Your videos are on point. You don't waist ant time getting to the goods. Thank you so much.
Excellent, attention to detail, explanation all the way through the problem. I just Subscribed. Good job on the Video
Great video. Informative and straight to the points.
Very good video bro soon as I get home ima try checking everything
Wow 👏 such a great video! Thanks for the info
Super on-point video. I only subscribe to the best - and you're one of 'em!
Took my 2019 4runner to the mech and with the codes he thought it was purge valve. I tested the valve and it opens and closes so could it still be bad?
Thank you for the info!
How come on a 2010 tacoma it has more then one charcoal filter? I've seen two so far
Hi. Great video. Thank you. I am getting P0441, 455 and 456 on a 2007 Tundra 5.7 4x4. Would that series of codes lead you in a particular direction for the cause? Thanks so much!
Great educational content!
Thanks
great video
You are the best
Hi I have multiple codes and was wondering if you’ve gotten this many codes at once and if so how you went about fixing it?
P0441
P0446
P0455
C1201
C1223
C1241
If it's a blown fuse which one is it?
So I had the check engine light on and the VSC light. Code given was P0455. I changed out the purge valve and there was still a code. So I disconnected the battery and reconnected it , warning lights are gone but now my 4runner is idling super low and stalls out. What do you think?
Did you figure it out why it was idling low?
Very well explained sir. How come you know so much about these Toyota sensors?
They vary but I recommend to only use OEM sensors rather than after market.
Thanks for the great info! I recently had to take out the supercharger intake manifold on my 2012 Toyota Tundra to replace a knock sensor wire harness that was chewed through by mice. The bolts of that intake manifold are an absolute bitch to get to. When I put the manifold back onto the intake I did not bother to replace the intake gaskets since they appeared to be in good shape. When I bolted the supercharger back on I was not able to get to a few of the bolts well enough to torque them down to spec. Now I'm getting P0455 (evap emission sys leak detected - large leak) P0441 code (evap emission sys incorrect purge flow). is it possible that now I have a leak coming from a loose/leaking intake gasket to cause these codes?
Usually, an intake leak will cause the engine to idle badly or give other codes. I would use a smoke machine to see if there was a leak. A lot of mechanics will start the engine and use a spray like WD-40 to spray around the leak location to see if the engine idle changes. If the engine idle changes, then there is a leak.
@@HVAC_Mechanic Awesome, thanks for additional info. I'll keep investigating using the WD-40 trick!
What’s up man, quick question. After looking at your video the first thing I looked at was the gas cap and low and behold that the cap wasn’t tightened. I guess in my haste I didn’t screw it all the way tight. Now that I fully screwed it in should my check engine light disappear?? Thanks for the video.
I can totally imagine some mechanic screwing the cap tight, then telling me a big crazy lie about how he had fix this and that and then hand me a huge bill. Glad I found your video.
If the vehicle was manufactured before 2010, it can be cleared with a scan tool or by removing the battery cable. Many automotive stores will also clear codes for free. If it was manufactured after 2010, a Drive Cycle will need to be done before the code completely clears. Each vehicle has a different Drive Cycle which can be Googled to see what needs to be done. Usually, just driving around for 1-2 weeks will clear it, but if it needs to be cleared sooner, Google to see what the computer needs done.
@@HVAC_Mechanic Hey, thanks a bunch.
What does this mean (Evaporative Emission System
Incorrect Purge Flow)
Mine ticks I replaced
Where or which fuse should I check
So would you get the same code for an evap canister as you would for a faulty gas cap or anything else?
The charcoal canister has codes, but if there is a leak, it can be anywhere.
@@HVAC_Mechanic so if you get a code for the canister it could be a faulty hose & not the canister itself?
@@ro-landocalrissian4633 Always follow the codes, if there is a canister code it will need to be tested, if there is an EVAP leak code check for a leak.
@@HVAC_Mechanic it says “Gross Leak”
@@HVAC_Mechanic turned out to be the sensor only..
Had the code
1.need my gas cap replaced, haven’t replaced it
2. Poor gas efficiency
3. The car rough idles or jerks when accelerating
4. Now the car won’t start
Toyota Camry 2004 xle. And suggestions ?
The only component in the EVAP system that affects how the engine runs is if the purge valve is stuck open.
@@HVAC_Mechanic So the purge valve can affect the car from starting ?
If the purge valve is stuck open, the motor will usually start, but depending on the vehicle, it can run rough and cause issues. I would look for another code or something else causing the problem, but if it's an EVAP problem, the purge valve is the only component that can affect the engine.
Overfilled my gas tank and 20 miles later this popped up.
What have you done to fix it?
@@temoalbiso6077 cleared it with a code reader and drove around. I understand it will clear on its own after you drive it a little.
I’m getting the p0455 and p0441 codes any help ?
I would test the purge valve and check for an EVAP leak.
I have the same thing. Just happened after I filled my tank. I changd gas cap and still have check engine. Fuse seems fine as well and the hoses I can see appear to be fine.
@@Satray01 same man , I even went to the Toyota dealership to get a new gas cap thinking that was the problem and came back on
@threelionseng what fuse would that be? Engine or cabin box?
Hey guys, I have the same 2 codes. P0441 & P0455... did you figure it out?
I just got
P0441
P0455
What happens if you don't fix it
It's usually nothing; it just will not pass an emission test. If the purge valve is stuck open, it can sometimes affect how the engine runs.
Real question is, is this going to be expensive ??
You could replace almost every part in this for under $100
The leak detection pump is around $300.
