He is much worse them me. My 159 does not look as good, although it is still in pretty decent condition. But I did spend 4.500 euros on it in a year, so... 😂 Although, 1.900 euros where just for the set of wheels and two set of tyres. Plus I was hunting for original parts all over the world. Hi, I would like to ask what brand of Upper control arms did you use? I have used firstly TRW, secondly LEMFÖRDER. But each after around 500-1000km started to make some crackling noise. The sound is not coming from the ball joint, but from the silentblock itself. It does this cracking noise when going over bumps on the straight road. What can cause this issue? I replaced the control arms 2 times in a row now. I set up the control arms in the same position as you when tightening the bolts. I tightened them to 70Nm. If you have any ideas, or you have encountered it yourself, then please share the ideas. Thanks!

You need to juck up the hub to the normal ride height (as when the car is on the ground) and then tighten them to the specified torque settings. You can measure the distance between the center of the wheel and the wing arch, while the car is on the ground. Then when you jack it up, lift up the hub so the distance is the same, and then tighten the bolts. Otherwise, the bushings will not last very long.
