If a trailer is telling you from the producer [Avi Arad] that did Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire one), Venom and Uncharted be very worried if you're a fan of Borderlands. Because this man was also a producer on movies such as Spider-Man 3, Venom 1 & 2, Elektra, Daredevil, The Fantastic Four 1&2, Uncharted, X-Men Orginis: Wolverine, Ghost Rider, Ghost in the Shell, Morbius, X-Men 3 and The Amazing Spider-Man 1&2. Avi Arad has ruined tons of franchises over the last 20 years or in best cases did a lot of damage to it. Luckily some were able to be repaired by other producers that actually understood the property
huge fan of the games also played all of them so im really 50/50 with this film bro, as an actor i understand so im willing to get the cast a chance but man i really have questions about some of the cast choices and the characters they chose to bring into this first movie, i mean i just hope this doesn't tank and there no way it does worst than Sony's Madam Web lol! and them flexing Uncharted and Venom is like meeehhh! idk bro fingers crossed man lol!

I'm willing to at least give it a chance, but the more I see movies like this coming out, the more obvious it is that Hollywood seems to be completely incapable of original thoughts at this point. I'm basically seeing a bunch of game to movie adaptations (Sonic/Mario), remakes of movies that have already seen at least 2 remakes in my life time alone (Willy Wonka/Dirty Dancing), and bastardizations of various other properties (Dungeons & Dragons/The Witcher). Nothing original, I don't think I've been hyped for a movie for a least a decade now.

Of all the games that could be made into a movie, Borderlands is an odd choice. The trailer looks ok, though.
As a big fan who's put countless hours into the BL series, this is OK I guess. Very Hollywood. I feel like this series is kinda "easy" to mold into a movie because of the over-the-top things mixed with comedy. Not 100% sold on the casting but I won't critique on that based on a trailer. I give it a solid 65% Also Mad Moxxi looked way more .. revealing in my memories than in that freeze frame you got lol.

The casting alone is a red flag. Roland’s like one of the most serious characters in borderlands and they cast Kevin Hart in the role.
And claptrap only needs a voice actor, so not hiring one of the original actors or even someone who at least sounds close to It is the biggest red flag. claptrap voice is probably the single easiest thing to get right and they got it wrong. How do you fucked that up?

No one seems casted correctly, claptrap should have been the same VA as the game (even tho they changed it for bl3, even that VA would have sounded better) jack is doing his best to pitch his voice up but its still so far away... while ashley birch is fantastic as tina's VA she is also waaaaay older than the character, at least the bl2 version of the character who is 12 which is the version they went for here... i cant see kevin hart as roland, all i see is kevin in a costume. Everyone else either didnt speak enough or just felt off just in the character's look

Looks good people need to stop hating man people are molding over casting... i personally dont think it's bad. been a borderlands fan since the 1st one dropped. Handsome Jack was and is the best protag/villan ever.
Honestly people just like to complain. It's an adaption that looks fun and chaotic.
As a fan from the very 1st borderlands game I'd say our 2 cents aren't so much hate as they are VALID points given not only the recent slew of terrible game/comic adaptations but also why the f is krieg and mouthpiece here lmao

Honestly James Gunn took inspiration from Borderlands into making Guardians. Original Guardians were much more righteous heroes

All the male chars removed other than a midget and a guy who is basically a dog on a leashe. While 2 female chars who arent fighters at all aree added to the group..... Yeah, no way around it, this might be one of the worst woke films of the decade, maby ever.
