CATCH A RIDE !
You can be one of two things, hyped for this movie, or a Borderlands fan, but you can't be both without lying about the other.
Both still agree the casting wasnt great to iffy at best. And this feels really close to dead on Arrival sadly. The only decent casts are Krieg and Marcus and one just has the correct body type so its really only 1 good casting. Also no brick or mordecai or zero or Axton or Maya? Theses are great characters espeacially since this is suppose to be a "retelling".
(Sigh) It looks fun and I’m still watching it. I’ve been a borderlands fan for about 5-6 years.
I hope thta's not Tiny Tina..cuz that actress doesn't have any of Tiny Tina's mannerisms
im hype for this movie, love the games, curious to see how good or bad it is but im going to see it no matter what lol

I feel Idris Elba would've been a perfect Roland
Idris or Terry Cruise, Michael Jai White
even Duane Johnson, Mike Epps, Sterling K Brown, Michael B. Jordon, or Jeffrey Wright. Kevin Hart is too much of a clown to play Roland.

They did Roland and Tannis dirty, Marcus should have introduced the trailer, there’s no cage of the elephant jams, and they better make krieg as gory and insane as he was and claptrap crude and annoying.
The villain is Deukalian Atlas played by Edgar Ramirez. He's the head of the Atlas Corporation. Handsome Jack was the head of the Hyperion Corporation.
great to see actresses other than blunt Ferguson Johansson get a lead action role
wheres axton salvador gaige maya zero brick and mordecai since they wanna add krieg that means it takes place during bl2 also not having no rest for the wicked playing is a red flag
Randy Pitchford has already stated that this is not Canon to the games. This way it can exist as its own thing and it's own story. Think alternate universe.

This movie looks great but also looks like a disappointment also.
My first problem is the casting, how the hell do you mess about this casting so bad, this is who I’d cast for Borderlands, keep in mind the only actors I wouldn’t change as Florian Munteanu as Krieg, and Benjamin Davis as Marcus.
My casting:
Ana De Armas as Lilith
Julia Sarah Stone as Tiny Tina
Emily Browning as Patrica Tannis
Daniel Kaluuya or Laurence Fishburne as Roland
And either David Eddings or Jim Florando who both have voiced Claptrap in the games and prefer either them 2 then Jack Black.
Mad Moxxi is my curious, I think I’d want either Angelina Jolie, Winona Ryder, Rose Byrne, or Bruce Dallas Howard as Mad Moxxi.
In my first impressions it looks great, but the comedy just isn’t funny at all in my opinion.
Apparently General Knoxx is in the film aswell. As the first game end boss was just a disappointment. will be interesting to see who is the big bad, and if the first films goes well, i'd love to see Handsome Jack in the sequel.
Yea I'm curious to see if a sequel was kept in mind at all and how profitable this ends up being.

apart from weaver playing tannis she was my go to pick for this character if there was a movie

Jack Black is claptrap thats not a good choice
why isnt mordi and brick in it
tina and krieg make no sense
cause they shouldn't be at that point in there life yet
krieg would still be sane cause he was created by Hyperion
Tina would still have there parents cause they were sold by a bandit to Hyperion for experimentation

That's a very interesting cast! I much prefer that Roland casting honestly.

However the fact that he wasn’t joking around, he didn’t seem like a wimp whatsoever and him just getting irritated when someone does something dumb like a military guy would somehow made me change my mind. It genuinely feels like they’re trying
Is this supposed to be bordelands 1? Bl2? BL3? cause if its one they missing characters, if its 3 that explains tina but not krieg, if its 2 then that explains krieg. Wtf.
Also bad casting. These movie producers should let people vote on who to cast

As far as i see it its borderlands the game just in an alternate universe if people want to poo poo the characters the cast portrays then just stick to the games lol

Parts i like others I didnt. Kate blanchett is about 40 years to old to portray lillith and that marvel style so called comedy is the worst. Tina just looks and sounds annoying nothing like the tina innthe games. It might be good if you arent a fan
It makes sense on this movie cause this the same Lilith but older on this universe
I love the games but you can not say that Tina isnt annoying in the games
That's the thing too, if you haven't played the games at all I wonder how good it will be to newcomers.
Kate Blanchett is actually 54, she does look good for her age, but I see your point she may be too old to play Lillith.
Here’s how I see it what is the point of creating a movie with characters that people love from a beloved video game series when you don’t even care enough the cast the right actors and actresses to play those beloved characters. Jack Black, the psycho and tiny Tina are the only thing that was even decent about this trailer. The rest of them is horrible. Specifically, Roland and Lilith.
Yea I get what you mean, there's some parts that look better than others for this movie for sure.
Horrible cast. Old women, not Claptrap too bad just use the game voice actor, Kevin Heart, I just see the same character as all his movies. Ugh.
