I would love to be able to eat an edible and relax, be chill around at least my family. I have emphysema and COPD. Can't smoke it. Hurts my chest. My kids smoke weed and tell me all the time "Mom, smoke a little with us and try to chill." But I do not like the ill effects it has on me! Any suggestions. Even as a teenager. True for weed is one of the best remedies for mankind, it literally can cure cancer have witnessed this first hand. The goverment doesn't want cures it wants profits and there is not much profit in cures.
Is biblical truth that "plants are remedies" given to us by God to naturally heal.
Just like alcohol there is a line between using it for medical use or being a drunkard as a person that smokes all day for fun is just that a drunkard.
Plus if it's legal this cuts out the cartels of the south to where the local economy can benefit from it being legal so as to stop funding the cartels for where there is a will there is a way, anyone can find anything in any city if they really want even after trillions of tax dollars spent for decades to stop the flow.
If a person wants a buzz there is nothing stopping them from getting one and it is better they smoke than drink or use other hard-core substances as weed is not addictive or deadly like all the others are. A person can get a buzz and die from huffing paint or gas yet they are nit illegal.
The hatred for this plant is from pure indoctrination like the reply above this for they do not know the truth as they believe whatever msm has told them.
You can grow a plant for dang near free in your yard and cure yourself or have the meds you need or pay a fortune to take pills for life.
I knew a guy that had medical issues that was on hard-core pills like oxycotton and other pills he was taking daily that use to tare up his gut and made it hard to eat and sleep, he found out about Simpson oil and tried it, he nolonger takes those wicked pills and takes only the oil which cured his pains appetite and sleep issues.
Alcohol is way worse yet the hypocrits don't care because it doesn't fit their indoctrinated beliefs, have seen a man pee on other men thinking them a toilet, beat their wives or children, drive into others on the road or into things like trees do to being drunk, never have I seen in all my years a person do these things while stoned. To support the legalization of alcohol yet not weed is pure ignorance and hypocritical.
I guess they just like supporting the satanic cartels.

The drug is only good in the moment. The problem starts when it becomes necessary to make the moment bearable. It is a distraction at best.don’t lie to yourself. The only people who smoke weed and enjoy it are people with time to do so. And the majority of those people exchange productivity for that time they have to smoke.

I don't think it's a wonder drug. There's risks. I think it's good to show some restraint or else it will take over your life. For example, I noticed that sometimes I'll be studying a complicated subject and if I think about it when high, it'll will all click and be understandable. In a way, this is good, and why I would have to disagree with some of your statements, though I understand that that happened to you. It's hard for me to figure out which factor in my life causes which results. It's why scientific experiments are always designed so that the variables are limited and isolated, and the observer is supposed to be unaware of whos in the experimental group and who's in the control group. We don't have the ability to do this with self-reflection. My life has had ups and downs with attention, focus, mood, anxiety levels and sometimes it's due to the external environment, sometimes it's due to unconscious factors that I am unaware of, sometimes it's due to how much thc I been ingesting. At the end of the day, it's cliche, but everyone is different. You must have found value in it at one time and then you moved on. Take care.

I don't get stoned just a nice little relaxing toke that relaxes my body. Also helps me sleep when I have my occasional bouts of insomnia. Totally non addictive physically (I know some ppl develop mental addiction but that happens with all sorts of things), peaceful, calming, etc. Don't get me wrong I like a sip of single malt scotch occasionally as well but even it doesn't compare. I support the use of cannabis through and through but if u use it in excessive amounts your body will have withdrawals if u stop useing. I couldn’t sleep without jerking and twitching violently enough to wake up as soon as I fell asleep despite being extremely tired and fatigued. Also if I stop smoking theirs a huge chemical off balance that puts me into slight depression and I get really agitated very easily. I use it all day every day and consume at least 4 grams of high quality herb daily. It got me off alcohol that was ruining my life through dui’s and bar fights and almost a fatal crash due to a friend driving us drunk. Alcohol got me into so much trouble and made me an arrogant asshole and cannabis did the opposite. It allows me to relax and sort my thoughts. Slows down my brain that is always firing way to fast for me to control. Although I am addicted to cannabis without a shadow of a doubt… I can honestly say it made me a better person and I now care about others and things that I never thought twice about. Consuming large amounts of thc allows your mind to access dementions that you cannot stimulate otherwise. Turns on the inner self… the one that isn’t bound by ego or society’s perspectives. U will actually start to think for yourself and read through peoples b.s. fair warning…be around like minded people or they won’t get u or understand your perspective of things and u will distance yourself from closed minded people.

I never did any other drugs other than an occasional black beauty when I worked the grave yard shift in a factory But when my own kids were teenagers I always told them I had rather them smoke pot than drink alcohol. They did, however eventually do other drugs. One is an addict who struggles to stay clean. They grew up in the 80's when the D.A.R.E. program was taught. This is anecdotal of course, but it helps me to process information without the bias of ego. I’m extremely filled with and sensitive to negative emotion. I’ve always found that when I consume any THC product I lose that as I’m not concerned with self but develop a genuine interest in things outside of relieving my discomforts. I have and for the most part have always had depression as far as I can remember. The anxiety component is sometimes exacerbated but while I was on antidepressant and anti anxiety medication it was lead to an overwhelming sense of euphoria without the anxiety. Interesting stuff. Hopefully scientist keep digging into this stuff and hopefully one day can help develop ways to combat these things without the intoxicating effects. I don’t like getting super high. I can make a 1-1/4 joint last days. I just need relief from the burden of my ego.

I agree. Love lightening the weight of ego to allow spacious awareness. This looked condensed and crude, however very fair. Milligrams were an unknown quantity to us. Strange clinical trial... they did the best they could, I guess. Most important was your view on deeper self and losing ego. I've always experienced that as well. It's a facilitator to show what we already have within us, just a dimension untapped. We are trapped by society/ the rat race, but I'm holding out hope for this moment that we are moving in a sensible direction. Thanks for your post.

Thank you for your comment, you verbalise something perfectly that I've had no words to explain to myself for a while. Psychedelics have always helped give me and my alters distance from our emotional pain and bad memories (we have DID, CPTSD and other stuff diagnosed) and we process everything much better if we're on them. We can see things clearer and with a healthier perspective that isn't tarred by our ego getting mixed in. Sorry, I'm trying to say you're not alone and good on you for being 'self' aware. I wish you only peace and health for the future and that you continue to enjoy our good friend MJ :).

Back in the early seventies at university a friend baked some "brownies" for me, the effect was marvelous euphoria for the first 15 minutes but it kept going higher and higher and I started feeling less and less self control. At the time we didn't know how much consuming THC as opposed to smoking it multiplied the intensity. I started feeling queasy and dizzy and couldn't stay upright so my friend took me to the university student clinic where I laid down and became very sick, moaning and vomiting up the brownies . . .I still remember the nurses looking at me disdainfully, with no sympathy whatsoever, apparently they were used to this situation with students.

It was because of DuPont, they didn't want competition. Instead of making plastic from oil / a pollutant we could use hemp and marijuana to make biodegradable clothes, plastic, clothing, building materials , fuel and so much more. So the propaganda against it was all planned by big corporations and our own government. Plus it help with medical issues and can be grown easily / cheap. Naw big pharma didn't like that either. So people go to jail instead of using it to help not only the people but our environment also. You may be able to find the documentary

I feel like I've about hit middle age lately. It's interesting to me the feelings I now have about the world and people, having experienced actual change over time with many topics. For looking at comments, in other places, of people younger than me saying things like "I remember when..." and that was like 6 years ago and NOT a long time ago! It makes me laugh a little but then I also appreciate it because I am happy that they are having their own experiences, and in time will probably feel where I'm at too. I can only imagine what it is like for people even more seasoned than I am. This is just one of the reasons I really like these videos. This marijuana topic change is still in progress though, of course.

At the end what that professor said was totally true and he even somewhat predicted the future, in saying that making young adults criminals is doing more harm then the actual drug, which resonates in todays world, they take away a lot from people especially financially when they are going up against the state
