Awesome video Jim! Glad you liked our tool! Very close attention to detail here! There's a few of us who run this channel, but this comment is coming from Arrow's videographer right now. I'd like to address your comment about the screws in the back. I've had a lot of experience with our tools creating videos for them, but I am NOT a product manager here, so please take this comment with a grain of salt: To the best of my knowledge, we haven't had any customer complaints about the RT188M jamming. I've used it a lot and I've never had any problems. Some of our other models will jam occasionally, but this design seems to be jam-proof from what I can tell. So there really shouldn't be any need to remove the screws from the back. If you do, you'll see that the riveter is designed in a way where you can't really access too many of the parts from the back. So if you really needed to get to the inner parts, you'd have to also pop off the e-style snap rings on the sides and remove the bolts, which WILL cause minor damage to the tool. So we DO NOT recommend taking your RT188M apart. Again, there really shouldn't be any reason to take it apart in the first place. If your tool does jam please let us know right away, either here on UA-cam, or by contacting our customer service team: arrowfastener.com/awesome/contact/ Hope this was helpful! Again, thank you for your interest in our products! This was a great review! Would love to see more from you!
Thank you for the detailed information, Actually did a You tube video explaining what you talked about, I will NOT try taking it apart, I can see it would do damage to the rivet gun Here is the video ua-cam.com/video/L_DXG-EpGBk/v-deo.html
@@JimMcLaren1950 I agree with you Jim. I bought RT188M from Home Depot and the very first mandrel got stuck. Then I got it replaced for another one and even that had the same problem. And disassembly seems like a lot of pain. So I will go with RH 200
beautiful tutorial, on the min 7:21 you can hear the ratchet action, not all riv guns have it, especially when more leverage is needed at the end of the pop out.:)
How is it now? After 2 years, bcoz its been getting some negative reviews on Amazon lately. Cant use it outside, the mechanism inside stops grabbing the shank or the spring breaks or jams.
@@JimMcLaren1950 oh, what model and what is your opinion on it? I was just gonna close my eyes and buy a manual hydraulic one by huck i think off Amazon. Idk how to weld so $300 for a rivet gun should be good.

You're accent is very interesting. At first I thought you were from Wisconsin but as I kept listening, I thought maybe it's an Irish regional accent. 🤔 Care to comment?
After this wonderfully informative video I ran out and bought a vintage BOSTIK rivet gun 🤣thanks Jim
Welcome , yes the vintage Bostik worked well in this video.
Great video- Thanks for doing this!
Your welcome Dave. Thanks for posting.

Never use this Arrow gun switched to a different arrow rivet gun.

he's Canadian, majority have that accent
He’s huffing and puffing like a walrus running up hill. You still managed to catch an accent?
Good on you. 👍🏻
Waste of time does everything but actually use the gun
I do use the gun 6:40.
