Dude you need to take some of the smaller bass out of that pond so the bigger one can get the weight on them that they need if you notice the smaller fish that you catch was short in fat but the bigger ones was long in skinny them smaller bass are quicker to the food not leaving anything for the bigger bass it would probably help if you dumped a lot of blue Gill are some sort of bait fish in there too if you want to catch a 10 pounder out of that little pond your going to have do something besides just fishing it I think you’ll be very lucky to catch a true 5 pound fish out of that pond of any kind there’s just to many fish in there when you can go there with a frog in the middle of the day in get a bass to slam that frog that quick the fish are fighting over the food that makes its way in to the pond in that’s not good for any of the fish in there maybe talk to the owner see if they will let you relocate some of them and add some bait fish or at least add bait fish in it would make for a great video if you do add bait fish don’t put anything in there any bigger than the length of your middle finger you don’t want to add to the problem hope to see you manage that pond it looks like a sweet little place that one day could hold a record stay safe out there in GOD BLESS
I appreciate all the info and time you spent informing me of this! 95% of the fish i’ve caught out of there on and off camera have been extremely healthy and big. We’ve caught plenty 4-5 pounders in there before we started recording in there and that one dinky one, I believe was a post spawner based off the looks and time of year. There’s also plenty of baitfish, an extraordinary amount of bluegill no bigger than the palm of my hand. Conservation does pretty well keeping the pond stocked and healthy!
