Millennial here 🙋🏻♀ As someone who absolutely detests this shift to short-form content (I can't do the 15-30s videos), these long videos (borderline documentaries ❤) are a DREAM. I love putting on a UA-cam video as I get ready for my day (skincare, makeup, hair) because it's like getting ready with a friend. THANK YOU for all of the work that goes into these, you are amazing. Side note -- I am old enough to remember when Hard Candy was a nail polish brand that came with the cute rubber rings on top, and Alicia Silverstone made it super famous after sharing it was her nail polish of choice in the shade Sky, right after Clueless came out! She was THE "it" girl and they used to sell Hard Candy at Nordstrom 😂
Oh my goodness! Right around that time, my best friend had an aunt who worked at a Nordstrom and she always treated us to those! As well as Escada perfume minis. Is Escada still around? I wonder..so going to go reach out to said friend, its been a minute. Thanks for all the memories! Did you have one of those pens with the feathers on top like in Clueless too ?lol ❤️✌️
Omg me too ! I was a OG hard candy girl. I ordered a palette off some home shopping thing my mum was watching lol. Too Faced had stuff too a single eyshdow . So I used to wear that makeup to see bands play and to go clubbing. And I love long form UA-cam too!!
I needed to watch this cuz I’m the look for a new blush. I noticed the wear on my go-to blush right now by Hourglass, thinking that replacing it is not on my budget and it’s so good. This video answered the replacement choice as well as answering the questions about the blush I’m most curious about, the two powder Milani blushes. I’m going to have to watch it again with my notebook and pen in hand for 2-3 in curious about, but worth the time I spent watching it. Totally checking your playlist. Thank you for sacrificing your face for us! ♥️
Yes, and you do it all, so we don't have to. Now if we all could only look exactly like you with our makeup on. LOL. Please we all love you so much. It is a pleasure just watching and listening to you because you are so likeable.
Just here to say how much I appreciate how much work went into this video, both from Nikki and Mitch. I really applaud the effort it took to making this video for us, thank you.
Totally agree ❤❤ with the rising prices I’m not buying as much makeup, but I still want to get myself new blush every now and then. So it’s nice to see a comprehensive review from somebody trustworthy.
Their Tea Rose blushes - embossed in a rose - are also great if you want a matte look, but still with a soft, satiny formula. I am an absolute blush hogger. Love the stuff, so I have a bag full of all kinds of blushes. I recently decluttered, as I went pretty much full on liquid/ cream for blushes and only wanted to keep great powder ones. Apart from one Catrice, one Korres, one Essence, one Etude House, one L'Oréal and one Physician's Formula powder blush I kept ALL my Milani baked blushes and the rose ones. The rest is all cream, putty & liquid (20 or so, many brand new so obviously they're staying). That's still plenty powder, but I'm sure that when I hit pan I'll *for sure* rebuy the Milani ones. The rest are maybes and no's. I don't have all shades of the Milani baked, as my Casper skin can only handle a few shades. But I definitely got all those 😉. (PS. Can't wait to try their cream blushes eventually! Their matte silky bronzers are also great. Their baked bronzers are also pretty and very pigmented, but their shade range sadly doesn't match my skin. I've had the lightest for a while - big pan! - but almost never reach for it because of its yellowish shade. I'll probably gift it to someone with a warmer skintone. If you're not cool toned, and not super fair, definitely try it. )
I can really appreciate the Spanish subtitles. As someone who knows a lot of Spanish words but doesn't feel comfortable forming sentences its nice to hear the words and see them converted on screen. Its a makeup lesson and language lesson bringing us all closer together.
Yes! So true. L'Oreal was the priciest, however, their eyeshadows were garbage in the late 90s. We only had Revlon(still semi garbage brand so far) , CoverGirl (never had a fair enough shade that wasn't too pink or orange), and the Maybelline, which had great eyeshadow singles, but that's it. I think we had WetnWild but I don't remember too much. I think most of my makeup came from dollar store LA Colors, and that was complete garbage back then, and kinda still is. I had a tomboy mother who hated makeup, so I wasn't allowed to wear it till almost 15, but only because her friend bought some for me. My grandpa would also gift the Maybelline eyeshadows to me sometimes, when I'd help him with grocery shopping. He was such a kind-hearted, thoughtful grandpa. He gifted me a Caboodles kit once too.💙
I was hoping you’d try the Joah Air Light Blush (sold at CVS) because it’s honestly the best powdered blush I think I’ve ever experienced. It’s super finely-milled and doesn’t accentuate fine lines or pores. There’s no shimmer or sparkle and you can apply it lighter or layer it for a more intense punch of color. More people need to know about it!
As a teen in the mid to late 80’s, I had to suffer the low quality of (most)drugstore makeup. Those tiny blush brushes are giving me flashbacks 😟 So lucky to have options to mix and match higher end and drugstore makeup now ❤
Same, but I was a 90s teen. Didn't even know what a highlighter was until about 5 years ago. And they never sold brushes back in the day. 5 years ago, someone gifted me a batch of makeup which included a Kylie highlighter, but I thought it was defective, so I threw it away! 😂🤦🏻♀️ I didn't know how to use it, thinking it was the same as blush, so when I couldn't see anything since it was a nude shade, I honestly thought it was fake or children's makeup. I actually thought Kylie cosmetics was a fake brand back a few years ago as well. After I joined Ipsy subscription, I learned a LOT. I finally got a chance to try the high end mascaras, and it made such a difference. Apparently, I didn't even know how to apply mascara, cuz Maybelline and L'Oreal actually have some of the best. UA-cam has taught me sooo much. 🖤
I remember when I first came to USA back in 2008 and went to CVS for the first time seeing cover girl, wet and wild and all other drugstore brands we didn’t have in Europe. I felt like a kid at the candy store. This video is such a walk down the memory lane ❤️
I REALLY REALLY loved that one too. I've already ordered it and one other Milani blush. I'm an ELF & Milani girl. (oh yeah, and Tom Ford & Charlotte Tilbury whose products I rarely ever buy anymore (except on Mercari or ebay)
@@habiba6039 It’s more of a mauve! Coolish undertones. Gorgeous and you can build it or keep it sheer! I too am very pale and everything looks orange on me 😮💨 but Maui does not! 🌸
The Essence blushes are among my faves high end drug store all of them. They are so gorgeous. Idk how they do such amazing products for so cheap. Their cream bronzer, blush and powders are just amazing.

I'm almost 40, with mild rosacea spots on either side of my nose. Avoided blush like the plague until around 2 years ago! Allie Glines' content actually got me to move out of my comfort zone, and THIS has just been the most perfect, AMAZING resource 🤩🤩🤩 thank you so much for the time/effort/dedication because WOW
Nikki, I continue to just adore these "I bought every ___ at the drugstore" videos. They are just the best! Based on your video, I purchased a Milani baked blush in Luminoso, and OH MY GOSH! It is beautiful! I'm so so happy with it. Sending you so much love and gratitude.
🌟WOW!🌟 What a ton of work this was for you! Thank you , thank you, thank you Nikki!!!! I can't comprehend the time this took. Thank you to your left cheek as well, lol! Thank you to Mitch for any work that you may have done behind the scenes with editing. I don't know how all that works between who does what with you guys, but you're an amazing team! Thank you for these massive hauls... they are SO extremely helpful the way you rapid fire through so many products in such a meticulous and uniform way... almost scientific with so many variables remaining constant, so we are seeing the product and hearing your thoughts! I always recommend these videos to friends when makeup categories come up...
its ok a decade later im still very very VERY very poor i struggle more now than I ever did BUT makeup just makes me so happy and I love blushes so thank you for this video, ELF products are great
Blush is my fav make up type/subject rn bcuz having rosacea & dry skin my whole life, I thought it was my enemy! Drugstore is all I can afford, so now that I have a cosmo license, I LOVE listening to this video while doing chores & cleaning up. I don't even have to watch, I can listen & get so much info from it, THANK YOU!!!!
Love the long comparison videos! Wish you talked about the shade ranges of the blushes like how you do with complexion products because a lot of drug store brands neglect those of us out there with deeper skin tones (cough Physicians Formula cough)
LOVED this long form, super thorough, concise review of these drugstore products. I am a drugstore makeup girlie and this saves me so much time figuring out which products I would like to add to my makeup bag. I loved how organized this video was with the timestamps so it’s easy to go back and find products. Well done!
Thank you, Nikki! The work you must put into one of these “try every fill-in-the-blank product “ videos. It’s a lot. But I appreciate every one and I refer back to them when I go to buy makeup online. They’re uber helpful. 😊
I love this episode so much! Learned what to pay attention to when choosing a good blush, patchiness/blendablity, buildability. And some features depending on individual’s preferences, dry/oily skin, usage (daily or on stage), color. Wish to learn these key points on choosing eyeshadow, particularly affordable ones. Thank you very much for this workshop ❤❤❤
I first fell in love with makeup in the early 90’s, when Nikki Taylor was the face of Cover Girl - definitely trip down memory lane when thinking of cheekers! I also remember when Hard Candy was sold in department stores and they sold matching rings with their nail polishes. Great video!
I watched through the whole video, all I can say is Thank you Nikki 100 times. I don't have $ to waste on blush and this was a timely, fantastic video!! Thank you for looking out for your viewers! You have the most beautiful skin, you are so blessed!! And you are a stunning lady as well, thank you❤
Thank you for always doing these drugstore comparison videos! U quickly became my fave beauty UA-camr!! And thank you for being so humble and so honest! ❤
I am constantly impressed with your dedication to reviewing products. I always watch these to the end and usually save them to a file to re-watch in part or in full again before I start filling my shopping carts, and I always learn so much from your reviews. Thank you!
I'm dying with the CoverGirl blush. I am 41 and when I turned 13 my Mom gave me $20 to buy makeup and I bought that blush. It looks almost the same, just a tiny bit updated. I still remember the color, Soft Sable, which they still make! And yes I totally used the terrible brush because I didn't have anything else. My blush game was not good at all 😂
SO HELPFUL NIKKI!!! Thank you. For a 50+ senior who loves a blush, seeing your demo of a quality, lesser expensive brand is so helpful. Heading to the store now!
My favourite Blushes are Milani baked blushes, my favourite 2 Dolce Pink and Luminoso. I need to try the Milani cream Blush too and I want to try the Elf liquid Blush
I’ve had the liquid ELF blushes go patchy on me! The Covergirl true blend and Milani rose powder blushes are my holy grails! TYSM for your content-these comparison videos 🤌🏼
I sure did watch from the beginning til the end. Even with a little nap in the middle of the video, and for me, it's still worth it. Thank you, Nikki. You are awesome ❤
Goodness so much info! Seeing your clean brushes at 38 minutes, I went to clean all mine! I came back and finished the video! Thanks for all your hard work! You're absolutely the best!!
Thank you for doing a drugstore blush video. You taught me what blush qualities are important and you made me feel good that I own some of your favorites, I.e, Elf liquid, putty, & infused powder, Milani and Essence powder blushes. I also have the Loreal 24 hour Fresh Wear blush and agree it’s very pigmented and tricky to apply. I brush my hand first to take some of it off the brush before applying to cheeks. The only quality of the blushes that you didn’t emphasize was longevity. I have a makeup dilemma when it comes to that aspect. When I first apply most blushes, they look pretty pigmented, but not too long after, they seem to fade. On the other hand, sometimes as a day or evening progresses, my natural cheek flush makes me look like I’m wearing too much blush if I put t blush on to start with
Unlikely you will see a comment this far back, but physicians formula has some great stuff. Their pearl highlighter is amazing, all their highlighters are. They have some beautiful powders. I love their mosaic bronzers and blushes.
Omg you didn't get the Milani liquid blush!!!!! I promise you that u will love it!! Such a gorgeous, buildable, dewy finish!!! It's SO YOU! It's a beautiful thin but not overwhelmingly pigmented formula!
Prayers for you face, thank you for taking this bullet for all of us 🙏 I can't wait!! P.S. your foundation one helped me so much and I LOVE the Armani❤
For drugstore, those of you in Canada the QUO blushes in the horrid tins are VERY nice. I Loathe the packaging, its nigh impossible to get into BUT the formula is so smooth, not patchy, there is glow but no big sparkle particles. I prefer these to the baked Essence blushes. I am side-eyeing the price point a bit tho. Love today's video.
I keep thinking if “patchy” was a drinking game we’d all be in trouble! 😂 Loving these amazing reviews - the drugstore has many gorgeous blush options and thank you so much for reminding us. We appreciate you, Nikki and I hope your cheek is getting some extra TLC! ❤
Yes! It stays in rotation with my luxury blushes. Such a beautiful formula and refined sheen. I wish Nikki would have redone the application. The people need to know how beautiful it is! 😂
Nikki, I personally thank you for taking the time out of your hectic schedule to put together this very USEFUL and honest review! I usually struggle to find great blushes altogether, but after watching your video from start to finish, I am ready to purchase one or two or maybe even three drugstore blushes! Thank you SO much for helping me select great makeup without breaking the bank! Sending you love!
Nikki, YOU KILLED IT!!!! What a thorough video. It is so helpful, particularly for drugstore makeup since you can’t really try testers usually. You are such a pro! Thank you.
I love searching for a specific video and finding EXACTLY what I was looking for (bonus for being recent too!) and a longer form video on drugstore blushes thank you for this ✨💕🥹 I typically hate blush on me, but I want to give it another chance and get one that won’t hit my wallet hard if it doesn’t work out and this is incredibly helpful!
Thank you SO much for doing this video!! I found it so helpful and interesting. I plan on purchasing a few of your recommendations and seeing if they work for me. Love your channel!! ❤🎉
When you say you don't wear peachy blushes often. You should. It looks stunning on you! Also I appreciate these lengthy in depth video's. I have put a few on my wishlist now lol.
I love these videos. They're all-in-one. The only thing is a brush can make or break a formula of blush.. cause some of those even those cheap ones I can make work. They worked just fine like no problems at all.Except they fade quickly.. Like, but i've got some high end.Even luxury brands that wear off within an hour or two.... But I don't use the same brush for every brand of blush.
I particularly appreciate how real you are. I watch a few different make up based content creators and some are great for techniques but the products they use are the highest of high end. Im fortunate enough that I can afford a few high end products but on the whole I do have to look for less expensive options. I really like that your content helps guide me of how best to invest my money to get the best.
When I want to put blush on practically in my sleep, and also not end up looking like a clown, my go to is the Loreal Truematch Super Blendable blush in the same color you showcased...Tender Rose.💗
Hi Nikki. Your long videos are not a trial to watch you are so entertaining. Loved this one, I’ve definitely got a few drugstore blushes I need to try, especially the ones that are good dupes for higher end products like Charlotte Tilbury & Hourglass (my absolute fav). Thanks for all your hard work your face went thru ❤
I had stopped wearing blush for sooo long because I really didn't like the overdone red cheeks looks I saw on so many OLDER people my age. But after watching you work on Angie, and a few others, I decided to give it a try again and I found that working it upper and outer cheek area has really helped. I still prefer very sheer, natural, lighter applications (LOVE the ELF Multi Stick in a few colors and use it on my eyes, lips and cheeks) but this video was so helpful as well as being super fun and FUNNY!!! YOU ARE SUCH A GREAT PRESENTER AND INFLUENCER because you are so real and authentically hilarious! I just adore you.
I don’t think I’ve ever watched and enjoy such a long makeup video! But your description was so thorough and honest that I had to watch the whole thing!
I love wet and wild blushes. That pink one plays different than the other colors. Try the “naked brown” color. Use a very light hand. I love it for bronzing blush my face. Sun kissed.
I loved this video, so informative and as an older woman on a very very tight budget I was so happy to find your video. It's nice to get the perspective of a professional, and one that has tried some of the best products out there to do a drugstore video. I will definitely try the Milani and the ELF ones! Thanks for making this awesome video!!
Lipstick Queen in Frog Prince! Medieval Red is still one of my absolute favorite subtle red lip balms. This video answers so many blush questions that I had, and I cannot wait to go shopping!!! I have a question for anyone here, how do you keep the ELF Tilberry liquid blush dupe from being patchy? I bought one of these, and I love the color, but it lifted up all of my make up and was completely patchy.
I have oily skin and work outdoors all day and I love that pixi on the go. At the end of the day I still have more than you would expect left and it looks fabulous. I use all 3 shades ❤
@@Makeupbynikkilarose I bought the Dusty Rose one from elf and I ended up getting the Milani “Tea Rose” . I’d been hemming and Hawing about getting them, watching your video helped me make an informed decision, thank you Chica

Sooooooo excited I love this series ❤❤❤ hope the next be Sephora concealers!😍
Playing blush Bingo with Nikki, seeing how many I actually own from this list (and if we have the same thoughts on the product)
Hahha I love that!!!
And...? I'm dying to know.
Good morning 😍 everyone!
Good morning penn!!!!!!!
Old school, going back a decade 😂 Old school to me is the 60s and 70s. 🌷 Epic blush review.
And you are a stunning lady as well, thank you❤
I’m living for Nikki saying REVOLVE instead of RELOVE 😂
I thought it was just me who noticed 🤣
Poor thing said she needs glasses! lol. LOVE HER!
Is it not Revolution make-up? I saw the container said “Relove” but 💭 that was name of brand from RM💁🏼♀️
@@MercedezSpeaker like the time she was trying to read the Colourpop Naruto palette! That was hilarious 😂
Revolve sounds better 🖤
Thank you for always doing these drugstore comparison videos! U quickly became my fave beauty UA-camr!! And thank you for being so humble and so honest! ❤
You have to be the hardest working woman on UA-cam! Thank you for sharing all your time and knowledge with us❤️
I am constantly impressed with your dedication to reviewing products. I always watch these to the end and usually save them to a file to re-watch in part or in full again before I start filling my shopping carts, and I always learn so much from your reviews. Thank you!
me too
Thank you for this video. Your poor cheeks. Between the 59 foundations and now blushes, your face is resilient
My blush game was not good at all 😂
Love this! I was looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the viral NYX buttermelt blushes and Jason Wu blush palettes from Target
They go patchy on me too though I love both colors that I have
I sure did watch from the beginning til the end.
@@moniquesmith5501 Same!
It's a beautiful thin but not overwhelmingly pigmented formula!
yes
We wore that color girl blush for EVERY dance recital growing up! You brought back all the millennial mems 🫶🏻
Hi Nikki, would Catrice, Moira, and ColorPop be considered drugstore level products? 😊
That profusion blush is sooo good i love that blush isnt patchy for me i have several colors .
What do you use to clean your brushes in between applications because the brush looks brand new every time ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank You for reminding me of my love for the Almay blush- the formula reminded me so much of the Clinique Cheek Pop blush!
That Almay blush is so high-end in my opinion. Also, love that nude shade.
The amount of times I've come back to this video as a reference before buying things!!! Nikki, you're the best!!
😆😆😆😆😆
Hi Nikki. What lip gloss were you wearing for this video? Sooooo pretty!
Nikki, thank you so much for this! I love your drugstore reviews especially. 💕
We LOVE when you mention the best shades! Even if I know I want to try a blush, if I don’t know a shade that is a hit, I’ll avoid getting it.
I love the essence baked blush.
It was beautiful!!
Which ones were your favourites, Nikki? I really benefit from your final thoughts after trying so many. Thank you for doing these longer videos!
Almay Nearly nude has not left my makeup stash since I found it years ago. My favorite nude powder blush and has never let me down. Highly recommend!!
So high-end feeling and looking!
The covergirl true blend blush are pigmented and really good
Nikki, YOU KILLED IT!!!! What a thorough video. It is so helpful, particularly for drugstore makeup since you can’t really try testers usually. You are such a pro! Thank you.
So helpful! Educational! Wrote down a handful of blushes to buy and try. Can’t wait!!! Thank you for the long video and your hard work!! ❤❤❤❤
Milani cheek kiss in coral crush is 👏👏. It’s the only drugstore blush I use!
It is incredible!
How were you able to keep taking the blush off without irritating your skin? And clean the brushes?
Thank you SO much for doing this video!! I found it so helpful and interesting. I plan on purchasing a few of your recommendations and seeing if they work for me. Love your channel!! ❤🎉
Thank you, recently found your channel and love it. Would you consider doing a drugstore cleaners and moisturizers?
When you say you don't wear peachy blushes often. You should. It looks stunning on you! Also I appreciate these lengthy in depth video's. I have put a few on my wishlist now lol.
I love these videos. They're all-in-one. The only thing is a brush can make or break a formula of blush.. cause some of those even those cheap ones I can make work. They worked just fine like no problems at all.Except they fade quickly.. Like, but i've got some high end.Even luxury brands that wear off within an hour or two.... But I don't use the same brush for every brand of blush.
So excited for this video! Thank you for your time and effort!
The scent of the Covergirl compact face powder is a scent I'll never ever forget! I never used that blush, though 💗
Really love this series. ❤️💄Thank you
You are so welcome!
I’d watch a new video of all cream and liquid blushes, even if they’re all products you’ve already reviewed!
When I want to put blush on practically in my sleep, and also not end up looking like a clown, my go to is the Loreal Truematch Super Blendable blush in the same color you showcased...Tender Rose.💗
I LOVE THIS SERIES
What lipstick are you wearing. LOVE it!!!
Thank you so much Nikki! I learned a lot!!
This is the best video for blush recommendations. Thank you
FANTASTIC review, Nikki!! 🤩🥰
Sun kissed.
Elf -all

My mom uses the cheekers blush. She applies it with the included brush. I know better than to get her a real brush. She doesn’t change her ways.
Lmao sounds like my mom too
I was so happy to see the Hard Candy liquid blush. I LOVE this blush and it stays on me all day. It definitely doesn’t get enough love!
Thank you Nikki❤
I loved this video, so informative and as an older woman on a very very tight budget I was so happy to find your video. It's nice to get the perspective of a professional, and one that has tried some of the best products out there to do a drugstore video. I will definitely try the Milani and the ELF ones! Thanks for making this awesome video!!
This is a great video Nikki, however my only critique, please zoom in more and let us see what’s going on too! 💞
Yaay thank you for this video!! 💓
I have oily skin and work outdoors all day and I love that pixi on the go. At the end of the day I still have more than you would expect left and it looks fabulous. I use all 3 shades ❤
I looooove when she does the hauls.
PS. Not me buying two of the blushes while watching this video 🤭
I’d love to know which ones you bought! Thank you for watching !!
@@Makeupbynikkilarose I bought the Dusty Rose one from elf and I ended up getting the Milani “Tea Rose” . I’d been hemming and Hawing about getting them, watching your video helped me make an informed decision, thank you Chica
