I love how you are clear and precise on your directions, and go slowly to where we can see exactly what you are doing. Some tutorials are confusing, but can follow clearly with yours. 😊
Thanks to this easy to follow video, I have manage to make 4 beanies. The first one, I follow all your instructions and it turned out pretty well. For my second one, I decided to close the bun opening and again it turn out better than I thought. The next two, I managed to make them without paying attention to the video, so I'm impress on how easy it has become. Thank you, because your techniques and ways to explain with details without rushing and always patience, has made a crochet lover out of me.
I can’t believe I just made my first hat! Your video made that possible, I’m a visual learner and the way you took me through every row was just what I needed! I used the same yarn as you but it was a dark green and when I try my next one I will definitely use a lighter color so the stitches are easier to work into, the dark color was hard to see but I had it on hand. I downloaded your video because I plan to follow right along with you again. Thank you my dear so much for the time and effort you put into making this video. Now I have a hat that I’m actually kind of proud of! 🌸💗🌸
Your video is very easy to follow so thank you so much for making it. My first hat turned out too big so my second one I will take a few rows out. Luckily I know someone with a big head to give it too. 😂
Yay!!! I love all my CC Messy BUN TOQUES. I'm so happy I saw this on your YV. I crocheted along too, I used Bernat Premium Greens, I ran out of the lighter color, so I continued it with a darker green, coz I'm wearing it for St. PATRICK'S day!! But it still looks cute!! Yay!!
Thanks! Made 2 (closing in the tops and making folding bands at the bottoms) for guys in grey and burnt orange. As soon as I'm done with Christmas gifts I'll make myself one too! Just started crocheting in August and this was super easy to follow.
I have been wanting to make this hat as seen in the stores and was so excited to find it on You Tube. I appreciated that you did this video and shared the pattern for those of us who just love to make practical gifts for people.
Thank you so much just finished this in grey ! So pretty and Ty for doin every single row , instead of telling us to repeat or rewind , This was sooo nice and easy to follow! Thank you very much 💕💕💕
New sub!!!! I've tbos one. Everyone is asking me to make tbis for them., I can not knit and I can not read patterns. Tbis looks almost like the one I wanted. Thank you. I never would had thought to fold thr brim like that
Thank you so much for your tutorial , you made it very easy to do even though I am a beginner in crochet. I finished my cc hat. So happy. Thank you so much!
I've been looking for a cute pattern to make my daughter a messy bun hat, and I think I've found it! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I too love the knitted look of this. At first I thought it was going to be hard to do, just because of the look of it, not knowing the knitted look was due to the 3rd loop of the hdc. You made it look so easy, and now I can't wait to try it! Thanks, again!
I finished my beanie just in time for the end of the Polar vortex and warmer weather. LOL! Great tutorial. I'm going to make some for my daughters so they don't take mine.
Love this video, already made 5 of these adorable CC messy bun beanies. You mentioned the hat instructions too. Can you post the video for the hat please thank you
To close it off into a hat I did: R17-19 same as pattern R20: 1 double crochet, double crochet 2 together, rpt until end of row R21: 1 single crochet, single crochet 2 together, rpt until end of row. R22: double crochet 2 together in every stitch Then weave your yarn through each stitch to sinch closed. Worked out really well for me and still looked like it somewhat kept with the pattern.
I just love how you explain this ,I have been crocheting for a long time but when I find a new pattern I like a detailed slow tutorial like this . Can’t wait to make these Thank you so much Frances xoxo
I was just browsing and came across your video , love what I am seeing and I will definitely give it a try and thanks for also giving the permission to sell things made from this project. Thanks again for everything looking forward to seeing more videos from you soon
До чего же подробно и понятно получается в Вас объяснять,знание языка совершенно не требуется! Большое спасибо!!! What detail and of course it turns out to You to explain the knowledge of language is absolutely not required! Thank you!!!
I'm 28 minutes into your video, making this hat along with you. i just want to mention about you apologizing for being repetitive. I do not find that to be true at all. It's much appreciated when you go through each step the way you do. :)
Just found your channel and subscribed. I love this hat! Thanks for a great tutorial. I'll be making some of these for Christmas presents and one for myself! I'll probably close my beanies up into a full hat for gifts as everyone I exchange gifts with has short hair!
Omg thank you so much for teaching this beanie! I love it my came out beautiful! I was stunned I actually made it!! Thank to you ! Thank you.your a great teacher I'm a newbie ha I did it!!
Thank you so very much for this video, April !! I absolutely love the step by step tutorial!!!! and I totally LOVE this pattern, thank you Tania!! I was so happy with the results!!! thank you, thank you, thank you!!! (big smile) :-)
Maybe it’s the yarn I was using, I was using a worsted that was stiffer than heartland tends to be, but the thicker brim turned out so ugly to me. I ended up having to go back and frog the entire thing and just do shorter rows to keep the single thickness and it looked much better. Wish I’d had known that before starting as it was a lot of time wasted, but otherwise I love how the rest of the hat turned out. So pretty ❤️
LOVE THIS FOR SOOOOO MANY REASONS!!! :) Thank you for putting the time and effort into this video. Very well done!! I'm hitting the subscribe button :)
I think it was you who demonstrated the start stitch on a hat. I love the pattern. I forgot to save and for it with no luck. Help! Thank for your videos
Hello 😊 Already made one hat. Would like to make another with size 3 yarn. In the video it says to get 5 oz of yarn. Curious if you know if it is the same number of ounces with size 3. Thank you for the great video and super cute hat.
Hello! Thanks for the video! I was wondering what yarn brand/color name used for the grey one that you have photographed at the end of the video. Sorry if it’s been asked already, I tried combing through the comments to see. Thank you for the wonderful content :)
Hi, thank you for the beautiful tutorial! Did you use the full skein of yarn? I see yours is 250 yards. I have one that's 215 and was wondering if I'd need to get another. Thank you!
Thank you so much for the beanie and as far as your apology I am so glad that you stayed to the end with me I like it when someone goes from Roll to roll with me that way I don't make no mistakes LOL I love the beanie instead of a messy bun beanie I made it a beanie hat I love it thank you so much hope to see more of you
May I have the yardage for this hat by chance? This is absolutely gorgeous 😊 Your tutorials seem so easy to follow, I just dont want to run out of yarn😍
This video is perfect and your instructions are very clear and easy to follow! I am just finishing bringing the brim together, but I’m confused. When you join with the slip stitch and chain one, does that count as a part of the 76 single crochets you’re supposed to have?
No en te do Nada de ingles pero las pun tadas se veian Muy bien lo are no cave duda que casa dia se aprender Algo nuevo Muchas gracias dios te bendiga Donde quiets que Estes .
I have a question. When you are done with the brim do you finish with a row of slip stitch or after the row oh HDC? 76 would be slip stitch unless you count the chain 16 as row 1.
I’m rather new to beanie making. Can anyone tell me if solid color is best for this pattern? I have a variegated but don’t want to distract from the stitches.
I love how you are clear and precise on your directions, and go slowly to where we can see exactly what you are doing. Some tutorials are confusing, but can follow clearly with yours. 😊

I like that you show all the rows. It’s how we learn.

This video is perfect and your instructions are very clear and easy to follow! I am just finishing bringing the brim together, but I’m confused. When you join with the slip stitch and chain one, does that count as a part of the 76 single crochets you’re supposed to have?
Abby Swistak no that’s why she joins to the first sc and not the chain 1. The chain 1 does not count.
Love making this hat.

Hello on row 18 do you end with 3 SC? and row 19 do you end with SC decrease?
