    Great video, love this hat! I am wondering if there is a way to add elastic to the top of this hat pattern?? I have seen a lot of messy bun hats made top - down with elastic but not bottom - up!!

      @CJDesignblog  5 років тому

      No I think it’s just crochet from the top - down, I don’t know how you would be able to do it with knitting 🤔

      Yes you can add elastic! Its the only kind we make. I use a a standard style black hair tie but in the “thick” version. It’s 2-3 times bigger around then a regular sized one. For my 7 year old I use a regular sized one. There’s lots of tutorials on how to add it to hats like this.

    Is the hole large enough to put the beanie on after your hair is already done up?

    can you make this with two regular knitting needles? I am just learning how to knit so that is why I am asking this question. Thank you

    I am curious, what length circular needles are you using? I have a pair of 9mm, 29” and my beanie is coming out bigger than my head.

      9 mm, 16” are the ones I use

    How many rows would you suggest to knit to make it a normal hat (instead of a messy bun hat).
    Thank you very much!!! Xxx

      Go to sheep and stitch and she has one u can do flat but it's measured in inches not rows. About 3in brim and 3in middle before decrease

      for a fitted beanie, 7in (from the last ribbed row). for a slouchy beanie, about 8 or 9in
