    Always a joy to watch your work surprise to have not seen a buffing wheel used as I'd have thought it would have polished the mother of pearl up.

    • @SilverMeister
      @SilverMeister  4 роки тому

      The reason I don't buffing,
      This is because the angle is difficult to trim.
      Working carefully without hurrying by hand is an important tip to improve quality.

    even though I'm not a fan of jewellery I have to admit that this is an absolutely stunning ring. The different colours, textures and the fact that you don't see a beautiful but flat ring, makes it a great piece.
    Anyone can and should appreciate the mastery behind it.

      The mother-of-pearl and opal I used are different.

    Beautiful work 🥰 I always wonder with your videos, how come you use a steel container for your pickling acid? I was always taught never to use steel or it will contaminate the silver

    • @SilverMeister
      @SilverMeister  3 роки тому +3

      If you contaminated the silver,
      Could you have made a good work like this?
      This is not a steel bart.
      If you have an understanding of the mountain, you can see that it is not a steel bowl just by looking at it.
      This is a special bart that is not corroded by acid.

    Your title card says 92.5 silver when I think you meant .925 silver ? One way is 7.5 other metal and the other is .075 other metal ? There is a huge difference..still you do amazing work .

    • @SilverMeister
      @SilverMeister  4 роки тому

      92.5% silver is alloyed with 7.5% other metals.
      When noting,
      1) 92.5%
      2) 925
      3) Sterling Silver
      All three are the same,
      This is the correct international display format.

    • @LaserGadgets
      @LaserGadgets 4 роки тому

      Never heard or read 0.925...that is even more confusing. 925 does indeed mean 92.5%, the other 7.5 are usually copper (mostly).
