This is exactly how I run my city's as well. I had to learn the hardway a few years ago. I just re-installed the gane here in 2024 and can't wait to start a region from scratch again. Awesome job explaining this process.
Trading is the most powerful tool you have for making money, and if you export the most lucrative items aka electronics and TVs and computers you can rake in billions. I'm glad you enjoy this trick I show....just a bit sad that city tiles are not bigger.
Great tip to earn money fast. Love it! Thanks. Now I can use the rest of the space just for fun, amusement parks, casinos, or just one huge Central Park 😄
Very true. Would you like me to make a simcity video series and show how to specialize in all of the different ways to specialize, and show off all the cool headquarters and make a massive region with 16 cities?
Hey man, I'm also a fan of the game, in fact running my own gameplay on YT, good job with your electronics hub! Just a tip: the correct ratio is 1 processor factory to 2 consumer electronics' ; make sure they're always staffed with skilled workers to have them run at peak efficiency!
I've played simcity since it came out, and I've never been able to supply the consumer electronics factory with less than 2 .... What I've experienced over the years is that it takes 1.3 processor factories to supply just one consumer electronics... The other .7 is what you get to export. In the video I have 4 processors to 3 consumer electronics
@@TheDragonhawkKnights Try give it a go with my way though, cause I'm 100% sure I'm correct: you need to be REALLY sure you're staffing them with skilled workers, could be what you're missing to run them properly. Check for the tech level overlay for that. As a double check, it makes sense math wise: a processor factory at peak efficiency produces 9600 crates of processors per day; a consumer electronics factory at peak efficiency consumes 4800 crates of those same processors per day: exactly half. So 1 processor's to 2 consumer's.
Hey i get it you have a deeper understanding of how the simulation works. However, as an added challenge just balance the hourly budget while you are making billions. Win Win
Lowering taxes for faster growth is worth more than a balanced budget. Unfortunately this guide involves unlocking electronics... its not a trick its literally intended
@@TheDragonhawkKnights I only mention that because you need to unlock electronics and it can be a bit too costly to get into early in a game. The title of the video seemed more like a quick Jumpstart guide, but once you have 10 million to donate I think you're good already
@@Phnxkon I've started all my cities like that. And when you start a city in a new quadrant of the map where no other cities are you can't transfer money between them, that's why I chose that square to show what's it's like when you're just starting out brand new. Getting into technology in simcity 5 is super easy, and once you have your first processor factory you can export for huge gains to get the money to set up the next one and it just ramps up from there exponentially... Then you can build whatever you want. Just wish we could make bigger cities and not ugly super tall mega towers...oh wait, that's why I play cities skylines
I got a fancy $2500 super fast gaming computer for xmas on sale for $1500 on Boxing Day so I cant wait to play this again. My old computer was too slow to play this game, now its super fast.
That's cool you got a new computer! My Alienware is now a few years old and it was a massive improvement over what I was using previously. I'll return to SimCity in the future, you can count on it - I'm just going to put Final Fantasy up first. awesome content would love to see an update on this build with something in the empty space. Question, wouldn't the city bring in more if it was only computers being built?
Ok first off I’m only five mins into your video and when you said you play wow and sims I subscribed. I know this video is a year old but I’m confused why it seems different then mind. I restarted a new sims five days ago, I’m going to continue now watching but you bought upgrades to sims. Lol never heard of it, ok yours is SimCity 2013 and mine is SimCity build it. No such thing now as SimCity 2013. Darn
@@TheDragonhawkKnights Every year around this time a content creator returns to an older Sim City game. Even the activity online on this game picks up as well.
Well that's the one thing I never did in simcity 2013....I never built a city with all town hall upgrades.... The largest city I ever built only had 350,000 people.....and it takes 600,000 to unlock the final town hall upgrade to the last addition to the domed tower that appears at the 90,000 resident town hall. I never did that

Thanx my city was 25k in debth and i didnt know ho to make money from it so now i get 800k per day extra
You're very welcome
What a great tip! i will be using this in tons of cities!
You get so much profit you could literally just use megatowers as homes!
great job!

The cost of processors is such that you need to produce those too otherwise your profits aren't as high
As for a simcity series, it'll happen eventually just don't know when

Why don't I make my next project be one of simcity and start from scratch?
Show ppl how to do it?
Little silly saying "new city" with a developed region lol. "Just infuse it with a quick 10m"
You totally missed the point of why I made this video
