Great sounding Instrument, wow. I just ordered a CS- OOOO-18 for my coming birthday and she will arrive on thursday.. I feel like a young boy right before christmas. Adirondak top and a 2 piece sinker mahagony back and sides with a long scale neck. Can't wait to receive this guitar...

After playing rhythm for years I want to start playing bits like this. Where do you start, is this just flatpicking basics or bluegrass etc?

A number of years ago I visited Olson's shop and played a few of his guitars. James had just sold a guitar to an 'investor' who dis not play guitar. Olson said 'Hey, you can actually PLAY guitar". We had a good laugh at that one.

Hey Bobby thanks for all your wonderful work documenting these guitars. So helpful when shopping for a guitar you would need a plane and a hotel to demo. Froggy loves Koa it seams. What’s your impression of their Koa use maybe compared to this Mahogany K? Or are we apples and Oranges? Have you played many of their Koa offerings? I don’t care about the looks it’s just that Koa seems more available than Mahogany.

I sold my 175th D-28 recently (shoulder pain) and traded it for more than I paid new, for a CEO-7. The D-28 truly is a magnificent instrument although mine was Sitka/EIR. Happily, so too is the CEO-7.

It’s tone is so nice because it’s a jumbo acoustic which gives a richer bassier tone and tbh I don’t know why standard acoustics exist.
