As a Christian who's been studying theology for many years now, this is overall a pretty good breakdown of this stuff, really didnt expect this going into it. Quick correction though, while the idea that Christmas, Easter, etc. traditions are originally pagan is pretty popular, especially around those holidays, it has no real basis in reality. There is no evidence that December 25th, Christmas trees, the Easter bunny, etc. come from paganism, in fact its quite the opposite. Almost all of those ideas came around long after Christianity was widespread and many of them were started by Christians in the first place.
I think people get the ideas of pagan influences and something straight up being pagan confused. For example the Christmas tree is similar to pagan traditions that use evergreen trees as decoration around that time of year, and it’s probable that the same kind of mindset which was inherited from old pagan traditions influenced the origins of Christmas trees. But that doesn’t change the fact that Christmas trees are a post Christianization tradition that was started by Christians for Christians purposes. I think that’s where people get confused.
Just as the angels presented themselves in different ways for specific receptions, and the Gospels were written to be understood by specific peoples (IE: Luke, written for gentiles) The Church too has expanded, preserved, and sanctified cultural elements in it's baptism of all nations. Also, Great book: "Bearing False Witness"

Biblically Accurate Angel: “Sup my G, be not afraid.”
Me: “AHHHHHHH WTF?!?”
Biblically Accurate Angel: “woah, dude chill.”
So cool seeing wendigoon deep diving into Christianity with the boys
Brandon does a great CAS impression
Just as the angels presented themselves in different ways for specific receptions, and the Gospels were written to be understood by specific peoples (IE: Luke, written for gentiles)
The Church too has expanded, preserved, and sanctified cultural elements in it's baptism of all nations.
Also,
Great book: "Bearing False Witness"
@@captainoofmerica2478 Do you have a source on that? The only primary sources I’ve found on Yule describe it as an animal sacrifice people swore oaths to, no mention of evergreens. (Venerable Bede and account of Haakon the good, 9-10th century)
@@mere7583 I never said that Yule used an evergreen, just that Evergreens have been used for winter traditions by pagan groups. If you want a good video on the subject watch Religion For Breakfast “The Very Recent Origine of the Christmas Tree.” He gives all of the proper citations and sources throughout the video. Also Google’s AI called Bard was useful to me in the research process, it can just outright answer your questions as long as you make sure the he specific, but more importantly if you ask it will give you sources and you can get it to give you primary sources and academic articles
Just subbed on Spotify. I love this show so much 😂
Donut was edging the entire time 😂😂
Wendigoon sitting in the middle at 1:00 is like Jesus at the last supper
i saw the ghost hunt brandon did he mentions shotguns with rock salt now hes doin Castiel impressions hes a SPN fan awesome
thanks for clips, i had anxieties, this kept me busy
Whenever Nick says "you're trying to upset me right now", all I can hear is Domhnall Gleeson's character in True Grit saying "you are trying to get at me"
Got to love the Red Thread reference at the end
This is a mash up i never saw coming. A ven diagram overlap no one expected. Pretty cool
Wendigoon looks like a PS2 classic and Brandon looks like the remaster of it😂
The “be not afraid” and the wheels and eyes always made me think of AI-possessed drones. Intelligent robots sent as messengers or observers.
What a crazy crossover. I watch gun channels as well as religious study videos so this is such a strange combination of the two i love it lol
Castiel impression was GREAT.
I love how the camera angle makes it seem like you're also sitting at the table
Why in the f did I not see this full episode?!!! Damn you UA-cam!!! Hey unsubscribe….personal request…let’s due more episodes like this! Y’all are obviously all beyond intrigued, as are all of us
That castiel impression was on point 😭

The crossover we never knew we needed.
Brandon & wendi on a thubnail is like giving me milk & cookies all December
Oh wow Brandon's Cass impression is perfect
Wendigoon literally posted an almost hour long video talking about CHEESE. AND IT WAS WORTH EVERY SECOND
How would the Accuser of all Mankind appear?
Fantastically charismatic.
His pride would encourage you to become proud, vanity would stir up your own, he would hate what you hate, and so on.
None of these things encourage you to love your neighbor as you love yourself. That's the point.
I never thought I’d ever see Wendigood and Brandon on the same video lol
Wendigoon is such a good representative of Christianity as a full time UA-camr. Knowledgeable, meticulous, well spoken but humble.
You can never have too much Wendigoon in a poscast
He recognizes the importance of sharing the gospel message with a broader audience and was able to be patient through it.
Brandon Herrera secret talent doing Castiel impressions
