- Engitopia returns in Cities Skylines (City Skyline) as I build the perfect sky city in Cities Skylines after fixing the atlantis project (sort of). Can this city that is cut off by land and sea thrive?

You can actually click the dam center and turn it off like a building, and it stops allowing water through. No pumps needed!
i was about to say that
I feel this was a dam missed opportunity
@@meegstomtom Haha!

We eventually need an episode where you actually fix the problems and bring happiness to engitopian citizens
Problems?
I Don't really see any problems in engitopia it's perfect 👌
Thats what an architect would say
hmm yes architect detect
You an Architect
The airport is a pretty good representation of what goes on in Matt's brain ngl
Well It IS Brain-shaped after all
@@ndres6955 IO
to the depts with Engiatlantis, to the heights with Engiskypea. From the trash of the architects Poocano to the marveouls Pokeball District. Matt is really going into all directions he can with the power of engineering. Makes me think if there's a mod for City Skylines that allows you to go into *spaaaaaaace*
Yeah, it's called Surviving Mars.
"Because I'm not an architect, I am going to fix this a bit."
The smallest things just make me spit my drink out from laughing!
its stuff like that why i love this channel
If you build a heliport up there, and if you have one down there, you can run a helicopter bus up to the city in the clouds.
Imagine living in that first city and seeing all these marvels of engineering pop up close by lol
Oh lol I commented with the other channel it would seem. Anyways, I'm back. My binge watch is finished. So good.
I believe you mistyped because no ones alive in the first city anymore
Can imagine them tracking centuries like 23 BP (Before Poocano) or 69 AP (After Poocano)
I love this! This type of city is the reason I bought Cities: Skylines. I'm addicted to building ridiculous cities on different plateaus that link together via cable cars or inside dormant volcanoes and I love watching when you make stuff like that. The wedge city, for instance, was really satisfying to watch. I can't wait to see you get really MC Escher with your urban planning!
This is mind bending, truly the work of an engineer
Quite surprised at 13:30 RCE created a new poop pond (soon to be poop river), but didn't change the flooded railway into a bridge across it. A rare missed bridge opportunity!
I think the some of the roads end up glitching through the bottom of the map because the curves/super ultra sharp turns usually mess with the terrain height...Or it's just a bug with one of the anarchy mods or something, you never know
The game is just an overall bug, they need to make a second game to polish it all out
this is part of it. i believe it is also the fact the terrain height is also already at its lower limit and the road is lowered beneath the terrain height. if he used move it to align all the nodes to terrain height it should fix the void.
Mate every time I watch your video I broaden my horizons of what's possible in games! You are the best!
I did something similar, but you could only get to industrial sections of a city by rail or subway. This worked well for quite a while. However what can happen is various city services (police, ambulance, etc, but mostly garbage) may spawn even if they can't actually get to a building. It's like the game tries to find the quickest service to send, but if the quickest service is an infinite distance away it will start to send them to the nearest waypoint then despawn the vehicle.
So after a few death waves of hearses causing city wide traffic jams the city service dispatch ai gets caught into a loop of continually sending vehicles to destinations they can never get to. The only way I was able to permanently fix the problem in my city was just to connect the industrial areas by highway. I figured learning how to manage the truck traffic was going to be more fun than managing the derpy city dispatch ai.
This city in the sky is very ARCHITECT LIKE!
I remember long long ago when I was always caught off guard by things turning into knobs in RCE videos, now no matter what he's creating or whats going on i'm always searchin for em = ). And I notice them in my daily life as well RCE has changed my life.
furry?
You could make the new part of Engitopia a pedestrian area with the new Plazas & Promenades DLC
Isn't the arch in 14:15 designed by a Finnish architect named Eero Saarinen? I think the arch is based on the Gateway Arch in Missouri
Watching all the planes land and the sounds added made me absolutely crease up, I couldnt stop laughing, then the doughnutmobile made me laugh even harder 🤣
That is awesome 😮
You should build the another sky city (may be 2 more) near by first and connect them with a bridge!
His career is always changing between highway engineer and drainage engineer
wish could build proper tunnels n stuff underground. love to see him build an entire city in a giant cave basically.
it's amazing how that shape fit perfectly there. Almost as though his brain is fixed to leave space like that
Sewage needs to come out the tip of the airport for maximum efficiency
sewage is stored in the concourses
I'm curious if you can put a cable car going up to that new area.
Obviously the construction workers used the same thing you do to get buildings built: mods!
Next episode should be fixing all the problems in Engitopia
14:25 “You can come on the tram, You can come over here, You can come on the monument” RCE 2022
I am shocked you didn't build 2 mountains and connected them with a giant bridge!
When I thought RCE has already in his "peak" in terms of entering ability in cities skylines , Matt decides to make a city literally "on clouds" !
I love games like this. I wonder how his infraspace city is doing
tru i want more city skylines
that is actually one of the best things matt has done, its genuinely a good and pretty city
I'd like too see rce make a working city with out problems. Using engineering
Click play on the video above 😉
@@RealCivilEngineerGaming I was thinking. Like. Country wide.
@@RealCivilEngineerGaming good job tho. You've impressed me
engitopia is absolutley stunning. saudi arabia needs to recreate engitopia instead of the line
Since you where a highway engineer we would probably be able to locate your approximate location based on observations of strongest shape roads…
You need to make the floating city a district and add like all the rich people things to the district! Like solar panels, no tax, biking, free transit and much more!
I would actually love to see you make a huge city from scratch with out most of the mods. Would you make a small series with that? 😁
The more of your videos I watch the more I become convinced that if I look hard enough, I'll find something irl you've made phallic shaped
It would be awesome to see wingsuits flying off the side of that monument. Not sure if there would be any way to implement it though
I really wish Matt did this with the new DLC that adds carless areas
i loved it. This episode is a feat of engendering in itself.
Architects exist.
Matt: Pathetic.
Also, Matt: Mixes Architecture with Engineering to create above cloud city.
WHAT? No bridge review? Love the episode. Keep it up Matt. Hope you're having a great day.
I’d forgotten how much I missed Engitopia….
Sees the airplanes are having trouble and reduces the area they have to land.
Logic.
Sadly there's no way to terraform in Tropico 6, otherwise I would suggest trying that since they have those gondola things as a transportation option. Not as efficient as planes, but probably cheaper to ride. Plus you could always have a slightly lower city for the workers that is actually IN the clouds for maximum inconvenience.
Theres probably mods out there that can get that fixed easly
I love how Matt laments that the highest level houses have little pointless bits of Architecture on them right after building a bridge for no reason at all.
God, I laughed my ass off when you used Snake's death scream when you deleted the pillar.
We love Engitopia and all the additions you make! Please post more of these videos!
I knew what was coming as soon as I saw the vaguely round shape and sound effect at 3:30.
My favorite addition to Engitopia yet. Great work!!
Engitopia is the 8th wonder of the world
It would be cool to build a poo damn similar to the poocano, with purifiers to clean, but instead of damns going down, it’s one at the top that turns into a waterfall and flows into the main river.
Bridge review: greatest vista ever while crossing!
Should have put the orbital elevator up there, for the ultimate cloud transport.
an engineer should acknowledge what the real strongest shape is (the triangle or circle, or variations[eg. 3d versions]), and the fact that there are multiple.
I love the efficient use of space!
RCE: "I thought that would actually go very nicely in Engitopia...a segragated city"
Me: "I'm sorry, WHAT?!?"
Finally some engitopia. Just what i needed
always glad to see you back here
HOLY 9:30 i havent heard that song in such a kong time. It brings back so many memories.
For Eng-Atlantis use some canal walls and build a pond and drain building for a fresh water supply.
Need more parks on CloudCity.
12:00
I might be two months late, but +1 for the Metal Gear Solid sound effect. Respect!
this is defiantly high up on my favorite video's
Pirate: So where are you going now
Luffy: To the sky.
Honest question just because I'm curious: How much of Engitopia is RCE the UA-camr vs. Matt the Gamer?
Like, if you were playing purely for your own enjoyment, offline without an audience to entertain, would you do anything differently? Focus more on the functionality/practicality of your city? Micromanage utilities for optimum efficiency? Spam even more of the map with de-monetisingly obscene strong shapes while giggling maniacally to yourself in the dark? Or are we seeing exactly what you'd do anyway, just with some editing and commentary?
Either way I'm here for it, love your work!
This feels like the ideal area for a Plazas and Promenades pedestrian zone. You can do zone shenanigans to keep the trash disposal down among the plebs with the service buildings and keep filthy cars away from the roads. Pedestrian tram roads have just been released, so you can even keep them!
this is a cool series. thanks for the vids
the planes comming in fore a landing was so funny 🤣😂
I love how he started with a triangle, the second strongest shape... and manages to get distracted with a bridge and somehow ends up making the triangle into the strongest shape... xD
Day 47 of asking RCE to make a new minecraft world.
Day 47 saying please no. Minecraft is crap.
48th now
@@dovatail488 is it? I can't even count anymore lol
he should do a colab with professional minecrafter
Minecraft is good
Amazing Content RCE!!! Keep it going
Welcome back to engitopia... with the timberborners rythm in my head 🤣🤣
i waited all day for your vid, made my day
To be fair, airports typically have multiple runways running in different directions. This allows pilots to land going against the wind instead of having a cross wind. With only one runway if there is a cross wind, the pilot will have to fly in a diagonal so the wind pushes them along direction of the runway.
So it wasn’t the pilots fault, it was the architect type layout of the airport. (*gasps like a soap opera.) But you aren’t an engineer for airlines so you can have a pass. I’m not an engineer for an airline either, but I recently watched a long video on the reason runways are numbered the way they are. Great video as always!!
Glad to be featured in the video of today, keep up the good work engineer.
That's cool how you made the Cloud City
you should add some blimps to this city, I believe they're another transport like the trams, (just in the sky ofcourse)
Love the cities skylines videos
15:55
Maybe it is there to spend shadow.
This sky city looks glorious ✨✨✨
13:56 most normal ryanair landing
Nice work Matt !
MATT, I can't believe you destroyed such a marvel of engineering as a HOLE IN THE FABRIC OF REALITY ITSELF, just so its display of masterful engineering wouldn't scare away ARCHITECTS
SHAME
SUGGESTION:
ANATOMICALLY-CORRECT STRONGEST-SHAPE CITY
Build a city where each of the parts of the city is located in, and is functionally similar to, an anatomically-correct diagram of a strongest shape. Bonus points if you can do the entire thing without refering to anything by its biological function, whilst still giving a functional description of the internals of a strongest shape.
so... basically building the floating city from the giver, just colored and not wierd. i like it
with move it you can click on a node or select nodes then hit ctrl H and click on another node that you want to set the height of the original node to. might save you from deleting roads in the future :D
I think this city should be sent to Biffa to see how he "fixes" this super work of engineering
I LOVE the strong shapes
this could be in any sci fi movie
That was fun to watch
Plus 100 for the MGS death sound effect, Noice.12:00
You should use blimps to get people up, and also make it a pedestrian area
*ENGITOPIA* the best serie ever!
3:44 is absolutely flawless
It’s engiOlympus where the engineer gods live lol
Seeing as you build cloud city, how about something from hell? Maybe the deepest city you could build only accessible by public transportation! If you've been on a train or bus to anywhere in England you know!
Someone needs to teach him you can use zones and add crazy rules. No cars
Should've had the runway run down the center of the town so the planes take off and land through the arch!
This video really presents the title of the game: Cities SKYlines. xD
5:59 The strongest shape broke the fabric of space time lol
Like the almost timberborn intro! 😂 😉
