Definitely didn't also adapt that monster to be a living disaster in three stages after an earthquake, a tsunami and a nuclear meltdown. Totally didn't launch one of the longest lasting media franchises in history off the back of a myriad of tragedies.
The "woke" movement and DEI could be good things if they were done properly. But both have been coopted for advertising to make a profit. When money is the main motivator, accountability and and integrity are the first to go. Also need gaming and comic book cultures are already some of the most inclusive communities there are in America. This is corporate interests trying to solve problems that don't exist and sell them to people who don't want them.
The 2 biggest problems with Marvel are that after Endgame they had no plan. All the films and shows since lack direction. Some of that is due to the loss of the leads, RDJ and Evans. Supposedly Boseman's Black Panther was going to take over as the lead but his death ruined that and they had no backup plan. This resulted in films being made with connections or follow-ups, see Eternals, Shang Chi and Moon Knight. The 2nd problem is they tried to please everyone and look no further than the Marvels She-Hulk. You have people who know nothing about the IP and don't care about the material making it. All for the purpose of trying to bring in more audiences but alienating the main audience.
I know this comment is going to get buried, but I'm doing it anyway. I live and work in the aviation sector. The reason doors are falling off of Boeing jets has nothing to do with "DEI" as you stated, it has everything to do with stock values and shareholders. I'm actually a little pissed off that you have bought into the narrative of "oh, it's because we were forced to hire black/trans/gay/whatever people" and not "Hey we had to keep hiring whatever people we can get for the lowest legal wage so that we can keep increasing the profits for the shareholders." When the profit margin is the single most important measure of a company, you will ALWAYS end up with the lowest quality product that company can produce and still make the working class pay for. And here we are.

This committee created the rough outlines of everything marvel until 2016 where disney desolved them. At that point they had planned everything that was going to happen up to endgame which was fully animated and just required actors to act their lines. However figie was left in charge alone and inserted his bullshit swapping out adam warlock for mrs marvel
Yeah I hate the woke stories about mutants fighting against discrimination, gay rights, etc. Terrible! Oh wait.....that was a long time ago, huh. Weird.
I dropped out of the Marvel movies arround the time of Ironman3 when the Chinese FlashGordanish super villian the Mandrin became a middle eastern Lifestreamer.
It was always going to have a downturn, they had the best heroes with some amazing casting of amazing actors AND they made an ending... anything after that was probably going to be less captivating but BOY they really milked anything they could with as little care as possible, then they blamed the lack of interest on the audience, smooth.
Deadpool and Wolverine didn't stop the rot. Sure it brought in the capital, but that monies is being used to fund other projects elsewhere which incorporate the message. MCU will continue the trend of overbudget and diluted/botched in 2025 and it doesn't matter if ppl boycott the franchise cos they will use that against the fans to do more of the lame.

The moment they killed Loki I was out.
That’s another thing…the industry keeps shitting out movies yearly
Olivia Munn 😍😍😍
Eli, that was you? Dude, that show sucked.
You know the show is bad when the show’s own head runner/ director/ writer/ producer can’t watch his own show even for the numbers
Donut and Nerdrotic instant sub👍🏻👌🏻
WTF taking the guns out of gun show, is a deep level of stupid.
I know this comment is going to get buried, but I'm doing it anyway.
I live and work in the aviation sector. The reason doors are falling off of Boeing jets has nothing to do with "DEI" as you stated, it has everything to do with stock values and shareholders. I'm actually a little pissed off that you have bought into the narrative of "oh, it's because we were forced to hire black/trans/gay/whatever people" and not "Hey we had to keep hiring whatever people we can get for the lowest legal wage so that we can keep increasing the profits for the shareholders."
When the profit margin is the single most important measure of a company, you will ALWAYS end up with the lowest quality product that company can produce and still make the working class pay for. And here we are.
Moral of the story: Corpos are useless. Look at Crimewave. It had some issues and they made it worse-possibly to the point of nearly killing Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell’s careers. They do this repeatedly but the Corpos NEVER suffer ramifications.
The only Captain Marvel I know is named Billy Batson
1:48 With Eli and Rocco, there’s always gonna be guns… sun’s out or no.
9:46 It didn’t have 21 producers on it to supervise her?
10:00 🍿😆😂
13:37 *2013 i played so many games gta 5 and assassin's creed 4 so many followed with manga, old comics before 2009, anime, movies and tv shows!*
how'd you get Will Riker in a short sleeved shirt?
Cannot wait for the first time someone on CNN has to say "Nerdrotic". Piers Morgan was amusing enough. Hail the 1-9-9
Brandon for President!!
Once more of these movies go bust and we see how the industry continues to switch, hopefully the cultural vandals will move on. Personally, I blame Twilight for this whole mess.
They're only commentating on Marvel movies downfall, not causing it
In the middle of what we know as phase one marvel created something called the marvel creative committee.
As a nerd I hate the woke nerd culture poisoning our beloved stories
Yeah I hate the woke stories about mutants fighting against discrimination, gay rights, etc. Terrible! Oh wait.....that was a long time ago, huh. Weird.
lol, a poor regular army unit that gets an old National Guard unit…they try. We ignore
2:00 I would have turned them down. I signed a contract for a show about guns, if you are trying to change that then you’ll be in breach of contract.
I dropped out of the Marvel movies arround the time of Ironman3 when the Chinese FlashGordanish super villian the Mandrin became a middle eastern Lifestreamer.
"I feel like the nerds went woke'.
tell me you've never read comics in your entire life lmfao
It was always going to have a downturn, they had the best heroes with some amazing casting of amazing actors AND they made an ending... anything after that was probably going to be less captivating but BOY they really milked anything they could with as little care as possible, then they blamed the lack of interest on the audience, smooth.
Once they started making comic book movies the demise was ensured. None of it was ever interesting or good and it's only gotten worse.
They aren't "producers." They're "minders"
Don't discount Morgan Web
I almost feel sorry for the director of ms marvel. They threw her under the bus hard
The Big Bang Theory ruined nerd culture by making it popular.
IT crowd also
3 years of no movies, start over with the X-men inside the new mcu
Deadpool and Wolverine didn't stop the rot. Sure it brought in the capital, but that monies is being used to fund other projects elsewhere which incorporate the message.
MCU will continue the trend of overbudget and diluted/botched in 2025 and it doesn't matter if ppl boycott the franchise cos they will use that against the fans to do more of the lame.
Marvel isn't as it used to be. Even the new spider-woman movie are not great, its just a dumpster fire of failure.
That's not Marvel, that's Sony.
@@stetsoncrobison ohhh ok
Compare anime like One pice anything 😂
Yay to over sharing !
I watch UA-cam, old movies, and reruns of shows that still hold up today, and so does my kid. The rest can continue to neuter themselves for all care.
Dude with the life shirt sounds identical to Ezra miller.
My problem with modern "Nerd culture" is the lack of basic hygiene. I play Magic the Gathering and I recently went into a local game shop to buy some card cases there was a Pokémon event next door and holy fuck the entire store side wreaked of BO. Seriously what is it with modern nerds not bathing.
Nerdrotic has apparently hurt a few feelings on Reddit with this one, and it’s hilarious.
4/7 of the phase 4 movies still had a central male protagonist. The quality went down for different reasons.
Y'all should have Eric July on.
Directing is not more difficult than so many things.
"I must go and see this movie because it's directed by a woman of color" said no one ever.
