In today's episode (part 1) we begin a brand new region and a brand new city in SimCity. I'll share some tips and strategies to have a successful start.
I love this game and have never played it on my channel, so I'm excited for this series. SimCity is a great way for me to unwind and I thought it would be fun to record and share with you along with some tips and my approach to starting a successful city.

I'm 63 and my husband is 65 we both find these video's VERY helpful. I am so glad they are here because I really messed up my first city and was trying to figure out how to do different things.

Sim city is an incredibly good game, the biggest short coming is the map sizes sadly. Nice video, brings back memories

I'm glad to see folks still playing this game and creating tutorials. I just picked it up since it was on sale and have been enjoying it immensely.
Why, though, are you charging low wealth people higher taxes than high wealth people? I tend to go the opposite way and have been charging (from low wealth to high), something like 9%, 10%, and 11%. Even then they will complain periodically about the high taxes. 😅
Glad you are enjoying the game. I have the taxes set at a rate that the simulation regards as neither too high or too low. Both will cause residents to complain or even move out. 10% high wealth, 11% medium and 12% low causes neutral reactions while generating the highest tax income. I have a tutorial on taxes.

OMG, you are my hero! I'm playing this game since I'm 20 but I never got any success with it! I recently bought it for my iMac. I watched your videos and it helped me a lot until my iMac froze yesterday... I'm sad because everything was going well for once but I can't wait to play again! Just hoping that I will be able to pick up my iMac today! Happy holidays! Thank you so much for your kindness...it's amazing to watch you and finally understand what the game is.... LOL

Early stage of builing city is heaven..late game is a headache. Everytime.
Easiest specialization is gambling.and yes need other cities too to support each other.
I enjoy the early stages of the building process.
Gambling profits fluctuate with the time of day. I usually blend gambling with other tourism related attractions.

may i ask how you get the buildings to show the number of workers it needs/current workers are there? it would be really helpful to see rather then guessing that my factories are full. is it like a setting or. .
Click on the building. It will show you how many workers for each wealth level. Building doesn't have to be full to operate. I'll do a quick video and post for you.

Traffic is not really an issue. I’m set with how to control the flow up to 100k ppl.
My problem is 🩸 money left and right.
Education, fire, police, and med do me in every time.
My major problem is trash to consumer electronics. The map size doesn’t seem to support, recycling ♻️ center, dumps, trade ports, electronics factories, & HQ.
How fast are you growing your city? I go slowly and add a service when I feel somewhat confident I'll be able to afford it.
The city map size is small. Try to spread it out over 2 or more city plots.

Hi, great video! At 17:38 minutes of video, you show the number of individuals a factory needs to function. My game doesn't show it. Would you know why and how can I fix it?
For some reason it doesn't always show that. Fortunately, it's not critical information.

How do you get those figures of how many low wealth/medium wealth and high wealth people should be working in a building?
Click on the building. It will show you how many workers for each wealth level. Building doesn't have to be full to operate. I'll do a quick video and post for you.

why the version of your simcity shows specific wealth jobs in every building? I have deluxe edition but it doesn't have that and I want it like yours. Hehe may I know how?
It doesn't always show that info. Not sure why. Fortunately it's not critical information since it changes each game day.

how do roundabouts help when not one way?
Multiple road connections are possible and by spreading the traffic out.
One way would be awesome but this is what we have to work with.

Tried my copy this morning, couldnt even read it, had it on high settings..An i tried to lower it to 1200 but it was just a mess ot read..
Set it to medium. That's my setting.

Just found you and I’m excited to,try some of your ideas, but I do have a question…when you click on thing like fire station and clinic, I see options available to you that don’t show for me. Do I need to play in the public sim world thing? I hope that makes sense.

I plan on doing futuristic cities at some point. I'll let you know when I do. Also, create a city that's just about profit. Then send funds to other cities so you don't go broke.

Go to EA app on your PC or get the app. Should be able to get SimCity that way.

You should play. I still love it after alll these years. Set up or go to your Origin account. You can purchase and download from there.
