I prefer the zoo idea. At least you can use the water for the water assets. But saying that a golf course covering the island would seem more real. I went to the US not long ago and I stopped on a golf resort you could even use more then one island. You could even have some big hotels then.

The left hand lane for traffic heading away from the highway is onlt for u-turning onto your bypass on to the highway or outbound traffic, wheras both lanes should be for straight on - anyone wanting the highway will already have joined directly from the roundabout being bypassed.
I'm following your instructions on how to change the roads from "forward+right/left" to just "right/left". However I hold my shift key and select the road without anything happening, I just get the normal meny where you manually select which direction each lane heads in.

I suspect the game glitched and was not counting all your red roads due to heaviness, so the indicator was reading 100% Flow but it was actually, like, 82% or something, and when you changed two roads to dedicated turning lanes, Flow shot up to 86% ... but updated the counter. I'm curious for you to try switching those two lanes at that T-junction back to mixed use, and see if flow goes back up to 100 or if it says in the 80s. Or just reload a previous save and see if it's still 100% --no glitch, just mixed lanes + low volume = full road speed I always look forward to your Fixing Traffic videos, they are some of my favourite content on UA-cam right now. :-) .

Hi biffa, I wonder if you use the "Dynamic Lane Selection" (if i remember correctly) setting in the TMPE settings. I found that if I turn it to max lane utilisation, traffic is better. I'm not sure if everyone use it, cause the built-in ai are just not that smart
