Increasing gain doesn't increase the sonar cone angle and make it wider...If that was the case, there wouldn't be a need for all the different 9° 12° 18° 20° cone angle transducers. Increasing the gain increases sensitivity of the sonar. It does not increase cone angle as this guy portrays.
