    I am an 82 y old pharmacist n I had a stroke 10 y ago n I was put on statin. A year later, I started getting severe body aches n an uncontrollable urgency to pee. I wet my pants a couple of times. It was then that I read the side effects of statins. I took a bold decision n stopped taking statin.
    That is four years ago. Now I am fit as a fiddle n very happy, no body pains n no peeing urgency. Please take note guys.

      I have just gone off of Atorvastatin. My blood pressure is normal normal, 118/78. It was 128/188, etc. I never expected this. Went off of Amlodipine 10 mg in AM along with Atorvastatin. Sum up, went off Amlodipine and Atorvastatin at the same time, and after two weeks my blood pressure is normal now. I don't feel any different being off of Atorvastatin, but my blood pressure is normal now. Am Staying off both meds for now. Good luck to all of you.

    It’s a bad interview but it’s not the fault of the pharmacist that is being interviewed. It’s the person who is interviewing him that is rude, constantly interrupting and distracting the pharmacist. The man cannot even finish a sentence before the interviewer puts words in his mouth. And you can tell by the pharmacist’s expression that it was not what he had planned to say. I would like to hear what the pharmacist had to say, somewhere the man will be allowed to complete a sentence! For pity sake, just Rules of Order should apply here. I personally am looking for answers to damage caused by “Statin drugs for preventative medicine.” I can’t even walk straight. I am going to his webpage where I bet he can at least speak without being interrupted.

When you have to talk to a answering machine that does not call you back. There was a time when Doctors remembered you and your health. They came to your house to take care of you. When you were sick and feeling bad, the Doctor wouldn't make you come to him. Going out would be the Death of some people. Going out would also spread the Virus if one had a Virus. Taking Atorvastatin 40 mg/day for about 6 months brought my kidney function from normal to stage 2 renal failure, with cloudy, frequent and odiferous urination. Severe lower leg cramps, tingling toes at night and severe skin itching on my upper back and upper arms also occurred. After discontinuing the drug and modifying my diet(bland with no salt and low-protein), I started feeling better. I cannot go back to my VA Healthcare physician because I disobeyed the clinic's instruction on continuing to take the drug.

I switched to a healthier diet, more greens and fruits, hardly eat out or eat bread, pasta or anything processed, limited sugar as in from 1 soda/day to just 1-2/month. That is your personal experience.
      We are all different.
      Cholesterol is mainly genetic.
      It requires a wholistic plan, that may or may not need drugs.
      However, statins do lower cholesterol made by your liver, and for some it is life saving.

      @@deantsar6246 What kind ox cholestérol does it lower? Is it selective? How do you get the good ratio with statins without loosing your health?
      How much people are concerned with genetic cholestérol ? Why? Did someone confuse "genetic cholestérol " with "chronic stress due cholestérol ?.
      The only question left for me is: are statins worthy for something else not forseen during the research which would be to help the calcium plaque in arteries harder so that it doesn't collap in the bloodstream??
      These aren't even questions as we now know that cholestérol isn't the main problem now but rather the inflammation it can cause randomly in the arteries

      Have her drop the statins. I’ve dropped Rosuvastatin (Crestor?) June 30, ‘22. I’ve complained of bad leg cramps and spasms, joint pains all over, since being put on Losartan/Amlodipine-Besylate/Atorvastatin in 2016. Wound up Feb ‘20 having popliteal aneurysm bypass surgery. Then having a 6-day stay in hospital for a duodenal bleed March ‘20. Followed by a DVT in May ‘20. I’ve not had a regularly seen PCP Dr since 2015,. Since 2016 I’ve had a parade of doctors for PCP (as well as raising the issue while in hospital) who’ve completely ignored my complaints (including in my medical records, e.g; notes, summaries). October’20, Drs put me on Rosuvastatin. I never understood their reasoning for the statin. How does a drug that destroys cholesterol, build cholesterol? My numbers have been fairly consistent thru the years. HDL in those years range 27-35, LDL 58-78, triglycerides around 150. Also in that time, my A1c went from 6.0 to 6.5 Oct ‘20. So now I’m diabetic, they say. Last test 6.8. I take 7 meds including a vitamin, an aspirin, and the statin. After seeing so much online and in magazines, in my 6 yrs with statins, I lost faith in the Medical system of my local area. Remembering how quick these symptoms appeared, it’s been amazing how quickly I’ve been feeling better. I presently am in the hunt for a new PCP. I know my lab #’s will be a lot better because I am slowly regaining my mobility from the surgery, which was a very dangerous, extensive cutting. Surgeon said I would not fully regain use of leg and would probably be painful for life. But I already feel better from the other pains. STATINS BAD!!

I’m very interested in the natural medicine side of health care now that I’ve been practicing in a hospital for over 20 years. Are you self taught or did you go through any training? I also need to look up the studies do I can refute the standard way that doctors and pharmacists are trained. If you could provide any that you have studied, that would be greatly appreciated!!

The conflict of interest with the pharmaceutical industry, studies( funded by said companies) and the FDA that receives kickbacks is a massive conflict of interest . Ween yourself off them slowly! Get Vitamin D3 to boost your immune system. Vitamin K2 is ok for those who are healthy, NOT, for you or me who had had an event! K2 strips away calcium buildup which may be protecting you from hot liquid plaque, which I’d it breaks through the lining of the artery (Intima), the plaque will quickly clot and you will have a heart attack or stroke! That’s what happened to me. Statins shut down critical process by the liver and you will develop other illness 20-40 years from now! Statins are dangerous and do nothing except remove harmless fluffy LDLs only, and cannot see the very small dangerous very low density LDLS. Lot of data out there on this! Best of good health to you!

    Getting off statins isn’t a problem: I stopped taking them in 2011 having been prescribed in 1997 after open heart surgery. My then GP went ballistic, wanted to throw me out of the practice, and even as recently as last year they were trying to convince me that this other one wouldn’t cause the agonising pain I had been getting.

    • @richardayala4356
      @richardayala4356 2 роки тому +1

      LDL(bad, but not really), HDL, good, should have a count of 60. HDL basically take out of your arteries the LDL to return to the liver for breaking down and repackaging to go out again. Two parts to the LDLs; large fluffy ones (harmless), and very small density deformed and damaged (bad). They have more fluffy ones than the deformed ones. Statins only remove the fluffy LDLs, not the very small bad ones because the liver can no longer see the very small bad ones! A good reason not to take Statins. You can increase you good HDLs through a high fat, moderate protein and low carbohydrates (vegetables only!). Eliminate all sugars, grain foods from you diet. Grains increase your triglycerides (which should’ve less than a count of 100 mg/no. Divide your triglycerides number by the HDLS and that ratio should be less than 2. Intermittent fasting will also help, no smoking or drinking. Statins drugs are deadly and will shut off many other necessary functions of the liver. You will get sick from other organ failures if on statins! Best of success and good health to you!! Keep these numbers in mind and you will be in good health! Medical profession is criminal in league with the pharmaceutical industry.

    Yes, the fact that cholesterol has nothing to do with heart disease, nor any other disease for that matter is now coming out. Dave, I question why you say to eat lean meats and fruit and veggies? It is a fact that fruits have very low nutritional value next to veggies. Fruits are designed to fatten us up for the winter as the high sugar content keeps us hungry so we gorge on them and fatten up for the winter. A low carb high fat diet is the answer. Heart disease is related only to inflammation, which is caused by carbohydrates and sugars, and how it causes insulin resistance and therefore high insulin levels in the blood. This is all clear known information. Throw the statins away and enjoy your healthy high cholesterol. Do not have unhealthy fats like Canola oil, vegetable oil, sunflower oil etc (These are chemically manufactured and contain trans-fats that your body can't cope with. Eat only healthy high fat salted butter, lard (Pork Fat), and all saturated animal fats. If it's poly-unsaturated steer clear!!!. Yes, it is the big pharm companies that are killling people for profit through misinformation and very clever fear mongering. Turn the food pyramid upside down and now you will ne following a heathy diet - but, this diet will deplete the profits of big Pharm, so they do not want you to do that.

    @dougmillar3874 3 роки тому +9

    Why don't doctors address the issue of what causes cholesterol particles to stick to the interior walls of the arteries? We need cholesterol - its in every cell of the body. The real culprit is not cholesterol its the condition of the arteries that cause it to stick to the walls. That condition is inflammation and inflammation is predominantly caused by the consumption of sugar. When we look at the consumption of sugar per person since 1900 until today we see a significant rise in heart disease and heart attacks almost paralleling the rise in sugar consumption. There is a direct correlation between the two but doctors don't look at this because they make more money (as do the pharmaceutical companies) with each prescription written. If your doctor prescribes a statin to lower your cholesterol ask him/her what causes cholesterol to collect in the arteries. He/she probably doesn't know. Time to find a different doctor - preferably one who knows why. They simply aren't trained about this in medical school because the pharmaceutical companies fund the schools of medicine and influence the curriculum to protect their biggest selling drug - you guessed it - STATINS! CHOLESTEROL IS NOT THE PROBLEM!

    The medical industrial complex's failure to properly research and diagnose and treat microbiome and sleep and vital nutritional deficiency issues (including those related to Vitamin D3 and Vitamin K2 and Magnesium deficiencies as well as iatrogenic prescription medication usage) is a major reason why psychiatric iatrogenesis is a primary contributor to the third leading cause of death in the U.S. (which is iatrogenesis in general). If the U.S. spent just a fraction of the over $40 billion each year it spends just on iatrogenic psychiatric drugs alone, for properly researching the issues discussed in this and related UA-cam presentations we would probably, Lord willing, achieve an absolute revolution in medical efficacy improvement and iatrogenesis reduction.
