  • The beauty of nature (mountain) is expressed in silver rings.
    Through the imagination of wearing a small nature (mountain) on the body (finger),
    I hope she can feel the natural sensibility.
    Applying antique and luxurious texture and color matching,
    I tried to put a picture of making it carefully.
    Thank you to everyone who watched and supported me.

    Good morning maestro,
    thank you very much for your inspiring videos. I have learned a lot from your videos. I tried to use your type of stonesetting for a gerbera flower pendant. I used sterlingsilver 1 mm thickness(18 g). Now i have the problem to push the edge to the stone. Ist is too hard. Should I use a thinner sheet silver or finesilver?
    Can I glue a blue calcedon stone? It ist a clear light blue stone. I am afraid that the glue get's with time visible. The glue get's a little yellow with time.
    I ordered camellia oil from Japan:). Can I use the oil also for shiny silver? Prevents it also silver from getting tarnished?
    I hope you and your family stay well in this time.
    Greetings from Germany

      What does a Rotary tool mean?
      Are you referring to a rotating power tool?
      if so,
      It is a flexible shaft (handpiece).
      It is a tool that is used in various ways by replacing small tools with a certain diameter.
      I bought this from an offline tool store in Korea.

    As usual a beautiful video for an amazing masterpiece. I find your videos inspiring and mesmerizing thanks for doing this!
    As a personal feedback I'd rather see the finished product only at the end, I believe that it would add a sort of wow effect to the videos. For the initial thumbnail I would use just a close up of the product where you can see some details but not the all thing. ;)

It is like when you watch a movie and you get more and more engaged to discover the end. ;) by the way, that was just my opinion based on my preference in fact every-time I watch a video of yours I skip the first few seconds where you show the photos and I jump in when you sort out the materials because I do not want to spoil the "gran finale". Excellent work! But I notice you store acid in steel container, which is probably why the solution is green, due to reaction with chromium in the steel. Sterling silver shouldn't react with dilute sulphuric acid but it will be tainted by the chromium. Best to keep acid in a glass vessel.

    • @SilverMeister
      @SilverMeister  Рік тому

      This is different from the iron containers you know.
      It's specially formulated for pickling, and I've been using it since 1991, no problems.
      Every tool I use has a reason for using it that way.
      You don't have to worry.

    • @OKB1133
      @OKB1133 Рік тому

      @@SilverMeister Was not a criticism. I commented because solution in stainless steel container is green, which is common when chromium in steel is oxidised by an acid. Dilute H2SO4 is colourless. And I know it's not iron. Stainless steel can handle acidic solutions at room temperature but hot acids can react with it, which I think is the case here. But besides that, all is OK if pickling silver etc is not affected.

    • @SilverMeister
      @SilverMeister  Рік тому

      The translator isn't always accurate. I don't understand English deeply.
      It's hard to know if it's a criticism or not, so you need to be careful with this kind of content.
      You don't need advice on how to work, and it's best not to say anything that could cause misunderstandings.
      It is clear that my working method is optimal for me at the moment.

    do you ever get firescale with your soldering technique?

    • @SilverMeister
      @SilverMeister  3 роки тому

      Firescale is not generated by soldering technology,
      Since the material is silver, it is created by simply applying heat without soldering.
      Firescale can be removed by repeating pickling and heat treatment.

      @billdlyaegra9394 Рік тому

      @@SilverMeister yes! i did see the small, labeled bowls of solder, and thanks for the answer. i do not know the percentages as we in the usa use solder marked hard, medium and soft. i use only the hard solder. the use of black or colored pastels in epoxy is a very nice tip, i have used colored marker pens to stir color into epoxy but then you lose the pen doing these so thanks again. your work is first class and i can only hope to achieve a degree of your skills.

    • @SilverMeister
      @SilverMeister  Рік тому

      The terms strong soldering, medium soldering, and weak soldering are ambiguous.
      I use alloy solder to make my own.
      It is the safest and surest choice to make and use the % I want (it is difficult to check the components of solder for ready-made products sold).
      When adding color to epoxy, it is better to mix powdered pigments rather than liquids.
      Liquids (marker pens, etc.) may degrade the performance of the epoxy.

      There are a lot of ways to set a gemstone.
      The East and the West are different, and the old and the present are different.
      Just because you don't know doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

    Where can I buy the thick sheet of silver like that?

    • @SilverMeister
      @SilverMeister  3 роки тому

      I do not buy silver plates.
      Melt the silver granules to make the plate yourself.

    Do you use camillia oil as sealant or any other thing if so how long does the oil last before tarnishing

    • @SilverMeister
      @SilverMeister  3 роки тому +1

      Camellia oil will have a limit to protecting the silver surface.
      It's much better than not doing it though,
      If you actually wear it on someone's hand, it will naturally turn into vintage.
      I hope it is getting old in a vintage way~

      Sealant... coating, plating, etc...
      I don't do that, and I don't want to recommend it.
      It is natural that silver is changing like silver, and that is the charm of silver.
      Sorry~

    좋은 영상 감사합니다.
    마지막 레진을 사용할 때에 검은색 파스텔을 갈아서 사용하신 이유를 알 수 있을까요

    • @SilverMeister
      @SilverMeister  3 роки тому

      비슷하긴 하지만 엄밀하게 말하면 다릅니다.
      제가 사용한 것은 레진이 아니고, 에폭시 입니다. ㅎㅎ
      검은 파스텔 가루를 섞어서 사용한 이유는,,,
      원석을 세팅 할때,
      검정색 오닉스 원석과 은난집(테두리)과의 미세한 틈이 생기기도 하는데,
      검정색 에폭시를 사용하면 이러한 틈새 조차도 보기에 티나지 않도록,
      깔끔하게 마무리 하기 위해서 입니다.
      그냥 해도 잘 보이지는 않지만,
      조금이라도 더 완벽하게 하고자 하는 노력이라 봐 주시면 좋을 듯 합니다^^

    What is the rotary tool that you use?

    • @SilverMeister
      @SilverMeister  3 роки тому +1

      This is a flexible shaft.
      It is also called a handpiece.
      When stepped on with a footrest (foot switch), it rotates and operates.
      I bought it at an offline tool store in Korea,
      It's about 200 dollars.

    Why the oil finish?

    • @SilverMeister
      @SilverMeister  3 роки тому

      After applying the oil, clean it again to finish.
      The reason for applying oil is to delay and protect the oxidation of the silver surface.
      The camellia oil that I use is safe to eat.
      It is a very good oil that is harmless to the human body even when the ring is worn on the hand.
