Hi, i really liked the recipe. I am confused between normal instapot and instapot with air fryer lid . I hope with airfryer lid, it is still as effective as the standalone instapot to act as pressure cooker and slow cooker ?
Instant Pot duo crisp & air fryer can act as a regular Instant Pot for pressure, steam cooking & have to keep the pressure cooker lid. For air fryer, bake & broil; air fryer lid has to be placed. If you don’t have a separate air fryer I would highly recommend this Instant Pot- so many settings & just one pot with 2 lids.

There are 2 choices, low & high pressure. Instant Pot has a max working pressure of 15.23psi (105kpa.

I want to purchase instant pot please give me suggestion. Shall I purchase instant pot and instant air fryer separately or this instant cooker with air-fryer. Because what I can see here is this air-fryer take more time to air-fry. Because you have tried so you know more 😊
If you do a lot of air frying, it's good to get a separate air fryer as I find the separate Instant Pot air fryer is very compact & spacious. But if you only air fry occasionally this one should be good enough- you can have multi features in just one appliance & is cost effective.
What should be the size of it for 2 people pls ?
Instant Pot duo crisp & air fryer, available in 6 & 8 quarts. For 2 people, 6 qt should be good.
Can iterate rice in this pot?
Rice can be cooked in pressure cook setting.
What do I do if I don’t have the air fryer base??

There is certainly a warmup for air frying. Things is, the manual should state it, or the machine should say "heat" like it does before pressure cooking. It's a fault in the design. I think by adding 10-15mins onto the actual cook time you may get better results.
I find in air fryers there is no preheating.

Half way through, you can take the air fryer basket out & shake the fries. I’ll post the fries making video soon :)
Don’t discard to chicken liquid.
Freeze it and use it in soups in the future.
