    Perfect! Just what I needed. Needed to check what piston-tool is needed for the rear calipers. Also got a white 159SW. It is such a beautiful car.

    What tool did you use to push the round head to fit the caliper back on when reassembling?

      A piston presser tool BGS 1104

    Thank you so much for sharing this video. I love the way you work, very clean and tidy, and always using the torque wrench.
    Since I'm planning to do the same job on my 159, I'm wondering if, in order to wind back the caliper pistons, I must rotate the tool clockwise on booth sides
    or maybe the rotation must be clockwise on the right side and anticlockwise on the left side (like some other moldels).
    Can you be so kind to clarify me? Thank you in advance!

    • @939driver
      @939driver  Рік тому

      Thank you very much for the kind comment! 🙏🍀 Yes, to wind back the caliper the tool must be rotated clockwise to press the piston back. And then counter clockwise you can remove the tool from the caliper again 💪 Cheers 🍀

      @@939driver Can you confirm that both sides retract clockwise, so both rear right and left calipers use the same clockwise rotating tool.
      Cause I'm about to buy and want to see if I can get away with just one tool or if I need the whole set.

    • @939driver
      @939driver  Рік тому

      @@randomchannel1712 yes the tool just pushes the piston back in position. The tool rotates clockwise to push back, and counter clockwise to release amd can be used for both sides

      @@939driverBut he is not asking for the tool, he is asking for the caliper pistons. If the right side requires to be pushed in by rotating it clockwise, and the left side maybe requires to be pushed in by rotating it counterclockwise.

    I will be doing mine this Saturday. The rear left brakes are binding a bit (when I spin the wheel and release it, it stops right away). And the discs are worn to zero. Plus I have a noise, that I thought was the rear wheel bearing, but it is just the worn discs with new pads (from previous owner).
    Does handbrake need adjusting afterwards?

    • @939driver
      @939driver  Місяць тому +1

      Great work man, 💪 the handbrake does not need particular adjusting afterwards. Only if you have slack on the handbrake.

      @@939driver Did you had to bleed the air out of the system afterwards? Because I have just done the left side, and turned the engine on and pumped the brakes. But I think tge brake pedal feels spungy now. Not sure if the air had entered into the caliper when I was turning/pushing in the piston. :/

      @@939driver I did the right side too now. I don't know man, it seems as the air has gotten into the system somehow. I mean, it now brakes like crazy in reverse, but forward I think worse.
