    Rhonda, we also recycle oil buckets for food storage and have been for years. We just clean them good with a good degreaser then air them for several days before using them, and have never had any problems with any we have opened! Great video as always, just keep keeping on, and forget about the negative Nancy's!

    You look very nice and very young. I have one idea for the lids, they could be housed for target practice, the circles could be painted in between each circle, better than paper targets. Good luck

    Fun fact the rubber seals if u pop them out work amazing to wrap around stuff to hold it down like a tie down

    i use a vacuum to suck all the air out, it really pulls the bags right tight all around, i even use it to bag my chickens turkeys an so on

    Lungs, ... the original vacuum sealer, all natural, no batteries. No nonsense stuff here. Gotta love the resourcefulness.

    We do the same except we use the vacuum seal bags !!! It’s a good feeling to know you have some put back!! Love your videos!!

    Rhonda, I tried storing sunflower seeds for the bird feeders in 5 gallon plastic buckets (Lowes). Over the course of a winter, squirrels chewed large (squirrel-sized) holes where the seal was. We had fat, healthy squirrels that year!

    with everything in mylar your food is golden. amazon has openers. new buckets need mylar liner plastic also will let transmisson of o2. when i buy for long term i vacum seal then pack inside mylar lined bucket. wheat and other grains. i use gamma lids screw on and off

    Rhonda, I think your idea of storage is just fine for you and the family. I am a former food inspector for the Military, so I have some experience with food storage. You might not be able to sell any food stored in mylar and non food grade buckets, but for the family you are OK. I enjoy your UA-cam videos, keep up the good work. PS, your hair looks nice.     I like your bucket idea. Have you ever tried vacuum sealing your bags. That would remove all of the air. We do it with everything 9freeze and can keep items for 3-4 years without freezer burn.

    Letica of Fremont Ind. makes the buckets and lids. May get em cheaper going through them. Just a thought. :)

    I might use smaller bags, so to be able to use as needed ( not breaking the seal as often ).

    I find food grade buckets at Subway and at any place that sells restaurant food they throw away the buckets in good condition

    looking good there......we canned 38 pints and 7 quarts of frozen peas that were given to us from the neighbors,,they got them from a food giveaway and didn't want them..

    Ask Kevin to make an attachment from your vacuum cleaner to draw the air out. Make it as small as you need I'm sure he can do it. As always enjoy the videos. By the way hair looks nice nice Mackenzie.

    Rhonda, Your hair always looks beautiful. It’s always a learning experience watching your videos. I get a bunch of 5 gallon buckets from the Deere dealer I work at. I can’t stand seeing them thrown away. I try to salvage the lids also. I spray them with a degreaser and use a hot water pressure washer to clean them. If you can’t find a market for all your lids you could always advertise them as large frisbees Lol. Have a good weekend 🙂

    They have 5 gallon pail openers on Uline. It makes opening the lids a little easier. Great Video!

    Wow I loved the video. I ever see those bags for sale to the public before. I have two granddaughters go to school and even grandpa its his hair and nail done. [ No color hair or nails I draw the line there] but it helps them.

    see i would like to buy just buckets, but even tho they old bucket the oil won't embed in the bucket and they would be save, plus the bag you put food help protect the food
