I used to worry that decisions I’ve made have “ruined God’s plan.” But my friend told me it’s TOTALLY arrogant to think I have that power over God and that’s helped so much
Claire Walker And going even further: God is not surprised by our mistakes, or even limited by them. Your mistakes don’t disqualify you. God will always always always work out good in your life, especially what He has planned. He does give us choice, yes. But His power and love are so limitless that no mistake can thwart His divine plan. Your mistakes may make you take a few bumps in the road, but God’s perfect plan for your life will always stand. Lean into His love, goodness, and mercy, which flow without end.
Thank you for this. Ever since I became a Sem student, I have been attacked more readily with panic and anxiety over dying and leaving my family behind. Could use the prayers. On the flip side, I'm seeing the heart behind your worry, and from a previous video, I know that your daughter just started college, so you have my prayers too.
Thank you Pastor for sharing. As someone who recently started experiencing anxiety or excessive worry, it is comforting especially during those difficult moments to remember God's love and care for me.
Jesus says, "Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom." Luke 12:32 Our God wants to give to us; He wants to care for us; He wants to bless. He loves us as a Father. We don't have to prove that we're perfect; we don't have to "make the team." We're free to not worry.
I really like your videos. Both doctrinally sound and very practical. I've listened to another Lutheran Chris Rosebrough on here before and while I agree with most of what he says, over time the constant stream of rebutting false teachers can get tiring. You lift my spirit though! Thank you! Although, as a Baptist minister I'm sure I would disagree with you on some points, but keep doing Kingdom work, brother!
Johann Gerhard, my favorite theologian, and one everyone should read, liked to quote the following from St. Bernard of Clairveux: "When you ask God for something, you are guaranteed to get either what you want or what is best for you." (my paraphrase.) So strive for what you want, and expect the best (either yours or God's) because that is what God promises His children. Football (American) is a great analogy; you could be about to lose, after striving all afternoon, and then, in an instant, be running back a fumble or interception for the last-second win. Always Be Repenting and Trusting (in Christ Jesus) because your crown is waiting for you!
Hate to be that guy, but Jesus didn't "Mix metaphors" . Jus sayin. Verse of the day: 3 Corinthians 1: 1-3 A letter of Paul to the Corinthians, Having a great time wish you were here; and as I sign some of my letters, Hakuna Matata!…
Thanks for pointing out that worry and responsibility are not actually correlated
“We think worry is the same as responsibility” soooo true.
There is so much comfort in those words.
"The Father wants us to be saved more than we do"

Claire Walker And God certainly can and does use our mistakes and shortcomings to accomplish His good and gracious will! It’s very comforting.

I have anxiety and depression. This sermon is so consoling. Thank you
"When faith leaves, worry comes in...." A lot to meditate on here!
If your Born Again faith does not leave. Once your saved your saved.
@@barbfriggin8796 that’s not true at all
A much needed lesson. Worry causes much sin, thank you for reminding us that there is no reason to worry and every reason to rejoice.

Your statement about feeling like God is reluctantly letting us be on the team was so accurate for me!
Encouraging. Thank you.
Good stuff
Thank you Pastor. God's peace be with you
Needed to hear that stuff. Thanks.

When faith leaves worry comes in😗
“Hey don’t worry”=“hey dont work”. “Work is worry-worry is work”
That was an excellent video!!
Thank you
Beautiful message! Thanks for ditchin' the sun glasses... :)

Someone needs to send this to How Ridiculous ;) (make 'em Lutheran!)

Watch out for the Sunday crash home lol
I had no idea you were in town (Austin) until recently ... welcome to Texas.
The only thing I'm truly worried about is what's taking Him so long to pull us out of this demented world of today.
If your lost your sure not saved.
God took our worries from us all if your a True Born Again Believer.
I think seriousness is along those same lines. People think you cant be serious about your faith if you don’t look serious in your face.

You rock the sunglasses. As for me, the use of them does not change the sincerity or connection to your audience.
Someone's been going down the youtube rabbit hole again. Does the Australian accent take you back?
You say you can make these vids and focus on the road... But I think this is the 2nd Sunday drive home I've watched where you've gotten lost. Lol
I get lost every time I drive in this town.

Wear your sunglasses! My eye doc said it's very important to protect you eyes.
