You have just been Freddie'd. I love it when someone new discovers the greatest rock band of all time. Each is a superb musician, each is a graduate, and together they have made an incomparable team. The world was heartbroken when Freddie died, but his legacy lives on. That voice will never be equalled.
I love Queen and all their songs and if I were put on the spot without having listened to some I would say "oh I could never pick a favorite" but put this song on and every time I am reminded of how amazing they are and how talented they are and Freddie's voice and the lyrics and it all moves me and makes me sing along and I realize that this song must be my favorite.
I have watched many reactions to "Somebody to Love," and most of them ignore the exceptional harmonies by Brian May and Roger Taylor, who was incredible singing while playing drums. While Freddie was insanely great (especially LIVE), I am always in awe of the contributions of all the guys. And thank you for not interrupting May's guitar solos...some of the most heartfelt playing I've ever heard.
I love your spot-on reaction. You noticed all the important details. This might be one of the greatest live performances by a rock group in our era. Thank you so much!!!
There is no one like QUEEN they are just different . Freddie is an accomplished classical pianist as well as the lead vocalist .But together they are so great
Back in 1981 as a 14 year old I asked my mom to please drive me to go see Queen live. My dad was like he** no. Mom came through and it was an absolutely amazing concert that I have never forgotten over 40 years later.
That was great of your mom. Sometimes and something parents have to go against each other. Thank God this is what your mom disagreed on. Gave you a lifetime memory instead of resentment.
Great reaction to my favourite live performance. Freddie Mercury was full of passion, emotions and energy and he could deliver his emotions to the audience like no one else. Pls, check out You Take My Breath Away at Hyde Park 76. just Freddie and his piano.
I’m here cuz Somebody To Love is my fav song! This performance is perfection!! Queen is the greatest! Freddie still regarded as the best rock vocalist & frontman on the planet. 🌎 🌙 🌟⭐️💫✨ In fact, the planets orbit around Freddie!! Kudos to Brian May, Roger Taylor, & John Deacon! Brilliant musicians & well-educated members of the Song Writer’s Hall of Fame & Rock n Roll Hall of Fame! 💪💪
Killer Queen/Im in love with my car from the same concert. Taylor will blow your mind he's a fantastic singer in his own right. And can sing and play drums at the same time!
When I was a kid my Mom took me to several Queen concerts and to be honest they're one of the few bands that consistently sound better live than they do in the studio. I have most, if not all, of their albums but I really, really miss the subtle differences when they were in concert. Maybe it was the theater atmosphere, maybe it was the fact that ALL of the boys were confident enough to ad-lib or maybe it was just that from start to finish they OWNED every note ... doesn't matter, there's no-one since who's rocked the stage like Queen. . Psssst ... don't tell my Mom (in her 70s) but she still hasn't figured out that Freddy was bi ... lol.
Really loved your 'wrap-up'. Roger and John just fabulous energy and perfection and of course Brian too. Freddie is my especially appreciated entertainer - he simply never stops being magnificent....none of them really. Thanks for the Reaction - marvellous!
I think you would LOVE to hear the Studio version of "Somebody to Love" also. Both the Live, and Studio versions are Grrrrrrrreat. I'm only suggesting the Studio version, because there's more Choir type vocals in it that Queen couldn't do so much in the Live version. Before Freddie Mercury passed away he had wanted Aretha Franklin to do a Cover of "Somebody to Love", but Sadly never happened. Anyways, GOD BLESS YOU, & GOD BLESS AMERICA!!! OUR HOME SWEET HOME. 😎 👍🏽👍🏾👍🏿🇺🇲🤘🏿🤘🏾🤘🏽
Personally I love to see when people who are from different music genres come to the rock & roll side. They listen to queen the Beatles, stones and number of others for the first time next. Many of them say this song (what they just heard) is going in my playlist
THANK YOU FOR THE WONDERFUL REACTION💕 DO YOU KNOW THAT FREDDIE MERCURY DID AN ALBUM OF OPERA TITLED BARCELONA WITH SPANISH OPERATIC SOPRANO MONTSERRAT CABALLE?
That song is one of my favorite songs. I remember singing part of that song with my sister, while vacationing with her & my parents in Puerto Rico. I just couldn't help it.
For a live version of Queens songs, I like this one. For Studio, "Bohemian Rhapsody". I feel like you get a more intimate version for the Studio version of "Bohemian Rhapsody", especially when I can more easily see the Band's faces throughout the song and view the transitions of the songs through camera angles and special effects. Maybe because "Bohemian Rhapsody" feels more like a totally different story telling, than other similarly repeated themes about love. So as a result, I find that for me, this is why the Studio version helps "Bohemian Rhapsody" stand out.
Listen, It's going to happen anyway, so just go ahead and react to Queen at Live Aid. Yes, the whole thing. No one ever minds how long it is and you will love it. Live Aid.
Please Who ever Wanna find Flawless and Mistakes in this 'Song', You Will Only Get Ashamed in this Song. Just Listen to the Song and Appreciate ''FREDDIE'' Coz It's From 1981 and You Still Got Ashamed even in 2022. They are the "Best Band' For Me and You ( Who Wants to Make Pity to "Freddie'' Please Just Precious your time in Listening and Proud of third Songs
Here are some other amazing live performances you must see and hear ** Led Zeppelin "Kashmir" live from Celebration Day concert ** Pink Floyd "Comfortably Numb" Live from 1994 PULSE Concert ** JOURNEY "Mother Father" live 1981 Houston Concert Instrumentation and vocals are exceptional in these performances!!
there are few bands with the entire band being massively talented musicians like Queen. Each member were talented songwiters as well as very smart. Byran May the guitarist has a Ph.d in astrophysics. The only other bands that were stacked like this off the top of my head were Led Zeppellen, and the Beatles. Where each member is a brilliant musician and could have a successful solo career without issue.
It looks like you ware waiting for a queen hahahaha and no, it's not a "her" but a "they" but now as a surprise you discobered an unexpected mind blowing group from the years 70'80s and beleive me, you will go from srpises to surprises 😁
"I'm not the leader of the band, I am the lead singer, we are all equal in the band."
-Freddie Mercury
Sure i perfectly understand everyone is equal in any band and some one is always the lead vocalist
Thanks so much for watching, may his soul continue to rest on
Then he repeats back laughing:)
Queen - four individually world-class musicians, yet still the whole is exponentially greater than the mere sum of its amazing parts.
Well said!
Very well put!
Great
Always love hearing Roger getting some recognition for his backup vocals.
Freddie was the greatest male vocalist of all time. Any genre.
It's said that Superman wears a Freddie Mercury T-shirt!! 😉💜

Freddie and Roger slay it.

Great reaction. Hardly anyone gives props to Roger for handling the drums and singing along with Freddie.
He is doing an amazing job

Brian's guitar sound is iconic, no guitar identical to brian's guitar sound

Still waiting to see you watch Queensryche "Silent Lucidity"
Would it interest you to know that Freddie was born in Zanzibar Tanzania or maybe you know that already.
I think you are now ready for 'The Great Gig In The Sky' by Pink Floyd. which features one of the most beautiful vocals ever recorded!
great reaction! George Michael sang this song at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert. You might want to check it out.
Thanks
Freddy was larger than life. I recommend that you watch the movie Bohemian Raphsody. It is Freddys and Queens story.

Lead guitarist, Brain May, has PhD in Astrophysics.
Everyone needs a hobby.
Thanks was great
Another example of how the live version blew away the studio version!
Did you know that Freddie Mercury was born in Africa, in Tanzania?

Freddie shone bright too briefly
🤩💝
Think i am right in saying, but Freddie never had any professional singing lessons, or any of them for that matter
Yes, just choir in school!
If you are an opera singer, I am a kangaroo who knows how to type English
