In this video the intake valves of my 159 1750 TBi (1.8 TBi) are getting carbon cleaned by walnut blasting. In this video we do a carbon cleaning on the intake valves of my 2.2 JTS engine. With direct injection the intake valves can get clogged overtime due to carbon deposits and crankcase gasses sticking to the valves. If this get worse the engine can start running rich, rough idle, misfire and loose performance and fuel economy. So to keep the engine of my Brera healthy, a carbon cleaning is perfor...

Love your work man
Thanks man!! 🙏 I appreciate that!
Thought ypu had to take the top part of the grille offf
No not necessary 😎
I did this on mine a year and a bit ago. But I've screwd it up. :I I've glued the new one crucked. And I did not see it, because from the feont it looks fine, but one one side it was not presses in completelly, so there is a gap. :( Oh well. I then bought a somplete chrome trim with the new emblem installed as well. But I am saving it for when (and if) I have the bonnet resprayed due to cracked paint around the emblem. Original ones last a long time, 10+ years. No need for protection. 😊
@@DashCamSerbia ah yes, great to have a spare original scudetto for spare part 👌🏻🇮🇹
Easily done pal, I did the same thing😂
That’s the right way to do it! I normally do it with a flat screwdriver brutally 😅
Haha that will do it as well 😅
Great video my friend! And you have such beautiful cars 😎
Thank you Chief! I appreciate that! And thanks for watching my friend 🙏🇮🇹
If you want this badge to last you should spray some lacquer on it before putting it on. It helped me a lot
Mine faded after 2 years😢 I did double coat it with clear laquer...maybe not being an oem badge is a factor...
No matter what you do, the cheap crap will go bad. Only buy original emblems. They last 10+ years Everything else is a waste of time ans money. This cars are not some Fiat Punto, don't try to save money on parts...
This is so amazing! I just ordered online a new one for my 159 and I'll be changing it next week. So usefull.
Aaah glad it is usefull!! Thanks so much! 🙏 Your 159 will be having a nice badge soon!
I did my rear one last year on my Brera with the electric boot button. Bought off ebay (not OEM) and lacquered it and it's faded again. Where did you get your OEM one from? Cheers Good tip about heating up the glue before application.
Thanks man!! And thank you for watching! I got mine from Shop Alfisti Net 🍀 I got the rear boot badge as well. But have to install it sometime
Only buy original ones. You can find them easily. They last 10+ years. Buy cheap, buy again...
Hi and thanks for your videos. I just took advantage of a broken shock absorber to do the same upgrade as you. Here the H&R springs are new and I notice that the front is lowered well, but at the rear I have the impression that it is not lowered. Did you notice the same thing with your new springs?
Hi! Thanks man! I do think front is a bit lower than rear. I placed an extra washer below the front top mount. It is a febi washer 3mm thickness and that way it looks really good in relation to the rear imo
My 159 TBi has now 230k kilometers and running fine. It takes about 8l/100km at longer trips, but 7.3 is also possible. But who drives for the mileage with these... I have discovered minor problem at purge valve (solenoid) vapour redirection, where it is directed via T-shape gray double valves (time 7:30 in video) either to the intake after the throttle body or before the turbo. Simply to the point, where the vacuum is greater during drive. My "double valves" were shot causing virtually direct flow between intake and turbo inlet. I did not find new part so I have assembled these from PCV valves and some additional hoses and T-shape couplers. It seems that idle "roughness" dissapeared. But in theory only one-way valve can be used to direct vapours only before turbo intake as there is always some vacuum. Hose leading after the throttle body can be blanked then.

Alfa Romeo Brera 2.2 JTS 06- Front Brake Discs Gold Drilled Grooved MTEC are they any good should i replace the originais ???
Yes I am really happy with mine on the Brera. No issues and seem to dissipate water a lot better
Nicely done mate, and I agree the silver foil looks cleaner / better than a gold one would look like - especially on a white car
Thanks man!! 🙏🍀 Yes I think so too! Gold would be a bit too much for intake. This looks quite decent 👌🏻
I really appriciate your videos mate, how calm are you, without any typical cliche chatter :D I got Tbi myself :) you are giving me a nice insight of ideas, how to simply make something new about it. I just recieved an original upgraded oil feed from giuletta 177kw into a turbo, so thats my thing to do now... Anyways, keep it continue, really good content overall.
Thank you man!! I appreciate that a lot 🙏🍀 Very motivating to continue with these videos. Great upgrade to get the oil feed pipe from Giulietta, they are a lot better. Cheers 🍀

Thanks a lot man!! 🙏🍀 I have the Xiaomi 70 mai Dashcam. I am pretty happy with it. Very good price to quality ratio.
Bonjour 🍀🙏 Yes, I can highly recommend getting the Bilstein B8 shock absorbers of you already have lowering springs. The stock springs just can not keep up with the lowering. The stock springs are not strong enough to cover the lowering. These Bilstein B8 are perfect if you like sporty driving. They are even more comfortable than my old OE shocks because they were quite soft after 10+ years. Ciao 🙏🍀
@@939driver Salut, Merci pour tes renseignements précieux : 2025 = B8s Tout comme toi je suis amoureux du "939". J'aime à la folie ces voitures. Hey man, nice job! 👍🏼 One question, how do you know the tightening torques of all those bolts? Do you have a list or a manual or something?
Thanks man!! 🙏 Most torque values I just search online via Google, forums, manuals. And some which are not critical bolts (like these dust shields) I go on recommended torque settings/specs per M thread size.
Nice work bro, what is the original oem color?
Thanks bro! Original is just gloss black
Should have painted the front ones black to match.. This is a downgrade 🤔
@@numbersletters1442 I disagree, I like it on my Brera. But on my 159 it will stay black.
@@939driver Even if you preferred the grey, it should have atleast been the same grey as the alloys in my opinion 😅
@@numbersletters1442 that would made it more expensive. This is zinc coated + 2K clear coat. Very durable.
@@939driver a slight expense at most but that's just my opinion.. I was thinking of getting a different spoiler for my Brera but I'm looking to trade for the Spider soon 🫡
@@numbersletters1442 ah nice, a Spider is beautifull as well.
Good work as usual. Where did you find the torque settings for the brake disc and shield or is it a generic safe value ?
Thanks man!! 🙏🍀 Yes dust shields is about 10-12 Nm, same for the disc centering bolt.
Those bolts are not critical to be torqued. You can just tighten them by feel. The bolts on the caliper sliders, caliper carrier and the wheel bolts need to be torqued.
Was smthng wrong with the old one? Or just wanted a new color?
Thanks, no I repainted the old ones to match with the front dust shields as well.
Hhahaha i just looked that to buy new, but i decide to repaint old one :))
Hahah, yes I did too, zinc coated + 2K clear coated.
@@939driver why zinc coated? For color?
@@LuXoR1590 because it's a good protective layer and now matches the front.
Merci pour cette video qui ma servie pour changer tous les sieges, facilement. Je passe du "noir" phase 1 au "cuoio" phase 2😀
Merci beaucoup 🍀🙏
it`s looks amazing. Perfect tiny job. I`m just curious your professional idea about spacer. I think your wheels can looks better with spacer.
Thanks man!! I am personally not a fan of spacers, they add some weight and you run more risk with hitting the wheel arch
Oh non ne vengo fuori, sto guardando per un usato sensibile ma da quando mi sono ricordato che la brera è cosa non riesco a cavarmi l'idea dalla testa, amen che non c'è col Busso, é troppo bella 🥲🥹
