- Опубліковано 13 вер 2022
- The biggest size different in MMA history? Every fight is 'David vs. Goliath' when one of the competitors is former American sumo wrestler Emmanuel Yarbrough who was 6'7', 600+ pounds, and taking on Daiju Takase who was making his pro MMA debut against that mountain of a man.

It was a very calculated fight. 10 minutes of walking around in round 1 at 600 pounds completely fatigued him. Bringing him down meant he was not getting up again and all he could do was lie on his stomach. All that lubricating sweat made for an easy escape. The punches did not do much. It was the fatigue and shortness of breath that made him tap out.
The punches made him slightly loosen his grip

Dad always did say knock em down and kick em for falling

He didn't even wanna be there bro
The commentators are the best!!! “It’s like jaws swallow him up”…” this is like a horror sho” LMAO

That horrified "NOOOOO!!!!!!" when he went for the knees! I've never in my life laughed and feared so much at the same time.
@@Juicetheeunuch I know what you mean! I was thinking the same thing! What is he doing? He's going to get crushed! OMG! I couldn't stop laughing!

Considering the weight difference this was probably the most exceptional feat of tactics and skill I've seen by a smaller fighter. Bravo to Takase.
Yeah. And the guy didn’t deserve the warning. I mean the opponent is 4 times his size, it’s fair play if he tried to stall him until the big man got tired.
'This is actually a really silly matchup' I swear I busted up laughing so hard when he said that
😢😮
good job..bung

"just walking around is not healthy for this guy" 🤣
I thought the earthquake comment was the best 😂😂
I can't be the only one who feels sorry for the poor fella, I wish ya the best big man hit the gym and hit it hard
Poor guy died of a heart attack in 2015 😢 it’s a shame because I hear he was a good egg outside of the octagon and he’d lost more than 100lbs by the time his size caught up with him
มวยอะไรหวา
He is a sumo wrestler that’s why he is so fat
yeah i also feel bad for him especially when he watches the fight and he sees the commentators just roasting him but can't balme the commentators there isn't much to comment about it's just a long walking competition *but yeah i feel bad for the big guy but you gotta bare the responsibilities of your actions* poor fellow probably wanted to be a boxer but that didn't work out well because he was obese
fuck this gym bulshit, pratice a sport your like instead of following hte new unhealhtly trend of feeding your ego
Whoever convinced Yarbrough to make fighting a career clearly had a sense of humor
Ya bro...
🤣😂
He is a sumo wrestler, not an MMA fighter. I believe this was a one-time exhibition for him (for a big chunk of money, no doubt)

My guy was fighting for his life, no wonder he got a trophy at the end 😂
You mean atrophy! Of the heart😭💀

Commentators we're gold in this one
Bro's a punch out boss ☠️
😂😂😂😂
this is a real life boss fight! You have this massive creature lumbering for you. what a nightmare. haha

That big guy is one burger away from a heart attack.
Surprised he didnt have them ring the bell in between rounds so he could take bites of a burger
I’m surprised he didn’t get a heart attack just from standing that long.
he died from a heart attack in 2015, dont say that.
@@maddragonfromkamurochoimpressive he stayed fresh for so long.
I love how the commentators are reluctant at first but slowly ease into fat shaming and after a while they become really imaginative and creative with their words...

this was the first mma match I ever watched when I was a kid, I thought it is a boxing or kickboxing match, I was surprised when they fought on the ground
6:50 ,,God knows what he hit there"💀💀

People are praising the Japanese guy under this video because he won, and under another video they call him a coward because he lost, why is the world like that.
" It's not healthy for him to walk" - commentators lol.
Probably the healthiest thing he did all decade
Hope there's commentators like them
Takase fighting for his life
he should be disqualified for avoiding a fight
@Wozik87 I mean if you can beat a dude that is over 500 pounds, go right ahead no one is stopping you.
This is like going straight to a boss fight in games
This is like a low health ranger fighting the boss version of a tank
“3.5 on the Richter scale” 😂😂
“This is like Jaws. This is like Jaws. This is like Jaws”. Love the commentary track here. Like a movie, done after the movie was made.
Huge credit to both fighters. Takase defeated Jaws, and also beat Anderson Silva. Not too bad, being undersized in both fights. And Yarbrough wow, amazing stamina. Most people who reach 600 lbs never make it out of bed.
So true. I see a lot of people making fun of Yarbrough but you can tell it's not just fat. Most people at 600lbs can't even stand on their feet and this guy is out here fighting.
My level of anxiety when Yarbrough caught Takase.
I know !!!!
It was like in some nature documentary. The leapord seal catches the penguin
he caught him and held his leg only.. this has to be a scripted fight to promote the other fighter. he could of easily moved up on his body and it would of been game over
@@321zxcTakase would’ve died and Yarborough knew that. 600lbs on a 169lb guy would crush him.
@@Donkeysballsmate that’s an elephant seal, not leopard seal!!😂

Good workout for Yarbrough .
Pouring out sweat by walking around !
I mean I doubt that ring is cool with all the lights shining on it
4:37 "Just walking around is not healthy for this guy" 😆😆that's what he needs tho!
Wow...sweating like that, from just walking around?? That dude is a walking heart attack
15:43 - 15:50 I’m super impressed how the big guy managed to stand up that quickly, they must’ve dangled a hot-dog from the ceiling
Bro 😂
I remember when the UFC had no weight classes. Made for interesting flights, not counting the groin strikes.
This is just the saddest fight I've ever seen in my life...
I fell even more sad for the bigger guy.
There's nothing wrong with that fight. You cant just let a big guy grab u or it's over

Man, the console war of 1998 was something else.
I always lose it at that totally random, deep-voiced "THIS IS LIKE..." at 15:16. xD
Commentators just ripping on the big guys the whole time 😂 talking about earthquakes
When the match started I figured the 169 lb guy would win. But then I was rooting for Yarborough because of all that stalling.
The running around reminded me of Super Mario 64, the Mario Vs. King Bob-Omb boss fight.

"....this is like a horror show!" AHAHAHAHA Laughed my ass off.
IN MY VIEW
14:20 The only reason Daiju Takase was able to get out from Emmanuel Yarbrough was because Yarbrough did not have enough wind to KEEP holding him. Yarbrough is too out of shape.
It would also depend on the each of their grappling skills. A smaller experienced grappler will usually beat a bigger untrained guy.
14:26 "This is like Jaws!!" 🤣🤣🤣
I laughed so hard. All I saw was Jaws 😂
The commentators....."All most smothered him" "It's like watching a horror movie"

"Get in my Belly"🤣
"Nooooo! This is horrible. This is like Jaws!"
Commentator was definitely playing Mario 64 around this time with the “running around making big man dizzy” strats
The most "... silly setup ..." was what I believe I heard.
In this situation one has to use ones own advantage over the opponents disadvantage.
Odd that the 'boxing' referee only urged Takase to go into the fight. Why shouldn't Yarborough be urged as much as well?
Suddenly, as a consequence of Takases attack, the odds where nearly 51-49 until it finally tipped over in the favour of Takase.
Until then, from a physical perspective, there was a slightly stable balance, which became very unstable and tipped into a very unpredictable and very stable balance.
"... silly setup ...".
Forced to fight*
Pride was truly on another level
For joking, yes
Pride didn't get awesome until about Grand Prix 2000, the first 3 years of Pride was as bad as the old UFC, more of a spectacle
He said it's like a horror movie 😂
Bradley Martin shaking in his boots rn.
I'm not 100% certain but this may be before they had weight classes. Then again PRIDE is notorious for having opening weight tournaments and this may be one of those ridiculous matches. 😆
LOL, dude actually went for a single leg…
guy is fighting a dark souls boss but in real life
All i could think of is " walrus " when i seen him crawling across the ring
That was ridiculous!!!!!! Very entertaining, my curiosity got the better of me
These commentators had me in stitches 😭
He could lose 200 pounds and still be too heavy.
I wonder how he wipes
@@Knowledge.to_Comefront to front
commentators aren't my favorite for a good majority of it, but the "this is actually a really silly setup" and "this is like jaws" is probably the funniest by far. the forced jokes weren't that great imo, but to each their own, this was several years back. It was a plotwist for sure, props to takase for getting out of that one.
8:13 the richter scale is crazy 💀💀
This is a fight where the King Hippo strategy from the NES game Punch-Out would work beautifully. 😂
Imagine geting a 600. Pound man mounted on your legs
Imagine being 600 and still being so pathetic at fighting that you can’t take advantage of that position?
Imagine the amount of toilet paper used wiping dat ass.
the commentators are ruthless through this whole fight
that guy moves around the ring like i go to the bathroom at 4am
Dammnnn
Takase is the real deal
That big dude must do his training at MacDonalds 😂
It's like Little Mac vs King Hippo in Mike Tyson's Punch out

Takashi had more chances to twist the arm the wrist. You have to think when your in a bad situation. But in that situation, fast thinking and keep your cool for openings. Big guys have those weaknesses, takem when you can get em

Absolutely awesome!💪
Yarbrough watching him run past him the first time: 😐
About knowing when to choose your moment and the calculated risk that comes with it.
Fight begins at 14:00... you're welcome.
The way how the announcer say Emmanuel tho.
that was a bold move for the smaller guy to do the leg takedown on the bigger guy. it worked in his favour but I think he got lucky and wasn't penalized enough for maintaining too much distance at the beginning
It’s not the size of the dog in the fight but the size of the fight in the dog.
*Eye of the tiger plays in the background*
I don’t know much about fighting but it seems like he could kick him straight in the knees.
That's the attack to go with.
Inside and outside knee and thigh strikes until the big man is crying to his coach that it hurts!
Thrillsville. It's like watching a mosquito buzzing around a water buffalo.
My 600 pound life vs kickboxer
Is this a joke why would any fighting organization sanction this
Because it’s entertaining
It's funny, it really doesn't have to be much more than that
It's funny as hell and they both agreed and got paid for it, I don't understand the problem
MMA was still in its infancy back then

@@Luis-X13 you should have paid more attention to the commentators. They were hilarious 😂 this one is a keeper
@Luis-X when big dude got on top of him, he said, "this is like Jaws" 😂
@Luis-X the commentator started off with "you don't want this guy mounting you, or side mounting you" 😂
@Luis-X he said "you couldn't even kill him with a samurai sword, he's too big"

the commentary killed me
Dark sould be like💀
Did the commentators really have to rip him to pieces for the entire thing? Imagine how much shit that guy has put up with in his life already ☹️
They’re being entertaining in a very low action fight. It’s their job. Commenting on a fighters physique is also part of their job. 2 for 1
I heard he was actually a really great guy
That's what you get for fighting a guy literally a quarter of your size. Hard to respect that.
My man didn’t have to be a fighter if he didn’t want to. Could have modelled bras for a living instead…
He must have a lot on his plate
He didn't even stop for a snack
This has all the drama of watching laundry dry.
It’s not about being big or small it’s all about knowledge of what’s your participating in if you know more than the other you will win 90% of the time he had a better strategy
Statement from someone who’s never fought, professionally or otherwise. It’s quite the opposite. 90% of the time, size matters. This matchup is an outlier because yarboroughs size is SO massive that it’s a detriment, not a benefit.
false
I actually fought smaller opponents with more skill and i can grant you many times size becomes irrelevant
There should be points docked for running away
