Bobby as always your playing is fabulous. I have a 2015 D-28 Marquis and to my ears the marquis is the best sounding version that Martin has made. I don't care for the tone of the Authentic's, to me they sound muted, I know people have not like that description and say the tone is warm. You have show cased SO many beautiful sounding guitars. There are three variations that I haven't had the pleasure to play and wonder if you have any experience with them 1) D-28 GE, 2) America's guitar 175th anniversary D-28, D-28 Marquis "Madagascar" If so, I would love to hear your input as to their tone. Thank you for your time Bobby.
@@davidharrick469 I’ve played quite a few but haven’t played the D-28 GE, 175th or Marquis Madagascar. Some of my favorites have been the CS models made from 2011-2014 like the CS35-11 and CS21-11 and CS-D28-12. All three of those models are on par with the best modern Martins I’ve ever played. The very first D-28 Authentic 1931 models were quite good but necks were too big for my hands. Good look in the hunt!
@@RockinB23 Bobby thank you for getting back to me. It's funny, today I spend some quality time with the CS-41-15, it was fantastic. The asking price I feel was to much. But I will watch to see if they become a bit more realistic in their asking price as time goes by. Thanks again Bobby.
Thank you for this. You show cased this Martin so well. Your skill knocks me out. God has gifted you
Thank you for the kind words!
Martin should hire someone away from Gibson to show them how to do a burst.
