THANK YOU FOR WATCHING AND BEING WONDERFUL!!!
I love how pragmatic your declutters are. Like, when Hannah says she’s decluttering… friends, she’s not kidding.
I need Hannah energy…. My entire closet on my bed. 😬
She barely decluttered anything
An overhead video? AND a declutter? With flawless lighting?! Be still my heart, this is the absolute most.
Why do I feel like Sadie is going to try to declutter Smidge into the giveaway box when no one is looking.
AHAHAHAHA
🤣🤣🤣
What a visual and a cute fun thought.
I really like the way you put the pros and cons in perspective about keeping a product or not. And that you also consider the emotional aspect. Your reasoning is really helpful. I started decluttering a while ago and have tried some things you did. Having less stuff is surprisingly inspiring - to use old favourites and just play around. Thank you 😊 💓
I love the phrasing of “comfortable abundance” ♥️
I like to use blush, bronzers, and highlighters as eye shadows because there is less pigmentation and they blend easier sometimes. Maybe that's a way to play with the Dior palette more :)
I just appreciate the intellectualism and critical thinking. I just put away all of my eyeshadow palettes and other products for what I think will be my Dec 2-product challenge. 😎
Me watching the video: "I would love to get my collection down to about 5 blushes and 5 highlighters. I should work on that."
Me seeing the swatch of the JD Glow highlight at the very end: "I need to immediately go buy that."
Thank you, as always, for your thoughtfulness! You truly act as a foil for the 'consideration' we usually see in the beauty space.
I love when you say "create a cheek"! I feel like it says a lot about how you see makeup! Hugs from Montreal ✨
I absolutely adore your videos! I'm currently on a "binge watch Hannah" week. 😍🥰 Would you make a video on your favorite sparkly, delicious eyeshadow toppers?? I have been doing the type of shadow looks you do, where you put the shade from Natasha Denona's Gold Palette all over, and I LOVE it. Makes me feel like a sparkly unicorn in the most classy and elegant way possible.
this is a good idea!!! thanks!
@@HannahLouisePoston Omg I'm so excited!! I love Aly's idea and I am pumped that you're going to make this video!!
This reminds me of a coworker of mine. One day she was sitting across from me, we’re chit chatting as I was admiring her eyelashes. Well she turns her head to the side and the light caught her eyelids and they had the most beautiful feminine sparkle but head on it looked like she had no eyeshadow on. I couldn’t stop looking every time she turned her head. I regret not asking her what she had on her eyes. It was definitely a clear based shadow like an eye topper or something.
Hannah! I hit pan on my first ever product today. The sparkly light pink shade in Roen's 11:11. I was so excited!
🎉
I came RUNNING when I saw this🏃🏽♀️💨💨 I live for a good blush swatch and declutter
The Mac Glow Play blushes are my all-time favorite blush formula, but I think most people don't use them in a way that highlights their beauty and ease of use. Everyone says they're a cream but to me they're a cream-powder hybrid. That's relevant because everyone uses their fingers to apply the product, and I personally find that they are the fastest, most airbrushed blush when applied with a brush. That might take away the joy of the application for you since you like using your fingers, but with a brush - they're magic. And the shade Blush Please is a gorgeous dusty pinky beige that may be more your type.
thanks for the info! I actually much prefer a brush for any blush, so that's good :) I will definitely give it a chance!
@@HannahLouisePoston oh good! That doesn’t fix the color situation, but I do love how it applies with a brush.
I definitely understand 😂🖤
Everytime I watch these I think "yes, I should declutter all my make-up" but then I remember I barely own any make-up hahahaha
You can also use items for more than one use. You can use blush for lips, eyeshadow. I use some of my MG eyeshadows for blush and bronzer and highlighter. Just because a product is made for one thing does not mean you can’t use it for other things. You can get much more mileage out of products I have found. Thank you Hannah! Have a great evening!
I agree! Thanks, Tamara!
I have started doing that and it really simplifies my time getting ready. Including when I travel for a long weekend to see my family, less products to pack.
I have started doing that and it really simplifies my time getting ready. Including when I travel for a long weekend to see my family, less products to pack.
I tried doing a yellow blush the other day, but it was sooooo difficult to pull off because of my own yellow-ish colouring 🙃 I’m excited to see what blushes you keep because I just recently started actively wearing blush and it really does a lot for the face and now I wonder how I ever went without.
I love using yellow blush as a blush topper over whatever blush I'm using but especially orangey blushes, maybe give that a try?
I love the yellow blush look, and i'm a warmtone yelloish girl but i think the key is tone for yellow blush, mustard, ocre more Orange blush works amazing for me
What did you use for a yellow blush? I have a NYX one that has a lil bit of a shimmery finish. But Rituel De Fille makes one that I want too. Their formulas are really good.
Hi Hannah, personally I find the MAC Glow Play blush is like a cream to powder formula and it plays really well with brushes for an even application. Your Rephyr brush should work pretty well with it :)
Hi Hannah!! I really appreciate how you weigh the pros and cons of keeping each item in your collection. It prompts me to be more thoughtful about the items in my own life and in my home - not just makeup but other items and spaces as well! Last weekend I went through and cleaned up my hallway closet using the same kind of approach and reasoning that you take in your videos and it's like a weight was lifted from me. You're the absolute best and my favourite person on the internet. Love you so much!!
I love my winky luxe rose blush! I use it every other time I do make up, but it's kept its flower form pretty well, even tho I use a dense kabuki brush to apply
So happy you love Dune so much! Means so much to us 🥰❤️
Your declutters are my fav hannah!! thank youuuu :)) my anxious brain feels more calm just from watching
The Kjaer Weis pan will likely not be recycled due to its small size. If you had a bunch of pans of the same material you could kind of mash them all together in a ball to ensure they are big enough to be captured in a recycling plant. But yeah, stuff we think in good faith would be recycled, often is not 😪 could you make use of if for frankenmakeup, repanning something into? I would repress something in there and use that fancy KW compact 💃
I really appreciate how hard it must feel to part with something when it's been given as a gift, when your love language is gift giving. I always feel this way and almost feel shame to part with something given to me in love, and gift giving is not even my strongest love language.
The guttural scream that was released from my body when you said the Kaja blush smelled like herbal essences.
Sensory memory unlocked 😂
I really couldnt make the elf bali blush work as a blush either but since i spent money on it im using it as a lip product and it actually looks really nice
I love all the click clacky sounds from when you take everything out/organize groups lol its so satisfying
I got an elf lip & cheek palette from Amazon. Love that thing! I also love watching your declutter videos - makes me want to be more thoughtful & discerning about my collection! 💜
This is the first video of yours I've seen. And right off the bat I noticed some things I really love. 1. You have a very nice voice to listen to. 2. I thoroughly enjoy seeing the obvious use of the products in your collection. 3. Your thought process behind keeping and getting rid of things is very sound in my opinion. Thanks for great content. I'll definitely be watching more of your stuff.
always so happy to see a declutter video! i love the methodology you go about your decluttering. it really shows whether you will use a product or not 💖
Thank you Hannah! Decluttering videos are my favorite and I am so inspired by you to keep my collection curated :)
Omg look at that box!! Makes me want to swatch alll my cream products. Also. Im curious if you got the new shades from auric eye cream and shadows
I think that they are coming in PR! I will definitely do a review!
@@HannahLouisePoston I can not wait!!!! The suspense!!
@@HannahLouisePoston I want to see a swatch of the white topper. It kind of looks like a gold or olive iridescent color, so if you get these I would love to see the swatches.
Beautiful collection you have there! Really enjoyed hearing you talk about your blushes and highlighters!! ❤️
Everything looks so well-loved and used! It's so refreshing as opposed to people decluttering barely used products
I so look forward to your videos! Makes my work day a lot better!
Thursday evening, glass of wine and an overhead declutter with Hannah! Seeing your products feels like being with old friends. I was busting up over the Herbal Essence scent comment. It is interesting that a scent can be problematic, for me it is Elizabeth Arden Red Door fragrance. Always love your methodical approach.Hugs from Salem Oregon!
Your voice is so relaxing. I just love listening to your videos while I relax in the dark. I need to declutter my blushes too…yikes.
I love E.L.F Bali! Somehow that formula works well with my skin and blends seamlessly.
I bought both Lilah B cheek colors from your recommendation and I have to say that they are hands down the best cream blush formula I have ever tried. So thank you very much!
Your declutter videos are so relaxing but also inspiring. Thanks! ❤️
what a truly enjoyable and calm video, thank you. ive had a really stressful morning and this was just what i needed to keep going with my day
I can’t wait to watch this during my skin care tonight!
Can the Salt New York creme pans fit in the Kjaer Weis packaging? That would be cool!
I was wondering that too!
Unfortunately, they can't 😭
I saw a Instagram video showing they are just barely too large to fit 😭
@@emilymoses6022 oh dang it! that stinks!
Have you ever use the Kevyn Aucoin Neo Highlighter in Sahara as an eyeshadow? I'm curious what it would look like as a natural eye look.
i loved this video, i was really interested by your description of the rituel de fille blush- i would love to see a video of blushes that give that taupey/ ‘cold skin’ look. i’m extremely fair skinned and as much as i want to love + use blush for the full cheek look they always just make me look flushed / sweaty. i would love to see more suggestions / try ons for those kinds of shades! 🤍
I love listening to you. Every word picked out so thoughtfully. I learn so so much from your videos
Declutters are soo satisfying 🥰
As always, I adore your videos. I look forward to your content each week. You bring up an interesting point about gifts from friends and family. Sometimes it is difficult to separate the wonderful gesture from the physical product and I end up keeping items that I don't want for various reasons.
i love that your products look well used
I like the idea of items sneaking into the box, a la the brave little toaster or toy story. They just snuck in! 😂
I just love these overhead videos!
I have this issue with most so called neutral blushes, bronzer and highlighters coming off for too orange against my skin tone, so I heavily related to this video!
I bought the Winky Lux rose-shaped blush based on your review and I use it almost exclusively because of that velvety wash that you mentioned. But I am destroying it little by little and I totally get why some folks get tripped up by the novelty of it. I just had to accept that eventually it'd just be a dome of blush rather than a rose of blush. My style also changed and I wear a lot more vintage-inspired and historical clothing and the colors of the Winky Lux blushes are PERFECT for more historical make-up.
Decisions girl! I'd love to see a video of you using the things you were on the fence about. Like the danessa myricks dew balm and the JDglow highlighter.
love your aesthetics, your voice and teh decisions you made. :)
Yes! Hannah! I love a good reckoning.
as a fellow pale (neutral) gal, my favorite way to use that dior 4 pan highlighter is by mixing a bunch of the shades together (not the browner one, as it is always too dark as a highlight- but! makes a very pretty shiny blush). i just kind of swirl my brush throughout and it avoids creating a highlight that has any sort of strong undertone one way or another
I've been watching you since the beginning of time and I didn't even realize you had a JD Glow highlighter. Love your declutter videos!!
Who created that amazing thumbnail!!! I love it!!!
it was me, but it was a real struggle for some reason and I still feel like it's a bit chaotic. I just left it because it sort of represents the messy and chaotic nature of a blush declutter :) I'm glad you like it!!
I just bought the Melt blush palette from the Monarch collection because it reminded me very much of the Pat McGrath blushes that I have avoided because of the outrageous price. Very excited! Would love to see some blush brush recommendations 😊
I love a good declutter video!!!
You have some Beautiful blushes/highlights/bronzer. As I'm getting older I'm getting to where I love cream and liquid blushes more than powder as well. They look so much fresher and more youthful on the skin! Love your videos as always! Hugs!❤
The ELF putty blushed stamped on with a beauty blender, instead of smeared in, is divine. The only way I will apply it now. And the colors are gorg.
Your videos are so relaxing, I actually found you through Sam’s channel and I’m so glad I did! But my heart broke a little when you decluttered the Nudestix highlight 😭 they’re some of my favorite creams! the glossy look is my favorite, but not for everyone 😊
"When I am creating a cheek" is the most beautiful way to express it. I should look at my application the same way. And approach the choice of products with a similar reverence. Bronzer and contour I dont do (I don't own bronzer or contour products at all). I'm unsure how to make them look good. So I have 3 blushes and ordered a highlighter that's on its way to me this week. And I have been making my cheek looks by making various combinations of my 3 blush shades.
And that's been good for now.
Anyway, long way of saying thank you for your beautiful content always. I have been binging your videos today and yesterday while I tidy the house and do laundry.
Warmest wishes from Germany
I have a couple Honest Beuaty cream blushes and there is something about the formula that keeps me from using it often. I actually prefer the Milani ones and the Milani stick cream blush is a divine formula IMO. It gives the cheeks a natural shine from the texture but doesn't feel sticky. I have been so into finding good drug store makeup recently since I had been buying primarily only Indie & Highend for a while. And Drugstore is blowing my mind in a lot of ways.
I have used that ELF highlighter and agree that it's impressively glossy!
A friend of mine sent me the winky lux rose blush kind of as a joke/novelty to just sit on my shelf and look pretty…but I honestly love the color and formula!! It’s a total wild card but it’s a great blush!
Yay I love a declutter!
I wonder if the Salt New York pans will fit into the Kjaer Weis compact 🧐
I use all of my cheek makeups interchangeably, for the most part. I rarely wear more than one at a time.
I'm a little surprised that you didn't like the ELF putty blush! I recently got the putty blush in the shade "Turks and Caicos" (more coral) and the bronzer in "Honey Drip" and I've used them every day since. I do see what you mean about the clinginess, although I don't get that impression with the one I have. I wonder if it's just more pronounced with a darker shade?
Either way, I appreciate your honest and direct approach to reviewing makeup and got some good insight from this video on other items I'd considered purchasing. You come off as trustworthy and thoughtful and I like the way you are still respectful about the makeup you are decluttering. Thank you!
You read my mind. You’ve been inspiring me so much latelt
I feel great that you really did a real declutter! So many declutters are not really declutters. I just got rid of makeup that was at least 3 years or older. I had to just be brutal.
I really enjoyed the style of this video 🥰
Dear Hannah, thank you for your amazing content. I love the ideas you come up with and your whole perspective on makeup. I would love to see a "starter kit"- video, especially on what eyeshadows are good to get for the amazing looks you create. Maybe you can consider, if the products are mostly avaiable in other countries, because you have friends and fans all over the world. ;) And if you already did such a video maybe somebody can help me where to find it. Thank you so much!
I honestly think you would like the Universal Dior face quad more, I own that one, Glitz, and Rose Gold and I have been using the crap out of Universal. It's much cooler, the only shade that is gold is the champagne-y highlight in the top right and the other highlight is icy white, the blush has a very icy pink sheen and the bronzer is more cool than it is warm. I use the bronzer as a blush with the pink on top and it's s t u n n i n g. sometimes I just rub my brush over both the bronzer and blush and apply or the bronzer and gold highlight and apply, or even the gold and white highlight to make it a more icy neutral champagne highlight and apply. I'm obsessed and the Universal one doesn't have any of the really glittery formula like Glitz and Rose Gold has, they're incredibly smooth and apply beautifully on the skin.
You are a true inspiration for someone like me, with too large collection
😍 so much blush
I recently got into makeup and I own two blushes. One more is on its way to me and I'm planning to buy a fourth one. I hope I'll manage to curate my collection as much as I'm hoping to. But maybe it's just one of those things one happens to just accumulate over time.
😂😂😂 to the elf blush no no no! Girl I think you got a bad one cus honestly it’s soooo good the formula is so easy and effortless and works for me and with me never against me! Try out another shade and see what you think
The same happened for me. I decluttered them. I had several colors. They can't all be bad.
I love the clicking noises when you rearrange things 😅
I received most of my blush and bronzer from subscription boxes. I cancelled them so I'll have the opportunity to use them up. I purchase most of my highlighters since I tend to use them faster than blush or bronzer. I'm very pale so I don't need much blush or bronzer to make a difference. However, I just love the glow of a highlighter so I put a lot on. Still, more than three or four highlighter is a lot. I currently have three blushes palettes and two individual bronzers. I have highlighter in one of the blush palettes plus two highlighter palettes and a single highlighter. I have a full face palette that I'm otherwise breezing through that has a blush that I haven't even touched yet. I think that having more than three blushes is overwhelming myself.
my favourite new youtube channel :)
Hannah decluttering blushes *gasp* may the best blush win 👀👀👀👀
Just me holding my breath while you decide about my favorites? 😂
FWIW the Mac glow play formula is a fave of mine for when I know I’ll be wearing a mask. But if the color isn’t right, I totally get it.
Looking at your older videos I’m seeing crazy declutters from you. is wild 🤣
its so unfortunate elf's bali didnt work out :( i recently got maldives and i cant get enough of it! mine isnt patchy, maybe you just got a bad egg
oooooh I hope that's the case! I love some of the colors. I'm glad it's working for you!
You would love em cosmetics so soft blushes and bronzers the shade terra would be perfect for you
I have always put on the Danessa Myricks dew balm before any base products. I haven't attempted to put it over foundation or concealer, so I can imagine it could be tricky to blend in seamlessly 😕
I haven’t even watched it and gave it a thumbs up ( are my inner “beauty self”, so I know you are going to do it all-overthink and speak out loud all of my thoughts-and I am here for it). 😜☺️😘
P.S. “overthink” things I guess is more compared to just accepting it all. That wasn’t the right word (*Narrator*
overthinkers of the world unite!!! :)
As another aside: I’m considering doing: “One month: two products in each category only”. The reason I’m considering this is that I was watching Amanda Z’s channel and was inspired by a Chanel cream shadow. I’m so glad I didn’t spend my money on much at Sephora for makeup during the sale (I didn’t spend that much altogether)-it was $34 or $36 and I am so excited for it to arrive. Yes-for one eyeshadow-it’s the most I’ve ever spent on one shadow, but it’s my jam 100%. Was also thinking about my two high end lipsticks at age 20-so that’s what got me thinking that this might be a good idea…to see if I can refine my makeup techniques in one month). I repurchased my “ride or dies” as didn’t wear ANY makeup for one year. So, I think imma give it a go.
The Clinique makes a great eyeshadow!
I tore the sponge tip off of my CT magic light wand and contour! too icky! you've convinced me to give the KA Sahara highlighter thingy a try. someone gave it to me and I was like what is this, too dark for a highlight, too light for a bronzer/contour... thanks for the junk. but maybe it will be useful as a blush on my neck! =D
I know you are decluttering the Melt Blush, however, it looks like it could be a gorgeous all-over eyeshadow! Anyway, when you give away that blush, remind the receiver that even though it’s a blush doesn’t mean you have to limit it to your cheeks!
I was just rewatching some of your old videos. :) I hope you're doing well Hannah!
thank you, Etienne!
and I'm over here with my two blushes lol (colourpop brut flute and milk werk)
The ELF putty blushes apply WAY better with a stipple brush. I have Bali and LOVE it. If you have one and haven't tried a stipple brush, I recommend.
you could use that JD glow in Marilyn on your eyes maybe.. its sooo beautiful :-)
I know you don't usually do backups, but I have that elf lip and cheek palette and I just decluttered it almost brand new, and since it's discontinued and you said it's one of your all time favorites, I'd be happy to send it to you if you'd like! It's just not my favorite personally, and I have other cream cheek products I love more, so it'll be going to a new home weather that new home is you or someone else, just let me know!
Viciousness in the Kitchen! 😂😂😂
literally GASPED when I saw this video in my subscription box
