I really hate this new trend of having HVAC controls under a touch screen. It's bad enough when the radio is fully touch screen. Touch screens in cars are dangerous.

That Dachshund is adorable; the breed was developed over a thousand years ago in Germany. These world class cars were developed many centuries later, in the same country. There’s a connection there. 😅
I was very lucky to drive a Cross Turismo just recently (even if only for 25miles) and honestly it is the best drive I’ve ever had. I love the sound you get from a performance combustion engine but at no point did I even think about that whilst driving this Porsche. I’ve driven Cayman GTS previously but this Cross T is now the ONLY car I want to drive. And let’s be real, it is absolutely STUNNING!
Mr Plato is a dying breed, a Racing Driver with 'something about him', not the corporate, cookie cutter, made in a lab drivers of the last 10 years. We will all shed big tears when Kimi, James Hunt, Mr Plato, Mat Neal, etc... are distant memories.....................god I am old...............where are my slippers and pipe..............:-)
Perhaps 2 year ago so sorry for late comment but Mr Plato was always a perfect gentleman at Touring car events and had loads of time for his fans. I Miss watching him race touring cars.
The best thing I learnt in this video is the existence of 88.3 Centreforce. Being a northerner we have our home dodgy radio stations for speed garage and 'bangers for breakfast' but its good to know Jonny has never left his Max Power days. Imagine taking this car back 25 years to B&Q car park on a Sunday night amongst the Novas and XR3is. It would have blown my mind.
I do love Johnny's reviews. There is no other channel on UA-cam that you can have a 140k electric car and a cheap beetle or even a mini bike. That's great. Always something for everyone. Keep up the great work Johnny and the team.
Great review! Last week I followed a Porsche with Plato number plate on the m40, thinking wow that could be JP. Turns out it was. He was driving like a saint, cruising at 60. Top guy

It seems like the 20mm increase kind of goes unnoticed, because of the long, lower profile of the car (especially at the back). I wouldn’t have guessed it was 20mm higher if you hadn’t of told me. Still loving your channel and the variety it has! Be well.

Honestly this is the best looking car imo that came out the last 10 years. I absolutely love the overall shape, and the rear end. Kinda Panamera, shootinb rake style. Perfect mix between sleek and aggressive. Beautiful

Could not agree more - I was patiently waiting from the Turismo, but was not too keen on the 'Cross' element. Go on Porsche - you know you want to.... The 4S is the sweet spot in my book too.
My son's girlfriends parents have just bought a Taycan, it's a hell of a machine. (They've got plenty of money!!!) I just can't get my head around such a sporty car shooting off into the distance with no exhaust barking away. I wonder if it takes some of the "emotion" from the drive? Still....I wouldn't say no 😁💰
Great stuff! EV estates is such an empty market space. This and the MG5. Shame it’s a “Cross Turismo” and not an estate. Exactly Jonny! Just a plain Taycan estate. Don’t need the faux-roader body addenda and 20mm lift with gravel mode. Just want a quick, quality EV estate.
Quick one Jonny: No one’s addressed the fact that the max DC charge power is only on 800V chargers. If you’re on a 400V charger, power is limited to 50kW(?) unless you spring for the optional (!!!) 400-800V step up charger to get increased power. I note the new 800V Hyundai has this as standard....
@mstrbkr And you can, even on the Taycan: The suspension has three adjustable height positions. And the lift setting is plenty high! The problem is the Cross Turismo suspension is ALWAYS 20mm higher than the Taycan, no matter which height you set it to. MTB access is great, I agree, that's why it's adjustable. Having the sport setting for on road use 20mm higher as well, not so much.
I don't remember 100% for sure but i think in their configurator thing most of the plastic bits are an option. that doesn't do anything for the extra lift but I reckon it wouldn't bother me in its lowest setting.

The spec on this Cros Turismo is gorgeous. As an American with two large dogs, who loves the color blue, and actually likes wagons, I want one. As a broke person back in college, I'll never have one, but still.
I'm not a fan of black wheels. I think this is more so with EVs because their wheels don't get covered in brake dust so shiny bright wheels stay looking good. Good looking for an estate car (I did it - what are you going to do about it?).. Brilliant stealth guard dog.

I’m thinking a day with Tiff next. 🤔 I know he still owns some crap cars like an old Corsa but he’s up for a laugh and some scary fun on the track. Never forget that episode on 5th Gear when he had all 4 of you in, I think a Focus estate and his done a crazy 360 and carried on like it was a normal everyday thing to do. You were all laughing afterwards I bet but at the time I could smell the wee wee in all your trousers through the TV. 🤣🤣🤣

Does the car's bike rack recharge the ebikes as you drive along? You could use the ebikes as range extenders in a pinch.
