Gaps in the fence will indeed help provide relief from the wind, the same concept that helps bamboo huts in SE Asia & the south pacific survive typhoons, allowing much of the wind to blow t-h-r-o-u-g-h.
😂Adam Thanks for making me nearly fall on my butt in uproarious laughter 31 seconds in when you say “right on the other side of this fence are my neighbors who i absolutely hate.”🤣Ditto over here where i am!! 💥🤬💥 I saved your 1st vid (prototype) since it was “perfect” for a low budget and simple enough for a peace and privacy loving old lady to cobble together. Still haven’t built it yet. I plan to do my 1st section before northeast summer begins & I end up wearing headphones indefinitely. I need to buy a new industrial sized fan for blowing away the cretin(s) nasty smoke/exhaust fumes so I’ll likely use some pallet wood for a portion of my fence to save $ for a new cretin control fan. Thanks again for your excellent vid!
That fence costs a might but I reckon it'll last a while! Maybe shoulda spaced those boards a little wider every so often and ya could got a .22 barrel through there to take care of varmints. (if ya know what I mean 😏 ) Good to see ya, Adam. I thunk about you once in a white and wonder about yer progress.
I forgot to mention in the video it costs about $200 per 8' section. I've tried to build tall fences for less out here, but all of them have ended up breaking within a few years or less. The wind is just an absolute beast on these hills.
Ahh,the ever appreciated, perfectly positioned "That's what she said" always good for a laugh, keep doing what you do best, there's always the risk of that pesky neighbor, but they can't live forever 🎉🎉
Oh, no. Far from it. I'll have two more videos about the roof coming out soon, and then I just have to save money for a long time to pay for doors and cladding.
Geez, it's a valid problem, the constantly barking dogs, robs your peace for sure, my concern would be the neighbor that lets their pack of dogs run free and terrorize everyone.
You must know my neighbors! Either that or you're omniscient, because you hit the nail on the head. I honestly don't know which one is worse: Being kept awake all night by nonstop yapping dogs; or having to breakup fights between large boxers, pit bulls, labs, etc... I've called the cops and animal control more times than I can remember. They're perfunctory at best - no offense to any LEOs out there. There's just not much they can do about it.
@@arizonaadam3000 There's an area in showlow,Apache county, you can barely get through one road because dogs are free,it's worrisome to buy land up there because this pack of dogs have quite a reputation, I love animals but if they came on my property, it's a shovel and a Smith and Wesson.
@@herekitty6309 Yeah, I hear that... and I've seen exactly what you're talking about. Not the same folks but similar situations. I feel bad for the delivery drivers who have to go to spots like that.

I didn't know that. Cool! Thanks for sharing.

Thank you! Glad I made you laugh. Good luck with your fence and your lousy neighbors! Fingers crossed for you that they move someday.

Haha, thank you, and very true. I literally eat pounds of fruits and vegetables every day while telling myself, "I'll out live 'em all! Muahaha!"
Are you finish with the house.

How tall is the fence. It looks nice. We have been fencing out are neighbors also. .
8 feet
Thanks. 8'.
