Thanks man. I replaced my discs and pads today. Very simple to do when following your video step for step. Garage quoted me €1100. I ordered original Brembo parts for €400. So I saved myself around €700 in a Saturday by doing it myself. 😂
Thanks Jim, super helpful video again! Just ordered the perforated discs, shame indeed they are not available for the rear. Current front brakes are squeaking like crazy when you push them half (pads are new) so hope the new disks will make a change. If I may give a small suggestion which would help me and I guess others as well with all the instruction videos: it would be great if you mention torque specs. Especially because garage manuals for this car are very difficult to find. Thanks!
Hi Jim, Gonna give it a try today :-) Do I see well in the video that you are pushing back the pistons by putting force with a screwdriver between disc and the pad? My current pads are new, don't want to damage them but do want to take them out and put some copper grease to hopefully stop the squeaking. Can you also first pull off the calliper from the disc and then take out the pads and push pistons back with a piston tool, or will the calliper remain stuck to the disc? Hope you get what I mean haha. Regards from Haarlem!
@@user-rr2ov9it4e hi man! Yes the caliper will most likely be stuck. You can push the brake pads away carefully from the opening at the back of the Brembo caliper. There at that area the pad also doesn't touch the brake disc. So very safe to use sometihing like a small pry bar or large screw driver. Cheers 🍀

Hi Jim…. Congratulation for your channel. Do you know is those calipers can be installed in a 18 inch aluminium wheels? Thanks and keep pushing with the channel. We will be forwards to watch next video!!
@@939driver apologise for asking so many question, but the thing is that your calipers can be used in a 305 and 330mm brake disk, right? I thought the calipers for 330 mm should be bigger than the 305 one. Thanks for your answer.

Nice work! How many Nm do you use to screw caliper ? How many brake fluid i need to buy in order to replace the old ? When i disassemble the caliper how should i block fluid from leak away ?
Thanks man! About 70 Nm. Normally for just one axle 1L should be good enough, and you can block the fluid with a safely placed clamp on the brake hose. Cheers 🍀
Strange that Brembo does not offer those for the Brera 2.2 JTS. But when you look at the sizes, they are the same for the other models with different engines. Anyway, I preffer slotted discs. Brembo makes them as well, but again, not for Brera. -_-
Hi, I have the same car as you but mine has the turbine style alloys 18 inch I bought it in winter when the car had non Alfa Romeo winter alloys on fitted with spacers. As I fitted the the turbine alloys last week I noticed that there is barely any clearance between the front callipers and inside of the rim spokes 2 or 3mm at most. Is it the same with your rims?
Thanks Great instructional video. Really helped me changing the discs and pads on my 939 Spider. Your Alfa looks great !
Thank you man!!
Nice work bro. Definitely, they look gorgeous.
Thank you bro!! 🍀🙏 yeah much better than the old faded ones
Nice Work! Im looking forward to put my silver ti Rims on when it's getting warmer. They look great on a white 159!
Thanks my friend! 🙏🍀 ah great! 🔥 Yeah does look good! I am actually looking for OEM titanium Ti wheels myself 😂🔥
same
Looks great. May consider these for my Brera now.
Yeah thanks mate, can recommend them

They do make the Brembo extra for the rears, I fitted some to my 159sw around 6 months ago
For double discs? I believe they only had the Xtra for non-Ti models with single rear disc.

Nice vid, thanks, but what is it that you spray on the hub after cleaning off rust? Something to prevent further corrosion?

Hey , where did you get the metal parts that go in caliper after the pad, the one on the free space where you can put the pads in?
They normally come with the pads. I have Brembo pads and discs

What socket type are you using for the caliper bolts?
Torx socket E18 I used
What torque values needed for the caliper bolts?
If I remember I torqued them to 70-75 Nm.
How is the brake disk now after 1 year of use? How many km you put on it?
Yeah it still good, not a lot of fading.
