This is one of those movies that feels so unrealistic but you get lost in just the spectacle and fun. Then you learn that it’s actually pretty accurate to the actual event and your like what the hell
I agree but they did get some of this from real sources. Let's not forget there was that Englishman who legit spent the most of the second world war armed with nothing but a sword And a longbow in some situations. Lol
It killed me because he almost looked sad when his arrow broke, like a little kid that dropped his lollipop. Then you can see his face brighten up like that same little kid got a sundae after he dropped his lollipop.
Think its funny. Reason we have so many types of "special forces" is because Churchill liked the idea of commandos. Something that the nazis prolly crapped their pants when they heard about them. Guys that operated under the OSE/OSS tag, if they ever had one.
A bit daunting to think we British really had men like this in WWII, like Mad Jack Churchill who did use a longbow and wore a claymore sword in battle, how do we live up to that generation now??? Just a comment, not a social opinion as it is just a film.
Denim jeans and cotton t-shirts would be easy to find, and it's a simple enough outfit to be timeless. Lassen's too big for more traditional style of uniforms too.
This scene was hilarious because it almost had me feeling sorry for Nazis. There were like 20 odd sailors in that corridor and I still felt bad for them because they were trapped in there with a fucking heart-snatching Viking that hunts soldiers for sport.
Can't see a thing. Is the actual movie this dark, or is it just something done to evade copyright issues? Whatever it is, it's unwatchable - too dark to see anything at all.
Last time I checked sadly not. With how expensive theaters are right now and how quick studios are trying to churn out stuff. It only lasted like a two week run in theaters early may
yeah they actually kill them - henry cavil has spoke out against it in the past but its the industry standard - gotta feel bad for the guys who got stabbed a couple dozen times, bad way to go
@gudhaxer41343 Jessie Owens was the only athlete not competing for Germany that wore addias sneakers,After the Olympics he straight up said he was treated better in Nazi Germany than he ever was in America, and still to this day the only shrine to his achievements as an American Olympian is in the area of Berlin that served as the athletes' village.
Soooooo... Please share your wisdom with us. We're all so excited to hear how you would have cast this movie. I mean why would you cast a movie with multiple Actors that people love to see? My guess is if you wanna say something that people wanna really hear Tell them you have cancer
waaa waaa waaa. don’t like the movie because the casting isn’t realistic? damn that’s tough go watch a movie with actors you consider “believable” for its set time period.
The fight scenes are similarly paced, though truth be told, Tarantino just lifted the fight scene pacing in his films from Takeshi Kitano. (aka "Beat" Takeshi) Check out the film Fireworks, it's a master class on cinematic violence, woven with almost zen like scenes of tranquility and stillness.

The account I read of the actual incident is the allies stole a boat. That's about where the similarities ended. Which would make sense.
Lt. Aldo Raine would get along well with these fellows
Lost in common Bullshite fake ness 😂😂😂
Would love to see a cross over, or just a simple scene in a film where they walk past each other and acknowledge each others prowess.
I wanna see that crossover so bad!
The music builds so well throughout this sequence.
I love how cavill is strolling casually wearing a nazi officers uniform just mowing down Nazis like it’s a stroll through the park
When he found the axe, I felt that.
It killed me because he almost looked sad when his arrow broke, like a little kid that dropped his lollipop. Then you can see his face brighten up like that same little kid got a sundae after he dropped his lollipop.
I really enjoyed him re-using the arrow several times. :)
On one go he rips it out of the guy's chest like; "Give me that! That's mine!"
@@vigunfighterthere's a cold practicality to Lassen's style that borders on comical
Cue the Wolfenstein music.

Alen Ritchson would be absolutely amazing as Dr Savage
Maybe... but Alan Ritchson may be even better
@@adukes24 my apologies 😂🤦♂️
Absolutely agree! Doc Savage needs to come to the big screen and he would be the perfect actor!
This is when you play on Easy.
Reacher and Superman! Best team-up ever!
And Beast and Hardin Scott ❤
We finally get to see *Reacher's* grandpa in action....

I don't give a shit if it's "realistic."
It's fun. Have fun.
"I hope that's not your blood, Lassen"
Lassen " I hope so too"
Like a handsome Jason Voorhees...
Alan Ritchson would be a great BJ Blaskowitz in a Wolfenstein movie adaptation
Ax? No, no. Just go get the rest of that arrow & kill me with it instead please
Literally doesn't feel like it's set in 40s, Alan Ritchon's attires are just too modern for this specific era
Denim jeans and cotton t-shirts would be easy to find, and it's a simple enough outfit to be timeless. Lassen's too big for more traditional style of uniforms too.
Hate to break it to you but the 40s were basically 20 years past modern era. Plastic straws were already around.
T-shirts were actually popularized during the war because it was standard issue in the navy.
Alan ritchson gives me mega green arrow vibes in this scene
This movie was badass!
In my books, this is the movie of Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines
Surely a man on such a mission would choose a crossbow rather than a long bow
He's not a man, he's a beast lol
Except that in the book no one died on either side.
This scene was hilarious because it almost had me feeling sorry for Nazis. There were like 20 odd sailors in that corridor and I still felt bad for them because they were trapped in there with a fucking heart-snatching Viking that hunts soldiers for sport.

I saw it. Was great!
Yeah in the US only
They should have done a Wolfenstein movie for fucks sake.
Fun movie. Like that it was based on real events (With a big does of liberties along the way.)
What are the Ranks of those Sailors?
Probably the smallest error, but kriegsmarine Uniforms where blue not white..
Do they actually kill these Nazi sailors and soldiers in real life? If not, are they actors as well.
yeah they actually kill them - henry cavil has spoke out against it in the past but its the industry standard - gotta feel bad for the guys who got stabbed a couple dozen times, bad way to go

Jon Bernthal (Punisher) would beat them up. If he wasn't on their side...

Idc if it’s at night, if I can’t see what happening the movie sucks.

Yeah! Pretty much. After 2-3 minutes of these it felt kind of boring.
Like WATCHING someone play a video game, yeah
Wait wait wait, so someone thought black people were accepted by nazists

If you look up legendary track runner Jessie Owens you'll find that the answer to that question is yes.

I hate Hollywood casting makes no sense… if you want to make a movie that was based around a certain time period make the cast somewhat believable.

Feel free to go make a movie and hire a cast that’s somewhat believable then instead of sitting on your backside at home then.

how is it not believable? What exactly about the characters is out of place for the time period?
You talk as if you were there. I always get a kick out of braid dead people wanting movies to be “real”.
Just another movie with nazis as villains to show multiple ways to kill people without a bad feeling. It's annoying
