I think it's hilarious you find it hilarious that people have opinions on an actors performance like it should somehow be tied to whether the actor themselves liked their role.

People talk shit about this movie and that's fine but the Actors took a shithouse movie/script and acted the hell out of it. Tim.....welp....he did his job and he did it very well and for that my boy should be proud.
Yeah, Olyphant, the actors, the entire crew did admirably with what they got. There was a lot of Studio vs Director interference that screwed a bunch of things up (apart from the poor script). There are tons of awesome stuff in this movie (the atmosphere, game references, etc.) that make up for the cheesy dialogue.

It wasn't a groundbreaking plot or movie by all means, but it wasn't bad. The fact Timothy Olyphant didn't even like the games yet still performed this role so well speaks volumes where there wasn't supposed to be.
We got a way to cuff people that are genuinely thought to be too agile with their hands. You take one arm, put it under the crotch, and the other hand in his back joining the crutch. For him to actually reach anything becomes extremely painful and you can easily manipulate them into even more submission. you can then even further use a zip tie to attack the handcuffs to his belt preventing him even from reaching his ankles.

Olyphant is such a great actor, and i wish this film was closer to the games, sure, but even though he doesn’t have Bateson’s voice, he looks, and moves JUST LIKE 47. I would love a sequel to this. Most of what they changed doesn’t even bother me. The idea of training kids instead of clones was annoying when i really got into the games and rewatching the film, but by and large this film still holds up. I don’t even hate the remake, but it pails in comparison. Get rid of the mention of cloning and seeing Agent 48 at the end, the remake is shit. A mixture of the two would make the perfect film. I almost want them to try again, but have the fans choose everything. Like i would have Bateson as an aged 47, someone like Gemma Arterton as Diana, and hire the guys from 87Eleven to do the action. Make it more of a spy film rather than an action film. Like an espionage thriller with some action sequences and BAM we have a movie. The lack of action would even help Bateson who is 61 at the time of me writing this on 3/21/21. Or hell get someone like Derek Mears who’s mainly a stuntman to do it he’s normal looking, but has a terrifying screen presence that’s intimidating af

That many 57mm S-5K rockets would have blown the top clean off that building. Not to mention probably self fragged the helicopter. Good thing the ATGM rails on the outside pylons of the wings were empty. They might have had them act as flamethrowers. 😉
