion p/guinea pig of basil is 3-5 medium leaves.
My Guinea pigs are very picky they won’t eat peppers or broccoli. I was running out of things I could feed every day
