I bought a former fastest SUV in the world for only $750. It came from an auction and was abandoned for 5 years. In this video, I briefly go over the history of this amazing machine, and then we discover the SUV together. I find some weird stuff inside, we replace a bunch of parts and try to get it started. Enjoy the show!

True story. My wife called me and said the car won't start. I told her to tap the starter with a hammer. She called back and says no start still. I go home and try to start the car but, the ignition switch and keys are beat to a pulp. She said, you told me to hit the starter.

Check the cam and crank signals. I noticed the tach doesn’t move when you crank it over. It is a common failure. And if one is bad, replace both with ONLY mopar parts. Those computers do not like aftermarket parts.

Its not a normal cam sensor. Its a pick up coil. Rarely fail in a jeep. If it does thats because your distributor is shot. No tach signal asd relay curcuit will shut down. No power to coil or fuel pump while cranking. You will have system prime at key on. But will loose asd relay function when it fails to see crank signal.
These crank sensors are super easy to test.

We have driven a 5.2L 1994 GC Limited for 7 years. 217k miles and it has been great!! But this past 2 years have been rough on it. It suddenly was an accident magnet...guy spun out in the highway in front of me and I hit him at ~20-25 mph, then a motorcycle tried to pass us as we were turning left and 6 months ago the mailman rear ended it while parked in front of the house. The water pump crapped out a month or so ago and hubby said no more wrenching and we now have a 2017 Cherokee Sport 2.4L AWD in the driveway. I haven't mustered the courage to empty the 94 GC yet so hubby can sell it. I will miss it, although I don't drive much anymore since I am disabled. I know there will come a time since we live in Colorado, that I will wish I still had my old GC to power through snow drifts and get me where I need to go.
