I watched both videos... I'm glad you're going to make a complete recovery!! That's awesome and I hope your insurance comes through big time for you! :) (Also glad the dog is ok!)
A friend of mine told me after my snakebite that certain Native American tribes believe that if you are bitten by a snake and survive that you have healing powers because you healed yourself. I am glad that you are okay. I am still not okay. I have permanent damage. And I freak out every time I see a snake or anything that vaguely looks like a snake. I got bit in 1985. My hospital bill was $1,000 and I was there for 45 minutes. The doctor gave me a tetanus shot and said he thought I stepped on barbed wire. Then he sent me home with the statement " If you live the next 11 hours you will be okay". I know I was snake bit because I looked down and I was still standing on its tail. It was poised to bite again. I got a very good look at it. Be thankful that you got antivenom. It saved you a lot of pain and damage. Again, I really am glad you are okay.
That was absolutely adorable ❤. I just had a debate about online bullies yesterday. I will never understand it. How a human being can just be so heartless and ridiculously mean. I am sorry you have to go through that.
Glad you're ok! Watching your videos has me seriously second guessing if I want to build on my land in Cochise County (Willcox). I've been planning on a build like you've done on my 5 acres but this has me freaked out. I guess my question is should I let being afraid of snakes keep me out of living in Arizona? Is there anything you plan on doing to hinder snakes from getting near your house? Has your experience made you question if you still want to live there? thanks for telling your story.
Good questions. So, first I should say, what happened to me is quite rare and extreme. Most people get bitten by walking in or near tall grass, and the envenomation is typically as severe. In fact, one of my nurses told me she was bitten that way on her ankle a year prior. It wasn't as bad for her. Also, I hate to say this, but if I didn't have a dog, I don't think I would have ever been bitten. Most of the snake encounters I've had over the years have been dog related - walking my dogs, letting them run around the property, etc... If you're truly terrified of snakes - and I don't blame you if you are - then rural AZ is not a good place to live. You WILL encounter rattlesnakes just about every summer. The only proactive thing you can do to keep them away is to install snake fencing. A physical barrier is the only thing that works. Don't fall for anything else they're selling at the store, or home remedies, so to speak. They don't work, and they leave you with a false sense of security. Later this year - perhaps in a month or two - I plan on starting a series called, "What it's really like..." Now that I have almost 6 years of experience, I'd like to talk about the realities of building your own house, living in a tiny house, living off grid, and so on.... You might want to wait until I drop those vids before you make a final decision. Best of luck to you either way!
Screw the haters. The bills will be shocking. They will hurt a lot longer than the bite. Thank god for anti-venom. Glad you are doing so well. Best wishes from NH. Like your glasses by the way.
Amount charged: $31k. Amount insurance allows: 10 bucks I wouldnt think you gained snake powers but you can probably communicate with horses now, as blood brethren or something.
Good Adam!! I notice you're watchin' the ground you're walkin' on!! Now that's being, "Snake Power Beware"!! Congrats on progress towards recovery by the way. When the bills come in hot & heavy, ya outta set up one of them, "Go Fund Me" accounts so we can chip in. There may be more folks watchin' than you can image!! It's the Internet Dude!!
Adam, I'm one of your haters. It's because you are already living on your property and I am still in the process of getting it together. 😉 Though I am getting closer. I think I found a contractor (I'm 70 and not gonna build my own house) so that's looking up. Seriously, I'm glad I found yer channel and enjoy the content and attitude. BTW: With your new super powers don't go to Vegas. Snake Eyes is a losing roll. 🤣

@@arizonaadam3000 man they hurt wayyyy more than a normal bee or wasp, the ones that were by joints like on my knees, and right on my Heel (they legit went in my shirt and down my boots and all dude and chased me 100+ feet) it was hella hard to get em all off I had to basically run and strip, that can actually be pretty dangerous right? A big swarm.) so I was just walking and stepped over a pile of rotting logs at a park, I was herping, I think I accidentally stepped by their nest or something but anyway, the stings by my joints and on my ear and face literally hurt full force for 5 hours straight unrelenting till I went to sleep, didn’t let up at alll I was Suprised how bad I was hurting, it hurt to walk. For my body weight I did the math and estimated I got not quite 1/3 fatal dose of venom but almost 1/3

No. I'm still waiting on that company to work things out with my insurance.
Such an awful painful experience. It did not kill you so of course you are stronger. Thanks for sharing your sense of humor.

The answer to that is technically yes because if you got bit again you wouldn’t even have to be treated. Because at least for a time you are immune.

Yeah, I'm okay. Thanks for asking. I had to step away from UA-cam for a while to take care of some other things in life. I'll be back very soon.
