Hello from England. I love that you're getting into their older music. This was the first song that they wrote, recorded and produced for themselves. Previously the record company had people writing songs for them. Kanami had been writing songs for almost 3 years...all rejected by the company. After this, all that changed. They threw everything at this song and it really paid off. Nerd note: At the very beginning of the video (and very hard to see) Saiki throws her mike stand to the floor. She has never used a mike stand since.
Great reaction and as others have pointed out this was the first song that was allowed by their label that was written completely by them. Thanks for continuing to react to Band-Maid.
The timing of you saying it might be one of your favourite new songs, just before the solo, was perfect. The song is one of about a dozen contenders for my favourite, but I think it is my favourite Band-Maid guitar solo.
An important song for the Maids. It was the first song, entirely written and arranged by them, to be allowed onto an album. After this, all songs are written and arranged by them (except for the song 'Smile' in 2019). Oh, and 'The Dragon cries, made in collab with Tony Visconti.
As @Jonas_S_ said, this is the first song allowed by their record company back in the day. Kanami wrote songs for BAND-MAID for years but, the bigwigs wouldn't give their okay until this song. Hence then, BM has written and recorded their own songs since. So, ALONE, is an epic song for so many reasons.
Once they were left "Alone" by their record / management companies to create what they wanted, well... look what they did. Alone's somewhat sad, heavy yet empowering story (topics Miku's known for writing about), up against Kanami's up-tempo, complex yet rockin' music is quintessential Band-Maid. BAND-MAID is an important influence and contributor to the music industry with a continuous, growing worldwide fanbase. But to me, they are just the best sounding, best writers of hard rock music, and the most fun, joyous group of musicians to come along since the Beatles! Thx, Kazz!
They made 3 versions of this MV, the regular one you watched, the extended intro version on the DVD, and the karaoke version with Miku on her Zemaitis instead of the Rickenbacker 😁
I have a collection of my favorite 70 Band-Maid songs. This one ranks as number somewhere between 1 and 70. I mean cmon, how do you rate Alone ahead of Rinne, or Rinne ahead of Alone? Or Puzzle? Or Domination? Or Endless Story? Play? Hate? Choose Me? Or name any of them. No other band has this many favorites. Ugh....
This is their first ever all Band-Maid creative freedom song!

That almost feels metaphorical.

One of my favorite Band Maid songs and one of my favorite Kanami solos! Just beautiful!!! Thanks for your reaction!
"Alone" is definitely in my top 10 of 75 top 10 Band-Maid songs! 🤣🤘

Favourite song. Period. 🙂
For me, 5th. But I get it
I always say I don't know why. I think he solved it. The beat. It might just be that simple.

This song has what a lot of fans call Kanami's best solo! Hard to argue with that opinion!
The most speed metal solo I hear from Kanami.
@@lurkmerchant You have listened to "Giovanni" I assume.
@@waynebenedict5785 Of course.
