I was 16 years old when Cheech & Chong up in smoke came out, I saw it in the theater with friends...It was the midnight theater, and back then and you could smoke in the theater...Me and my friends thought no one would ever know where pot smoke was coming from if we lite a joint, because the whole place was filled with smoke.. We were super smart back then.. So we sat in the middle of the theater and smoked a joint watching this movie, and got away with it...What can I say it was the 70's... A great time to be alive!!! True story
The 1970s were a great time to be a teenager. Cruising, bonfire parties, hanging out at the local gathering place, running around the neighborhood late at night. Kids don't do that anymore. They have so much homework they don't know what fun is. I felt so sad for my kids. They didn't have the fun I did.
I love how although steveo is a reformed drug addict/alcoholic he never judges people on what they do and he actually just seems to enjoy talking about cannabis etc. Top man steveo, don’t ever change!!
That's because he's still an addict mentally. It takes years to get over the psychological aspect addiction. Once you've been sober long enough you don't care about the shit anymore.
how you judge someone when you got a car stuck up your asa once. No disrespect but if “you should be last one talk was a person” steve o on one of them
Lolol you're among the few with that opinion because even.steve himself hates how he constantly makes everything about him on the show.and he's had to.really work.on it. He's gotten.a lot better since the beginning.
I think his point was that there’s always been strong weed. It’s just that today, it’s much more accessible. You don’t have to know someone with a connection to Thailand 😁
right, and there's just more general knowledge about how to get the most out of your crop. Although you could probably argue that terpene profiles have changed which could also be argued to equal a "better" version of the plant. idk I'm stoned
I never saw bad weed back then. I see bad weed every single time I check out a dispensary today. You guys think looks matter. Yall smoking pretty trash.
@@howiegruwitz3173 then you do not remember the 80's with Raygun and his paraquat or the 90's and seeds. the average person till 15 years ago got crappy brick weed.
the weed from 60s, 70s and 80s was very bad only until the early and mid 90s did they even approach 15-20% THC. The highest THC you could have on a plant in the hippie era was 8%
shoot I didn't have to do that till I took a trip to the Bahamas in 2007. would get a couple of bags with seeds in them before that but in the Bahamas it was like it was compressed in a brick and chopped up with a cleaver. tons of seeds and stems still got me stoned in the Bahamas tho so totally worth it.
I'm an old fella. The weed we could get as kids was Mexican brick weed grown in open fields with no regard for wether the plant was allowed to go to seed or not. It truly wasn't as potent as the properly sexed and segregated plants grown today. BUT, we were so grateful for it. I got sky high many times on brick weed. So, it was all good regardless! Oh! Don't get me started on the hashish. It was sooooo tasty!
Then I recommend THCA Hemp. It’s high CBD, low THC. It’s legal in almost all 50 states due to the 2018 farm bill, therefore you can even have it shipped to your mailbox! The outdoor has that classic weed look, smell, etc. Thank me later.
Most of the weed I used to get was brick also. I remember just jamming buds into a bowl uncleaned to smoke and the seeds would explode and burn your shirt and the car would smell 😅
How “Old a fella” I was getting stoned from 1967 on…. 68/73 was unbelievable weed, Colombian Gold, Afghan Hash, Thai Stick, Hash Oil. Twas a hell of a time 🐶🇱🇹😎

If you lightly put the needle on your skins in a few different places until you don't feel anything, then inject. You'll miss blood vessel and pain that way. I got diagnosed on mothers day last year. My dad showed me this trick. He's been type 1 for 30 years
I have you by a 1/2 doz. yrs or so and started smokin @ 13. So back in the day we would sit in a group passing a jay or a pipe for hours smokin "regular weed " I don't think many people could do that with today's shit.. Well maybe Tommy could but he lost the last of his important brain cells long ago lol . We would get the " high end " dope too but ya could'nt smoke it for hours non-stop I miss the regular weed 4 finger oz's for 30 bucks the 70's were my fav
I started smoked weed in the mid 70s. We'd occasionally get real Thai stick that came wrapped with the plants "hemp" fibers, around the straightest stems. The smoothness, taste and aroma of this weed was incredible and the best around! Some of the true Colombia gold was unreal too. The curing processes were different in those days because the weed was grown outdoors on a massive scale. This is why the weed in those days lacked the green chlorophyll color that is so common today. In Colombia they'd dry and cure it in large heaps, outdoors. A person would tend to it to keep it from rain, aerated and from rotting. The outdoor sun curing is what led to the gold color of the buds. Was very similar to how some tea was cultivated and cured. The smoothness and taste of some of these old strains and curing processes was every bit as good as anything grown today! I've been a grower over 40 years now, myself.
Yeah but i feel like now anyone can get good seeds with godly genetics and grow their own weed pretty easily and it's gonna be fire while back in the day you really had to be a cultivator and know what you're doing
@@costo2100 we'd just save the rare feminized seeds from the best sensimilia strains around at the time. Marijuana doesn't require much fertilization and specific soil so the curing process was definitely the most critical factor as it is today.
@@originsdecoded3508 yeah I'm sure some of the newer strains are producing a higher THC content but it seems some of the uniqueness of the old, original strains isn't available anymore. The old strains were very unique to where they originated.
@@thenorthshore6472 The weed back from the old days I remember it being it like a mellow smooth train ride along the countryside where the mind opened up and the subtleness of imagination would unfold. Amen Tommy !!!!! Us old-timers can teach these younger growers a better way !!!!! Not chemicals , natures fertilizer, old school methods !!!!!!! Thanks for the opportunity to open up !!!!!!!
New more powerful strains aren’t usually enhanced with chemicals. It’s all botanical practices like cross-breeding. Same thing Gregor Mendel was doing centuries before any of us were born.
I'm growing an outdoor wedding cake this season, all organic fertilizer and just regular water. It's flowering in week 4 now and I might never ever grow indoors again. This outdoor flower is the most amazing thing I've ever seen.
Tommy Chong got so many things wrong in this short clip. I've studied the history of weed, strains, how sativa originally came from an indica plant and on and on. Tommy Chong is just a burnout. What's the big deal about weed anyway? We can all get it. Always could. Its just a part of our lives like alcohol. I don't get making weed your culture, especially when you are still as dumb on the subject as Tommy Chong.
Can we just take a real moment to appreciate the change steveo has made in his life for the better. Like dude this man is proof that you can be a crazy out of control kid to a high functioning adult
i got some really good stuff in the 80's . It seemed to do the job , lol . I've only seen the gold twice . Both times was very small quantity , and very good .
obviously you guys got high. It was still weed and your brain wasn't used to the amount. But for us smoking the stuff we got now plus wax. There's no way ima believe it that it was nearly as strong as today. I saw the pics of best strains in books and they all looked like dirt weed. Maybe if you were really rich you could have some decent stuff that obviously was considered the best but now with chemicals and all the techniques they use there's no way lmao
Thanks Tommy! I've been saying the same thing for a long time and whenever people say I'm nuts I just say, Thai Stick, Panama Red, Acapulco Gold. If you've never smoked them, you just don't know. Back when I was a young man I saw Cheech and Chong perform a stand up show in December of 1977 in South Bend IN, and they smoked up with me and my friend Jim after the show. What great memories!
My p5roblem is today, there are 500 different names for the same weed, just so people can say they're different. I guess it comes from the music genre naming conventions. Like, do we really need 1,000 different Metal genres?
Never had the pleasure of smoking those legendary strains you mention, except for Thai stick. I doubt, though, that the TS I've smoked was true TS. But I'm convinced that the sun-grown brick grass you could buy until about 20 years ago was more potent than a lot of the stuff you see today. The grass of 20 years ago wasn't brilliant every time. But when it was good it was REALLY good. It gave uplift and energy.
I agree Columbia Gold bud was the best I have ever smoked even against some 30 % THC weed. It was also the best tasting weed ever. Barry Seal bought back the best weed in the world. I visited his grave site a couple months ago because he is buried in the cemetery I will be in.
yes indeed the gold was the top shelf smoke back in the day it came from santa marta colombia the color was awesome it was rich and one doob is all you needed for the day it gave you the heavy head there was also good jamaican commercial back then to that was real stony came from mountain terrain area's on the island it all went away i would say about 1980 0r 81 then the sinsemilla showed up
There was a lot of great Herb in the 70’s. Tommy’s right. I remember the first time I saw Santa Marta Gold. We were paying $120/pound for half Kilos of Mex..My friend came up with some Santa Marta Gold. He said “It’s $900 a pound”. I said “that’s outrageous!“ Then I smoked some and immediately bought half a pound. It was laden with seeds too. Then Thai sticks came around. I was paying $200/ounce. An ounce usually had 12-14 sticks. Ya sell ten for $20 a stick, and smoke what’s left. There was Moroccan herb and Oaxacan Spears that came in uncompressed. They were good too. Then the Temple Balls and Finger Hash came from Nepal. And it was outrageously good. Everyone rumored that it had Opium in it. Then during the Russian/Afghan war, the US was clearly letting in Afghani Hash because there was a big supply in the States. Sure Americans are learning to grow it well, and the science is improving, but we weren’t all smoking crap herb in the 70s.
Nowadays the names are just ridiculous, it used to be named after the place of origin or a physical characteristic. Also budda sticks were different than regular Thai sticks. Real Thai sticks were wrapped around a bamboo stick wit the thread being a fiber pulled from the stem, budda sticks were wrapped with cotton string. The thread was stained red because they used solvents to thin the opium enough for dipping. I've been smoking since '64 so I'm old as dirt and fart dust.
@@darrellcook8253 My Husband told me about Thai stick and Blond Hash he said some troops would smuggle the stick back from Vietnam when they went on leave in Thailand. Look up on you tube this kid found a box buried with Thai stick in it and some military stuff in it it may be on TY still. He said he smoked a little bit of thai weed pop on some Robin Trower Johnny Winters captured live or Jeff Beck he said what a roller coaster high.
Old school here. Tommy is correct. Weed I smoked back then were mind blowing sativas, so powerful they were not even fun to smoke. Make you sweat and paranoid. The indoor weed, indicas, have gotten higher THC levels, but THC is only part of the high. Hazes are still, today, considered some of the strongest strains out there, which are from the 70's. They have relatively low THC but will make you reevalute reality.
I think its bullshit. It depends how powerful the lights you grow with.... how well you take care of the plants. Hydroponic? You've never tried Biker weed have ya. :P white as snow... crystals like you've never seen.
@@MrWolfheart111 I have been smoking weed since I was 12, and I am in my 50's now. I have been growing weed since I was 19, indoor and outdoor, long before it was ever legal. I have raised landrace sativas and indicas alike, indoor and outdoor. I promise you that you do not have more experience with weed than Tommy Chong and I. What Tommy said was true, the weed back then was just as good as today. Sativas, true sativas, are very difficult to grow indoors and impossible to grow profitably, yet sativas have mind b!owing highs that indicas cannot match because the high is different. That is why people try to cross strains. That is what I meant about weed getting better indoors. If you believe you can come c?ose to matching the experience levels of Tommy Chong and I, well, good luck.
@@jamesstepp1925 No I cant come close to growing anything like that... but I have friends that do. :) You cant get better weed than unlimited money can make. :)
My mother (born in 1960) always told me that weed these days looks, smells, and smokes worse than the worst weed she's smoked in the 70's yet I never believed her. Are there still OG strains being grown anymore or is everything cross breed and being produced the "new way"? I've been trying to get some good weed for my mom but I know nothing is the same and she'd just be disappointed. I'd love to know if there are still good ones out there for the old school people
I worked with a guy that used to tell me the something. It seems to me that all the hybrids/cross breeding made the sativas weaker. It's hard to find a good sativa now.
Good insight here from a vet who lived it. Thanks Steve-O and Sir Tommy! I've yet to see a version of today's weed that stacks up to our 70s experience. Today it's all about chemical enhancement and growth-enhanced mass production for dispensaries/etc. In the 70s you didn't see much of that crap. The quality came from the climate in which it was grown, the techniques with which the growing plants were nurtured (nutrients, etc.), the patient time plants were afforded to mature, and harvesting method (again, more time--as much as 6 months--for "ripening"). Of course, the best started with seeds from quality strains to begin with (like a race horse blood line). Sure, today's weed will blow your mind, but yesterday's mellowed mind, body, and soul. We didn't even mind the stem-and-seed packed variety if it was good, otherwise. That's what double albums were for (straining the seeds and stems)!
The thing is, people can now grow their own at home. 100% organic, fed the cleanest, purest water and the plant can honestly be completed doted over from seed to harvest. I don't see how this is fundamentally different from what you guys had back in the 70's. Sure you probably had access to more purity (in terms of strain), but the plan hasn't fundamentally changed - the way it's mass produced and access has.
Those climates still exist, and those growers still have the option to grow it the same way. They don't, because scientifically we can test to see the potency of the plant and we learn that it is TRASH. Nostalgia blinds the old heads, they think the 70s weed is lost but it's still around, its that stuff you're disappointed to get from your dealer. The twiggy, leafy, crappy and scrappy backyard crap.
i disagree with this a little. i agree with how its grown now and everything but, weed is stronger now they did not have the thc percents in the 70's that we have now they just didnt and it is proven. i love Tommy but i highly disagree with this statement.
Finally Chong is right. There was 1hit weed in the 70's. From temple balls, thai stick, Panama Red, real gold bud. Stuff that 1 hit would knock you for a loop.
@Martin Madden pure thc distillate aka single pass if you're in the know and got proper equipment or yes the thca diamonds but gotta be the clear Crack rock looking ones. If there's yellow it's got terps. Compared to a shatter that's 95 percent rhc been refined so absolute shatter and still has like 5 percent terps.
@Martin Madden bro. Thai stick is made with fucking oil and weed. I know how to make the shit. You literally have no clue what you're on about. It's also the reason retards run around saying it has opium in it.
It’s the same weed, we’ve just figured out where and when to grow and harvest for max THC but that’s not to say we didn’t have killer weed back in the day, I’m 63 btw.

I remember smoking real blueberry. Most delicious bud I’ve ever smoked. When the flower is a blue green tint loaded with trichomes and literally smells and tastes like blueberries. I’ll never forget.
And the taste is something I'll never forget either. Horrible tasting and harsh as hell. I'll still come across the random seed that somehow forced itself into existence, maybe 1 tiny seed in every couple of ounces or so
Shit, I still get that fire Reggie!!! With all the dro and the plethora of other goodies, sometimes some good old fashioned Fire Reggie is just what the doctor ordered. Especially the differences in smell both in the bag and, especially while being burned are totally different. I remember a few occasions, while partying with friends, they would ask what kind of bud I'm smoking, because the smell was something they hadn't experienced before. I was like "What you never smelled regular weed before!?" I can't believe that there is a generation of kids that smoke weed, but have never had the experience and the pleasure of smoking regular weed. I guess it's just nostalgia on my part? 😂
Gotta disagree Tommy. I grew up in the 70s. Had Thai stick, Panama Red, Acapulco Gold, Lebanese Blonde Hash, Black opiated hash(still my favorite) Columbian, Mexican, and you could smoke those all day and they'd get you to a certain high and keep you there. The weed today will have you drooling in a corner after a couple of bong hits. It's been engineered to be much stronger. I'd take Acapulco gold over anything today. It was the chillest high, and it tasted wonderful. You became the embodiment of mellow yellow.
Tommy's been around a bit longer and he's Canadian. They grow some damn fine weed up there. I offered a friend of mine from Canada some skunk weed in the early 80s. He told me that would be considered regular weed where he was from. I visited there a few years later. All the weed I tried there was much better than the stuff I was getting in So Cal unless I was paying $200 an ounce for it.
I would have to agree with you. Acapulco Gold was my favorite. And we didn't buy it by the gram or ounce. It was always a nickel bag, dime bag, or a quarter bag. I tried an edible once. Just one square from a candy bar and I was drooling for 6 hours. But, I'm 60 now and I don't use it to get high anymore. I use it as medicine. I have rheumatoid arthritis and I can't take the medicine for it cause it makes my mouth break out in sores even though I'm taking folic acid to counteract that. Cannabis plus CBD takes away the pain. I still feel some pain right before it rains.

I’m giving my age away here. They had unfertalized weed (sinsimela) back in the 70’s that was just as potent as today’s weed it was just harder to find and there weren’t a lot of domestic growers back then. Mostly it was fertilized Mexican weed with lots of stems and seeds. Back then in the Midwest we would occasionally get some Acapulco Gold or Maui Wowie and those were the first types of Sinse available and were darned popular but real hard to find. Don’t you remember Tommy’s song about Acapulco Gold from back then? “No stems, no seeds, it’s all you need. Acapulco Gold is (long inhale) bad ass weed.”.
I remember having some Jamaican weed back in 1988. It was the stickiest stuff I've ever seen. It was perfect for rolling joints with. The paper would just stick to it and roll the most perfect joint. The only problem with it though was, you could take a hit and if you didn't take another hit or pass it to somebody else to take a hit immediately, it would go out and you would have to light it again. It was kind of a pain in the ass but it was the best weed I ever smoked. Hands down it was as good as anything they have today. This is coming from someone who has smoked for 42 years. I've tried them all.
@@johnfabozzi3636 I remember getting weed like what you described. You had to light it every time you took a hit. Well to be fair, the stems can be used to help grow hybrids. Not to mention the fact that you can make some amazing tea and coffee with them..! But I feel ya..! ✌️
Tommy got it wrong, Himalayan hashish is called Charas, it is rubbed off living cannabis plants by HAND, creases serving as collection points. Top grade charas an experienced worker will rub about 20 grams a day, at maximum. It is hard work done by families. Worst grades produced by childred, elite grades by old women with decades of experience and a touch more gentle than the wind.
I smoked good Panama Red when I was in the Navy in the Canal Zone in the early ‘70’s. Before I left there, we did a home improvement project for the guy who sold it to us (at $80 a pound) and he rewarded us with some special reserve that was just incredible! Great memories! It’s all relative.
It is impossible for me to even narrow down the stupid and uninformed posts to one to reply to. For starters, it's absolute bullshit to assert that the quality of weed in terms of the quality of effects, the high and how few hits it takes to get those effects are only about the percentage of THC. Yes...THC is ONE cannabinoid that is absolutely responsible for much of the effect. There are also around 200 (more or less) other cannabinoids and terpines that provide an entourage effect that make relatively infinite possible effects in various combinations for the final effects. There are strains now, and there were in the 70's, and earlier that would kick your ass with a couple or a few tokes that have a much lower delta 9 THC % than many of the ultra high THC strains today. This is fact. Also...it is fact that MOST people bought shit weed back then, for a variety of reasons. Having good connections was key. Colombian Gold and Red bud, Panama Red, Thai Stick, Hawaiian, Alaskan (and many more) were all 2 hit and you're stoned to the bone, even for wake n bakers like I was back then. Add to that, black and some of the red hash, hash oil and the more refined "honey oil" were also available, and powerful as fuck. If you weren't around, you don't qualify to dispute these facts simply because you read something somewhere, or some 30 year old prodigy told you so. Although MOST people didn't have access, and many could only afford the 10-15 bucks for a seedy bag of shitty brick weed...great shit was available if you knew the right people. While I agree, that not only Tommy Chong, but even today people, and even manufacturers who call devices to make hash "pollen presses", and the screens that filter trichomes "pollen screens" are just wrong...I would bet any amount of money that Tommy had access. Thai sticks were bad ass, great genetics grown with care and generations of knowledge. They didn't need opium to kick it up, although I've heard arguments both ways and tend to believe that there may have been SOME that were...but have nothing to base that on other than stories. There seems to be an abundance of arrogance on this whole "our" shit is better these days. I personally enjoy the variety and qualities available today...IF grown organically, with good genetics, and by someone who knows what they are doing, not only with the grow, but the dry and cure [arguably the most important part aside from great genetics]. Sure, you can grow impressive looking buds fast with hydro and chemical nutrients, but combine that with the industrial grow ethos and total disregard for a proper dry and cure on the race to market, you have the formula for why so many dispensaries sell shit. Yes...even the stuff with the 20-30% THC labels. Tommy may not have articulated the facts perfectly, but so what? He's Tommy Fucking Chong, he's been all over the world, and I'll bet he's smoked the best wherever he went, and probably some of the worst as well at some points. He may not be a scientist...but he's a fucking legend, so fuck off on the Tommy bashing.
@@kentkilgore8654 Yes absolutely. It drives me nuts that all ppl talk about is THC %.... that's barely important when everything is above 7%, anything above that is more than enough THC. in 1974, I was in high school and a friend planted some plants in his backyard on a farm. His mother weeded the garden and destroyed all but one pot plant, which my friend dug up and moved to a better place. While it was growing he would take the yellow leaves, roll one up and bring it to school where four of us got ripped off one joint. When he harvested the plant (it was 6 feet tall) it was the best weed we ever smoked at the time. Everybody in school wanted some. Years later I thought that was probably a pure female plant and the first sinsimella I ever smoked.
If it got you high it was for sure a female, and with "sinsimella" you mean "sin semilla"? "sin semilla" means "with no seed" in spanish, so weed with no seeds
You were smoking the yellow leaves ?!?! Hahahaha holy fuck man there’s like .01% THC in a water leaf if you were getting high off those you coulda got high off of anything 😂
@@benm38 it was early 70s - Mexican weed was what we smoked when there was no homegrown- $20 ounces - the good ol' days - getting high off of anything? I wish that were the case now
@@benm38 not true back then all weed came from Mexico or south America these sativas didn't bud because of the amount of light hours but the age of the plant. Sativas back then we're sticky resin plants no frost. The leaves definitely got you high.
I dunno I think the weed we smoked back in the 70's was actually stonier than the carefully manicured Christmas tree buds from today. Thai sticks, Acapulco gold, Maui Howie, Columbian and hash....2-4 tokes and you were gone, awesome times before it become homogenized and sold everywhere.
There's a lot of "Instagram weed" out there today. Bred for pretty colors and to look nice in pictures... but often pretty damn disappointing. As Tommy alluded to, you can trace that back to stuff like High Times centerfolds and plain old marketing hype.
Technically alot of misstatements in this interview. But I understand what he means. I personally Dont prefer todays weed as it is over hybridized/cross bred. The saying i like what I like. A good sensimelia sativa of certain strains os best. Most weed now is stoner/Indica Heavy. I like a head high not stoned high n I find that is harder to obtain regularly. As for strength today's weed is stronger but that doesn't make it better. Long lasting mellow happy high.
@@ryanwells5035 the reason for the takeover of the market by indica strains is simple: their quick lifespan makes them easier to work with and more profitable than sativas. With the short flowering times of Afghan indica hash plants, American and European growers quickly realized they could get the crop in before cold/wet weather outdoors, and the economic part really came into play because you can get 3 or 4 harvests out of an indoor grow each year instead of one.
Haven't run into real good skunky smelling bud since I was a teen around 2004 or so.. I'm almost thinking it was just the way it smelled to me as a kid or something cause even picking up supposed "skunk" strains.. it's just not as stinky as it used to be.
@@collinmc90 i literally just harvested a Sensi Seeds Skunk #1 Auto. Barely a skunk smell at all, more of a fruity sweet, but huge massive nuggets, and it smokes so well!!
i've smoked dispensary weed when i lived in California, and I smoked in the coffee shops of amsterdam, and the best weed i've ever smoked was some northern haze from the streets of boulder colorado before it was legal there. that is a mix of purple haze and northern lights, and those are some old strains from the hippy days. tasted great too, like skunky pine trees.
Being an old fart and in the military in the early '70s, I got to sample some of the fine hash and buds available at the time. I've had Acapulco and Columbian gold, Afghani, Maui Wowie, white to green lebonese hash - the originals. I went to my local dispensary and got what they claimed was Acapulco Gold... uh, nah... nopers. Not even close. It's nice, tasty bud, but its not that for sure.
Yes I remember as a fellow old fart - there was good stuff in the 70's- but at a premium price. Standard Mexican Ounce was about $15 with stems and seeds of course! Took a good part of a joint to get you high though -
My parents tell me all about Acapulco gold and Thai stick and the hash that used to make it to Butte, Montana in the 70s was apparently amazing and was about 5 bucks a gram. But the real old school drugs I wish I could try (just for the experience, I am aware people ruined their lives over this) is the old school pharmaceuticals lol. Black beauties, Yellow jackets, Quaaludes, and of course I would loooove to try some of that old 70s cocaine. god damn You can't even buy real cocaine anymore in the USA.
I'm convinced skunk weed doesn't exist anymore. GMO cookies is about as offensive as you can get and it really isn't even a drop in the bucket as far as the real deal skunk stank went.
He was spot on. Granted there was weed in the 70s that wasn't that strong because it was mostly leaves with the seeds and stems. But there was gold from Acapulco and as he said, Thai sticks and even Jamaican that if you got the buds, not leaves, was equal to any out there today. I had both red and gold bud that made me hallucinate. And forget about the hashes--Afghan, Lebanese, Nepalese, Moroccan, blond, red, black, brown--all amazingly strong. What used to be sold to make money and not make happy is now tossed or cooked for other uses.
Loved the brown hash it just relaxed the shit out of ya. No cares in the world. The crappy mexican weed or home grown sucked. Nothing like a world war going off in your bowl from all the seeds popping. So much so it launched the whole bowl of weed out of the bowl lol.
What actually surprised me was the color, at the time I assumed that the name had something to do with the buzz, was 17at the time. Where I lived it took some time or you needed to know someone to get to try it. WHOA is what I remember. Some Ripple and a couple of pulls, and running from the cops bc some yippies were throwing out free doobies from the flatbed that was used as a stage for the free concert. Better that you got there with shoes cuz the cops were playing smash the Ripple bottles.
@@sufficetosay That could because of how used to it you are, or your age. You cant really get any higher THC potency than Wax. IDC what anyone says, or what stories they had in the 70s-80s. Knowledge continues to grow and so does science. Hash was 60% or so and that would be extremely high quality. You're extracting almost nothing but THC when you make wax. Certain methods you can get as high as 99% pure THC which was never even close to a thing until somewhat recently. Bud also wasn't bred to be as potent back then either, that's factual as well. Compare it to Peppers. Was the carolina reaper around in the 70s? Im sure you ate some pretty damm hot shit back in the day but until recently, the scoville scale never reached over 1 million until the early 2000s when the ghost pepper was made. Ghost peppers were looked at as undefeatable, they are infact miniscule compared to some things. Even artificially made. It's called being old and stubborn is what Chong was showing. I agree at one point he was the greatest along with Cheech and did probably the most, notably, but times change my friend.
@@sufficetosay Look at High Times magazine back then. They showed they quality. They themselves are saying weed is evolving. If it's not about the THC what's it about? You can get more now than you ever could because of legality plus increasing popularity. The most annoying thing about "old timers" is that they think all the names they get are this and that. With 20 different qualities, dro, dank, nug, skunk, dope, Schwag, brick, etc and all that nonsense. You think that way because it was so unknown to you and you think your upcoming was the best. Everything that you named is still being made or has been made better in quality. You're not seeing the bigger picture and you're stuck in your own head just like most old timers. You'd be surprised at my age because I'm quite old myself, I'm able to see past the stupid shit!
Power of nostalgia, and being a young and having half decent weed. My friend from this era in time smoking in 60s and 70s would agree with tommy here, however recently he decided to try stuff selling at pot shops (he was so unconvinced and finally curious it’s got to him) and after a few solo sessions he came back to me just to tell me I was right that today’s shit is so much stronger. He wouldn’t admit better, but would admit stronger, infact he thought maybe too strong potentially dangerous with how strong it is.
@@since1876 yea exactly it. I challenge Tommy to find me a bud (just flower nothing dipped or anything) from his favorite era that’s pushing 34% THCa like this batch I’m smoking here of most random strain I found that was on sale at the dispo and was a hybrid which I like, Apple fritter. secretly it’s fire, my GF thought I may have dropped acid after I finished a doobie of it, that’s how good it is…
@@darlinevictor yea this is true not arguing it. They been busy on I don’t know what, cuz the stuff I let them smoke was like budget stuff sold $30 for 1/4 Oz and one hit they got lit and started reminiscing about Thai sticks and Colombian gold and stuff…they agreed it’s stronger today but unwilling to let go of what they remember of those two strains mainly…
@@darlinevictor if you can, check out G13 live sugar dabs and give this a hit and tell me if anything like Thai Sticks. Reason I mention this is I forgot about it and just came to my mind how effing crazy that strain is, it’s a sativa too which is what Thai sticks is primarily. It’s one of those strains where you can be cross eyed and see straight. It’s pleasant in every way but also extremely intense like you get send fully and oddly, zero crash effect. Not even slightly. But gotta do a dab of it, smoking the flower is way more docile too docile…
The factor everyone overlooks is that the smoking experience one has when young can't be accurately judged against smoking when decades older. A person's physiology and mental processes change more than weed strains have in psychoactivity. While selective cross-breeding strains has resulted in higher thc 9 contents, some hybridization has focused on high cbd levels, and all makes it's way to the market. The way cannabis naturally evolved, higher potency plants grew around the equator. Lower potency graded the further from the equator, and was hemp in many latitudes. This means Columbian, Hawaiian, Thai, etc were/are naturally occurring potent strains. ...If one were to grow hemp by the equator, through generations, it would become more potent. Inversely, growing a wild patch of sativa in the midwest long enough will adapt to being hemp. (Should it be able to propagate seeds in a short season.) Growing multiple generations of seeds also have a potency curve that eventually declines. (It's a reason cloning specific plants quickly became the norm.) In all of this, it is silly to get into extract products of cannabis, (like dabs vs hash oil, etc) as thc is broken down by heat, light, and air. The potency of any extract varies as much on it's storage as it's original potency. As weed also affects each individual differently, the comparisons become more convoluted. Perhaps instead we can all just agree cannabis is a versatile drug that has improved as many lives as alcohol has ruined.

🤦🏽♂️how is this even a debate. Give a chilli eater back in the 50s a Carolina reaper and ask the question. Chilli peppers have a scaling system as does weed🤔
I remember back in the early 80s through the 90s we mostly got mexican ditch weed. Sometimes we would get the really good weed like Acolpulco Gold, Colombian Gold, Pointa Roja, Thai Stick, Maui Waui, Skunk that was so dank and lemony also called Creeper weed b/c the buzz creeped up on you. In the 90s things started to change. We started to get Hydroponic bud that was seedless and had exceptional huge bright green buds. The Mexican ditch weed started to change in the 90s. The Mexicans started to learn from Americans how to grow the bug into big buds with less seeds. After 2000 all the different varieties started to come out. Now everything has changed b/c of legal and medicinal bud. Now there’s hundreds of varieties and names. It’s a bit sad to me that we seem to have lost some of the original landraces that we had back in the day. Toke on!! 🤔😆🇺🇸🇺🇸
Exactly my experience except the better weed began in the late 70's not the early 80's. The price jumped from C$20/oz to C$60/oz but it was worth it, the quality was so much better. In the 70's hash and hash oil were also very popular.

Ditch weed is hemp. We called the weed you speak of dirt weed. Most of those other types of weed usually came from Mexico too but the growers put a little more effort into it.
Shout out to tommy for educating the folks! Weed is potent by its chemical variation. One strain that’s 20% thc can be stronger than one that’s “37%” depending on the other chemical compounds the strains has cbd thca thcv ect
That Roadkill skunk we used to get back in the day was way better than any of this stuff nowadays. I've had a lot of stinky weed over the years and even a lot of the newer strains can be rather smelly. But nothing compares to that old skunk strain from the 80s and 90s. It legit smelled like you ran over a skunk and you could not hide the smell at all. The high was almost euphoric too, probably the most couch locked weed I've ever smoked. I was sad to read those strains were bred out
I sort of feel that when your starting out the skunk component overwhelms your senses and the subtle characters of that sort of indica herb are lost to you after a few years you tune out the skunk portion and can focus on the differences underneath. i started to develop this theory when i noticed each generation claiming they saw the true road kill in early 80s then 90s then 2000ks.. if you ask a non smoker today what a strong indica smells like they will say a skunk makes my eyes water etc L
@@XxmattitudexX the real skunk strains were bred out in the late 90s before carbon filters became mainstream , there are people actively trying to bring it back though
What changed in weed is mostly just how we clean and cure it, which is why it seems that much better now. Curing and harvesting at just the right time can make or break even the best strain.
tbf they changed growing weed by selecting genetics, so what he is saying in the video that it is the same plant and cannot change is just false. You can selectively modify the genes of the plant to get more THC out of it... we have known this for years
@@liljohn8797 They select the best and rebreed those plants to try to keep those traits, or use cloning, the genes arent being modified, the genes were always there, but certain factors turn certain parts of the genome on and off. And tbf humans have done this with almost every plant in existence for thousands of years, even with weed, it's nothing new, its just much better documented now and more people are doing it. Back in the day, most people just grew shit Bush weed, but it doesn't mean there weren't people using selective breeding and cloning to get higher thc/cbd/size whatever.
Much more has changed other than cleaning and curing. Super grows with co2 tanks, nutrients got balanced and precise, hydroponics and indoor growing became popular (80’s), with that hybrids and autos came about. Saying nothing changed is like saying gmo’s and F1 hybrids don’t exist. 100 years from now you’ll be able to grow a ounce in 2 months
@@brly4542 It is genetically modified. Just like tomatoes. You think they didn't tamper with the genes? How else would you get weed that tastes like cheese or other specific traits. And even the methods you mentioned are still altering the genetic makeup of the plant. They are even specifically tuned to grow in a shorter time period, from 3 months down to 2 and it's getting even shorter. Tommy Chung is just a boomer here who has no idea what he's talking about. Not denying his og status as a smoker, but listening to him like he's some god is the same thing as thinking Snoop Dogg is a professional botanist cuz he's been smoking his brains out for the last 50 years. I love Tommy Chong, but he is 100% dead wrong on weed today not being any stronger than weed back in the 60s and 70s. - Sincerely, an Oaksterdam University Cannabis Cultivation Alumni.
@@bertall1ca It has nothing to do with comparing ones personal experience from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, (or for any other decade for that matter) to today. It has to do with the science behind growing, and what we know now compared to what we knew then. The five limiting factors, as well as genetics and growing methods/mediums, define the end product’s quality and quantity. The amount of scientific studies that have been conducted over the past 4 decades having to do with cannabis, especially out of Israel, is baffling. For example, just over the past five years in states where medical or adult use has passed we have seen increases of percentage of different cannabinoids, including THC and CBD, go up to 10 - 15%. Quality always improves over time, until it hits a certain threshold bound by its genetics. I suggest you enroll in Oaksterdam. Or if you want, send an email to any of the founders of the school or teachers. Some of whom are in their 60s or older. Research Ed Rosenthal for one. Ed Rosenthal is good friends with Tommy Chong. Tommy even wrote the forward in Ed’s latest textbook. Also, the only reason that weed has a bunch of seeds in it is because it accidentally got cross pollinated. So I don’t think Tommy really knows what he’s talking about when it comes to growing. Everything else he said was spot on though. Especially about hash and temple balls. However from what I’ve researched at OU, temple balls were made from taking your hands and pulling them upwards over each bud without breaking the plant and then collecting all of the pollen off of your hands afterwards.
@@lucasloy7587 Yeah, he went off on a tangent about hash & whatever but what he's talking about seeds & sticks I know was true at least in the 90's. Average smokers were not getting pure weed, the extra pieces of plant they included to "make the weight" brought down the purity or the effectiveness of the product. So, getting a more pure product such as hash or actually only smoking the leaves & buds was comparable to today's strains.
My dad has been a pothead since the late 60s, or early 70s and he even grew it on a regular basis before I was born. He used to get Thai sticks all the time, and he made it his mission to find seeds in the Thai sticks, which was pretty rare. He found like two seeds in a 5 year period, but he planted those seeds and grew some really amazing weed. He then pollinated them, and got lots of seeds out of those plants. He started growing this Thai weed, and everyone was busting his door down wanting to buy some.. even the cops. The cops even would tell him when they were going to raid him ahead of time, so he could move his plants. That’s how good it was. So, yeah weed hasn’t changed, and it was strong even back then. It’s just more accessible now, and with so many states legalizing it, getting bad weed is what is more rare now. I guess if you live in an area where it’s illegal in an entire region, it would be difficult, but for the most part the good stuff is available practically everywhere now.
As a Thai guy who was smoke weed but not in that time period(60s-70s) now a day Thai sticks has gone really rare even Thai peeps can’t find . What people still don’t understand is that landraces are still pretty much the backbone of the genetics we have now in 2021. I had a friend back in the early ‘80s that occasionally got ahold of Acapulco Gold and all it took was a pin joint between the two of us to feel the effects.
This is truth! Some of the best cannabis I ever had was back in the late 70's. Michigan had that Thai stick Tommy was referring to and Hawaiian was being brought in as well. Sure,we had that Mexican brick weed but we also had Colombian gold,Red bud,Skunk,Blonde and Black hash, and almost never saw any shwag. Best thing was it was cheap! The Thai and the Hawaiian were the most expensive and that was $10-12 a fat gram which was very expensive. I'd love to have some of that old school seed...
You don't remember $10 for a lid? A 5 finger lid was an ounce. The thai stick was MUCH better when the Vietnam war was ongoing, because afterwards the copies were never equal to the original brought back from the war. The hawaiian came from those seeds, so if you're in the days of the best hawaiian, you missed the ORIGINAL thai stick, while the war was ongoing. The mexican always had a great difference between the best & the worst. The best mexican weed never made it to America, as it got smoked down there, & it was better than anything grown today, as they have lost the good, pure sativa genetics. This fool talking about hybrids, never had the really good mexican weed. Its gone! Leafly doesn't even know what Acapulco gold was, as it was not a hybrid & it was not pretty. Kids today have much to learn.
@@realitywave lol and nobody said it was being changed into another plant. The fact remains that in 30 years very noticeable and measured changes can, and have been made. This is all very well known and documented.

I feel like nostalgia gets in the way of our objective judgement abilities from time to time. Theres no denying that the science of hydroponics has opened up a whole new world of strains that’s not only made cannabis far more accessible, but far more diverse. At one time you just got what the dealer had, now you can tailor the bud to your personal tastes and medical needs from hundreds of selections at each dispensary. Whether it be recreation or medicinal you’re pretty well covered.
I agree and the black hash you could buy was crazy good, and plentiful in 80s 90s now it's all repressed garbage! Also the buds then just seemed to hit harder especially if you could get the good Laser lettuce aka hydro!
I did like Kind, white rhino, AK-47, fruity pebbles and especially train wreck from that era. That was one of the most innovative times in the history of domestic production here in the United States.
Yeah, the flavor was like no other, including today! All those great strains, the golds, Hawaiians, early Nor Cal, all those flavors & smells are gone. strongest pot I ever smoked was Columbian Gold Bud! You had to pick your favorite chair first because that's where you were gonna be for a long time! lol
Columbian Gold or Acapulcan Gold we had back in the '70-'80 was just as good as some of the 'best' these days, the smoke was always mellow & smooth. Now, we hooked up to a few Lb's of this shit called 'Lamb's Breath' and to this day, the only thing that get me as high is doing a few dabs of honey, butter or whatever. Anyway, there's a dispensary in CO called 'LiveWell' and a few years ago I picked up an oz of 'White Bubba Gold', it's buzz reminded me of lambs breath! (lots harsher though)
Tommy is a pot icon and I'm with him on pot quality. We had some Killer weed in the 60's and 70's. The difference today is consistent quality. He mentioned Thai Stick and anyone who has ever had it will tell you it maybe the best of all reefer.
Oh, yea. Here in the U.K. in the early 90’s we used to get Thai sticks, Moroccan hash, and Jamaican hi-grade, which was just gorgeous. They all offered different flavours and highs.
yep the newbies dont have to build connects and start off with dirt and homegrown till they get connected. thai and Hawaiian were both on another level
The skunk indica we had in Oregon during the 80’s was so good. Before all the hybridization for larger yields etc. small one oz plants that were very potent
Then I recommend THCA Hemp. It’s high CBD, low THC. It’s legal in almost all 50 states due to the 2018 farm bill, therefore you can even have it shipped to your mailbox! The outdoor has that classic weed look, smell, etc.
To me weed has gotten worse over the past 6 years. "I got that loud" more like dirt. Legalization might be good for the states with it but in GA the quality has fallen drastically. It's some kind of hemp now I think.
I think it’s just that more people are buying basic shit from Cali and Oregon growers at a discount then sending it back home. Blame the Asians who sell pounds out of warehouses in LA. All the “Cali” that my guys wind up getting now is average/worse than what I used to get back when we didn’t know where it came from lol probably because most people want more weed when they buy, not more potency. All the dispensary bud is as good as it’s always been in my opinion.
now that cannabis and its byproducts are becoming legal in states across the country we have way too many people growing now that arent passionate about the plant, just the revenue it can produce. imo you get the very best weed from a craft farmer
Definitely agree with you. Another trap I've noticed is people only focusing on THC. At least in colorado, the growers decide where it gets tested for potency. So there are certain labs that specialize in just getting the highest results for you, they'll go through all the nugs and pick out the ones they know will yield the highest results. If Its above 30 percent it's probably tourist trap crap in my experience. Best to find good looking buds and trust your gut, or a good home grower who knows their shit really.
Back in the day - Getting high - sativa - 14 to 18 weeks, leaving your body, having visions, revelations. Modern day - Getting stoned - indica - 7 to 10 weeks, not wanting to feel the stress, not wanting to think to much, trying to sleep. Most people have never experienced high as it takes to long, costing money. Everything is relative. You pick 😊
I used to get this weed in the 90s that tasted like a nice beef roast. So delicious and mellow and a very clean buzz. The shit now a days is too uppity and gives me anxiety. Even the indica strains
Probably grown outside with good rich soil too. I miss that old outdoor cali og kush that tasted like Indian food (around 2012 used to have access). Way denser body high than even the craziest most resinous indoor stuff.
I'll never forget Cholocate Buddha out of Harlem...tasted like a caramel-chocolate toffee candy. Must have been transported in a candy truck. About a year or so later there was hash available with the same amazing flavor. Hash + Capaccinos all winter long.
I agree to some extent, but because weed is becoming much more mainstream and stronger weed strains are getting in the streets to the common smoker, but back in the day I believe they had some real strong weed like we have today it was just harder to get your hands on.
What's changed is the availability of fresh bud versus weed that has been smuggled across the country from some field in Mexico. We used to grow plants from those seeds, because there were always seeds back then, and the smoke was ten times better than the original bud.
Then I recommend THCA Hemp. It’s high CBD, low THC. It’s legal in almost all 50 states due to the 2018 farm bill, therefore you can even have it shipped to your mailbox! The outdoor has that classic weed look, smell, etc.
The "Thai stick' was just small buds tied to a stick and then coated with the sticky slag scraped off the top of the rendered opium to help it stay on the stick and then it was bundled into 1Kg bags that when opened, had to be steamed to get the opium based glue to soften enough to then break the sticks apart. THAT is what 'Buddha sticks' were in such demand. That 'taste' of opium.
I think you're correct, cos I smoked a lot of weed in Thailand 20 years ago and it was all total dogshit. It will be the same genetics as back then, just with no opium.
Shit happens. You are much better off/healthier having smoked some opium recently or in the past than taking any proper pharmacological opioid of any significant strength. The opium was added to increase the perceived strength of the bud aswell as sticking the sticks and bud together but it wouldn't necessarily be enough to be the main effect of the product. You guys who smoked proper Thai stick like this back in the day, did you notice a stronger stoning feeling off of Thai stick back in the day than other bud or not? I'm wondering if anyone who was familiar with opiates ever questioned it's effects when smoking it! But then again maybe none of you felt or noticed the opium if you didn't know to look for it. Did anyone you know become weirdly dependent on it or anything? Edit:spelling
Exactly. Weed these days is loud, you just go around smelling like a skunk but really no actual buzz and then a headache. Back in my time Columbian Gold 🧡 you would have the giggles and munchies. None of the weed today does that,it just makes your eye balls feel bulging, that's about it
skunks in the 80's were so sticky you could stick buds to the the wall and the flavor/aroma was off the chart, seems blue dream crosses jacked up most of the old dank strains.

Tommy is spot on and he has smoked over the years so if you didn't smoke in the 70's then your just offering an opinion.

Back then in the Midwest we would occasionally get some Acapulco Gold or Maui Wowie and those were the first types of Sinse available and were darned popular but real hard to find.

Ah , Panama red , great times
It's all relative because your perception of good weed was different then
It is impossible for me to even narrow down the stupid and uninformed posts to one to reply to.
@@kentkilgore8654 should post this!
@@kentkilgore8654 Yes absolutely. It drives me nuts that all ppl talk about is THC %.... that's barely important when everything is above 7%, anything above that is more than enough THC.

(Should it be able to propagate seeds in a short season.)
Growing multiple generations of seeds also have a potency curve that eventually declines. (It's a reason cloning specific plants quickly became the norm.)
In all of this, it is silly to get into extract products of cannabis, (like dabs vs hash oil, etc) as thc is broken down by heat, light, and air. The potency of any extract varies as much on it's storage as it's original potency.
As weed also affects each individual differently, the comparisons become more convoluted.
Perhaps instead we can all just agree cannabis is a versatile drug that has improved as many lives as alcohol has ruined.

tbf they changed growing weed by selecting genetics, so what he is saying in the video that it is the same plant and cannot change is just false.
He's not, he's just a rich guy that smokes lots of weed and is famous so people assume he knows shit.
@@highhat5229 100 years? You already have weed with 2 month growth cycles.
I love Tommy Chong, but he is 100% dead wrong on weed today not being any stronger than weed back in the 60s and 70s. - Sincerely, an Oaksterdam University Cannabis Cultivation Alumni.
exactly, selective breeding and improved growing quality with better lights/nutrients give a more potent final product.
Prove you've smoked weed from the 60's, 70's or even the 80's so we know you have have first hand experience to be able to make a comparison.
Tru ,even the stuff he was spewing about the seeds 😂 acting like weed doesn't grow without em ..man he is a dead head
Today's weed is much, much stronger, but better?C-Bo "Gold Bud" is the best high this guy ever had.And that was 40 yrs ago!

Tommy Chong knows wtf he's talking about...
Hello!
67 year old Mimi here…we had EXCELLENT weed in the 70’s yes Ty sticks, the buds…simply exquisite!
My dad was told me too tho back in his teenager he still find it even in Bangkok we call Dai Dang or in english ‘Red thread or Red yarn it was memorable weed in Thailand . Now Thailand has a shitty weed like Mexican weed that Chong say have all that seed , stump but it dirt cheap and easy to find it really harsh and dry ,quality not consistence like if you need smoke smoothly you gonna mix with tobacco that really harmful but it get the job tho lol
Really good for you to have that tho . Keep on growing i really want to try that once in my life .
The thc levels would have never reached over like 10% unless he won the genetic lotterly.
Yea right lmaooo🤣🤣🤣

Nope.
@@MinistryInside These people are stuck on some nostalgia trip. Not only is good bud much much easier to find nowadays but the THC content is has improved drastically. You will never be able to convince these old timers that weed is better now. The quality of weed they are talking about they got once a while and it really stuck out. Now you can get better shit anywhere and people are taking it for granted.
What people still don’t understand is that landraces are still pretty much the backbone of the genetics we have now in 2021. I had a friend back in the early ‘80s that occasionally got ahold of Acapulco Gold and all it took was a pin joint between the two of us to feel the effects.
You used the key word landrace . Real landrace like Ethiopian and Afghan and columbian red n gold plus the hindu citral stuff . Real landrace .
I can lead you in the right direction for old school seed.
Thank you Mr. Chong. I had almost forgotten the time we were smoking "Afgan Black" Hash sitting in Elizabeth Park while listening to (and quoting word for word) "Cheech and Chong's Up in Smoke" and falling out of the car trying to get out. GOOD TIMES! Thank you for the MANY MANY years of laughs.
We’ll said , tolerance as well.
Late 80’s 90’s weed was the best smelling ,crystallized Stoney buds ever no contest
100 percent fact no cheese like old school cheese
I agree and the black hash you could buy was crazy good, and plentiful in 80s 90s now it's all repressed garbage! Also the buds then just seemed to hit harder especially if you could get the good Laser lettuce aka hydro!
Good one lol
I did like Kind, white rhino, AK-47, fruity pebbles and especially train wreck from that era. That was one of the most innovative times in the history of domestic production here in the United States.
Ah, Thai stick. Brings back fond memories. And dates me.
Remember that really seedy Columbia Gold that tasted like Hash and how it would Expand in your lungs.. the high was one of the best
Yeah, the flavor was like no other, including today! All those great strains, the golds, Hawaiians, early Nor Cal, all those flavors & smells are gone. I'd take those again over any of these, mine is the highest thc of all bud! I know all you millennials are going to say bs, but trust me on this it not some made up story.

strongest pot I ever smoked was Columbian Gold Bud! You had to pick your favorite chair first because that's where you were gonna be for a long time! lol
Yes Sir you got that right
that shit was awesome!

The hash was good too, sometimes a lottery, but red seal, gold seal, soap bar , some crumbly ,some tar’y .
Stay away from GA weed...got it
you just got used to it
alcohol hit me better the first time too
I think it’s just that more people are buying basic shit from Cali and Oregon growers at a discount then sending it back home.
You can keep the skunky weed of today. I'd love to have some good old fashioned mellow Columbian Gold bud from the 70s! There was nothing like it!
You pick 😊
Steve o is killing the game in his sobriety love seeing you do your thing steve o
Weed is for sure way stronger than back in the day, simply because equipment and technology now is more advanced.
You know how old heads are
Back then we weren't using much phosphorus for nutes
I agree to some extent, but because weed is becoming much more mainstream and stronger weed strains are getting in the streets to the common smoker, but back in the day I believe they had some real strong weed like we have today it was just harder to get your hands on.
Well outdoor is outdoor
Weeds like hot peppers... selective breeding can increase potency, I think there’s flower at 40% thc now.
Holy shit seriously! I had no idea it had opium on it... I smoked so much of that shit! No wonder I'm so brain dead today. Lol
I think you're correct, cos I smoked a lot of weed in Thailand 20 years ago and it was all total dogshit. It will be the same genetics as back then, just with no opium.

@@peejm1424 LOL whoopsy
