@LaughingStock00 The British dip them in hot tea and some parts of Italy use coffee with biscotti or pitzelle, both of which tastes way better than it sounds. I'm an even split amongst the three depending on cookie type but milk is still King for chocolate chips.

My favorite was when my parents would look for a vegetable to go with dinner and they would pull out corn. Not only can I now say it’s a grain, I can now say it’s a fruit!
Funny thing is, I am pretty sure I did hear these classifications while growing up but it was always in passing. Leafy Greens and Starched Vegetables were the words used to separate the vegetable food by many adults throughout these recent years, this video just helped solidify that "Vegetable" was too wide a food group, like saying "Eat Meat" when there are many different variations all with their own boons and cons (that vary further depending on how you cook it)
Still fungi (or just mushrooms to be more specific but still talking about a category). Not all leaves are edible but we still call the edible ones leaves. It's no different.
Counterpoint: every edible part of a plant is a vegetable, and food items can be in multiple categories. So yes, fruits are vegetables. Grains are vegetables. Leafy greens are vegetables. Fries contain vegetables, and so do breads, salads, and breakfast cereals. Things can be multiple things!

it's not a fruit though, fruit is the edible area around a seed and corn IS the seed.

From what I have heard and researched a definition for Vegetables is edible plants that are not, flowers, fruits, nuts, herbs, spices, corn, or grains

For as much as I love Santi's rant, for my own mental health, anything that isn't a grain or fruit that comes from a plant is officially a vegetable to me. (Grains are seeds aboveground from a plant and fruits are the "seed-holders", which means broccoli id both a fruit and a vegetable to me)
