The fabric does, somehow wiggle it's way out of the hardware, possibly from the weight of the keys. Use a little e6000 inside the hardware end, where the fabric meets the hardware, before clamping it. I tend to add a tiny bit in the sides also, not too much so you don't have a mess. So far, this has worked well keeping the fabric inside the fob. Btw, I just love your personality and enthusiasm, love your videos 😍.
Thanks I made several of these. Longer ones too. Would you make a video on travel tissue holders with a fob tab. You explain everything so well for us beginners
When I make these I add a spot of glue inside the clasp as over time they like to wiggle out of the clasp. Works like a charm-speaking of which, I add tassels and charms sometimes too!!
I love the beginner tutorials! I really like the longer versions with the step by step instructions! You are a joy to watch and I’m so glad I found your channel!❤
I Thank God that I found you. You taught me how to sew a bag with the drying dish mat. Now I'm hooked and selling some. May God bless you for what you are doing to so many people. It's super fun watching you and looking forward for what you have next. Keep up the awesome work ❤
I love this hair color on you. And I love beginner tutorials as well but everything I have watched so far makes me feel like I can do it. I personally like to see you cutting your fabric. That is the one thing I am most hesitant is to cut so it helps me, lol
I would do a safety stitch sewing the two ends together, before putting the hardware on. So thet the peice doesn't pull the hardware apart . I had mine fall apart because of that, and put a little bit of 6000 glue on it before you put hardware on.
I also use E6000 so that the fabric, hopefully, doesn’t fall out. I have had good luck with this too. I always have to take the ring off because I can’t get it to work as well as you did. These are really fun to make. Thank you for all that you do for us.
I put a line of stitching 1/4 inch from the end before attaching hardware as I've had just 1 side slip out before(teeth on hardware were faulty I think) The line of stitching just gives a little more stay strength
I have enjoyed your videos. I have friends who do the key thingy like you made today but I'm sure they've purchased them, and no one has given them that they've hand made. I love your step by step sewing. My plan is to make a couple of tote bags with the dish drying mats.
Thanks so much. Ive made these in the past without the hardware. Now i undestand how easy-to-use the clamp is to use....yahoo. appreciate your channel and tutorials. Christmas gifts for coworkers!
I purchased key fob hardware 2 months ago..printed instructions, bought way too much fabric….so thank you for spying on my TBS (to be sewn) pile…I’m totally motivated 😊🎉🔑🪡
You're GRrrr8! I enjoy watching, learning & chuckling with you on your channel. When you said, " Man, I'm awesome, look what I made." I Have said that before, in excitement & accomplishment voice. Lol😂😅 thanks for the tutorial, gotta checkout those metal thingies
I made 12 of these with scraps that I was processing the day that you posted this videos… I was in a rut from making quilted Halloween bags for my grands… to to give my mind a rest I started organizing… when I got to a stand still waiting of things to arrive for said organizing… I was processing scraps. Coffee break, in come Chelsea with these and violaAaaaaaaaa! A dozen wristlet straps for Christmas, then back to processing. PSA: don’t let your scraps get out of hand… it’s a pain in the butt to process too much… just try to do them when each project is completed.
Awesome I made a ton of these a couple of months ago as well as scrunchie key fobs for the wrist. I don't sell but I had fun giving everyone I know some and I still have way too many 🤣 any suggestions where to donate ? 🙂
Do you know if there is a women's shelter in your area? The scrunchie key fobs sound like something that would go over really well there and probably brighten up the day of some folks who could surely use it.
I love how you make these things so quick and easy. You are inspiring! Can you do a tutorial on how to make a “pen pouch” or I have seen them called “pen pocket” that clips onto a lanyard? I’m ok making the lanyard but the pouch is not going so well. I’ve had some nursing students ask me if I can make them and I thought I could but my main problem is centering the loop to attach the lanyard and just getting it to look even. I’m a fairly new to sewing but I just know you will have a quick and much easier way than other videos I have watched. Thanks!
I just found your channel today. I love it. Thank you for the simple easy projects. I’m sure there are more advanced ones but I’m just getting back into sewing and I just love the little bags out of the dish drying towels and I love the key fob. Thanks again looking forward to seeing what you do for Christmas.
I made some of these and I found that you should sew the two ends together before putting them in the key fob otherwise the loose fabric that's not pinched by the key fob metal could slip out
I found this to be true as well. Once that was solved then the hardware decided it was going to separate and break, I found that I had to remove the rubber covers on the pliers and be careful not to clamp too close to the loop holding the ring. Whew! Lotsa tweeking but now success. They are super fun to make, thank you for the tutorial.
You must be a mind reader too! I bought the kit with the tool & the clamps, but had no clue what the heck I was supposed to do! Thank You, for a great tutorial!💜
Adding some elastic like a scrunchie would be nice 😊 as always 🙏🏻 thank you. Also, a notification came up on my home page re: thread tension, but I am unable to locate it. Oh, and BTW, you’re a natural teacher. Your daughter is fortunate she is learning to sew. Removing it from school curriculum was a dumb move. Ok soap box frustration stated.
You didn't make it out of a dish drying mat?! Who am I watching? 😂😅😂 Cool deal. Can you make one without the hardware? I have a lot of keyrings and don't want to purchase more.
Yes, you can!! While still flat, slide your keyring on. Then stitch close your strap into a loop. Stitch a seam across the loop about 1/2 from the key ring to keep it in one place. You might have to play around w a couple to see the best place to have the loop closing seam. But once you get it, its pretty easy. I saw a tutorial for it several months ago. But I dont remember who. Maybe Chelsea has/can do one!! 😃
What sewing machine do you have? I have a standard brother machine, but thinking of investing in a machine that has more stitches. I’m a little intimidated by the complexity of the computerized machine.
dumb question i'm very sure. Does it matter if your fusible is double sided or not ? for such a small project probably not. Just asking. Probably could use just a piece of Quilt Batting too, would be cheaper right ??

Really good tip. Thanks.
Thanks I made several of these. Longer ones too. Would you make a video on travel tissue holders with a fob tab. You explain everything so well for us beginners
I have used nylon webbing and covered it with fabric.
I’ve made so many of these. I also make a matching lanyard. Just as easy to sew.
I love giving gifts. Not because people praise me or whatever, just because it makes me feel good
When I make these I add a spot of glue inside the clasp as over time they like to wiggle out of the clasp. Works like a charm-speaking of which, I add tassels and charms sometimes too!!
I made these yesterday for stocking stuffers ! I was surprised to see you making them this morning- great minds think alike !
That’s so cool!
Great idea!!

Can you show how to make a prayer quilt with a pocket on the back? I love how happy you are teaching how to sew.

That’s awesome! Tote bags are so much fun to make!
I have made some from fabric, seat belts, cork, leather and vinyl. Although I use my Kam Snaps press and I add a bit of glue for extra durability.
Great Chelsea ❤
Great Christmas gift 🎁
I agree! They are so fun to make.
Thanks so much. Ive made these in the past without the hardware. Now i undestand how easy-to-use the clamp is to use....yahoo. appreciate your channel and tutorials. Christmas gifts for coworkers!

That is so cute!😊
I’m so glad I found your channel.always looking for a new video and when I do I know it’s going to be great.🌼🐝🌼🐝🌼
Thanks so much! I'm so glad you like it!
For newbies when you iron fabric together, it helps to keep them together. For smaller items, press them together and then sew them. No pins needed.

Still waiting for the video for how to make the bath sponges from the mesh bags you use the zippers out of from the Dollar Tree.🙏🙏🙏
Where is Amazon’s store on your page?
I want to make a crossbody bag with zip and fabric handle using No Hardware. Please make a tutorial It’s for my 8 yr old granddaughter
Cool
The link to the hardware for the fobs doesn't have the pliers with it.😢
Can I ask where you brought your very clearly marked ruler? My sight isn’t as good as it once was and that looks ideal
Holiday fabrics would be different
What does your shirt say, love what I can see?
❤❤❤❤
I cannot find the tool. Can you link to it?
