Just finished this, and watched your video on Jenny’s stretchy bind off. THANK YOU! Finally was able to understand the bind off after watching your video, have tried to do this bind off before and could not “get it” it worked perfectly. Thank You for all of the time you put into you videos.
Great video. You're a good teacher I'm new to knitting after 26 years. I have just made this. It's amazing little hat and super cute. Thanks for the share
This was the first hat I ever made and the first time I ever knit in the round. People ask me where I got my hat and I'm super proud to say I made it. You are an awesome instructor. I did have a few video ideas I would like to mention. :) 1) How to knit a sweater. 2) How to knit a mermaid tail blanket. I haven't knitted anything that requires measuring to fit someone. I am a bit intimidated by the prospect. You have such a fun personality I would love to watch one of your videos that teaches how to fit to size. The mermaid tail blankets are super cute and I think would be a good beginning project to learn to do measurements. Also there isn't a decent knit mermaid tail blanket video on UA-cam yet. Just a thought :) Thank you!!!
I made mine in crochet. Thanks so much for the inspiration. I’m too impatient to knit these days. So I watched your video and made a crochet one. My 10 year old son loved it 💕🙏🏻
@@ExpressionFiberArts its not an awesome as yours. I will make one for me. I wore it this morning and its kept me warm. Thank you for the inspiration. xxx
Super cute video! I think I’ll finish mine with an I cord to use for the cinch part, with a single strand of the same yarn. Love, love , love your modeling and dancing.
Great idea, so useful because of the versatility. I am always a fan of cute, yet useful knitted garments. Thanx for the video, I can't wait to give this a try. You also made me laugh with your dancing. Thanks again.
My dearest I just know the basics and I just love this pattern, which I will give a go at. Love all your (videos) tutorial, thank you for all your gorgeous patterns love them all. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍❤❤❤💐
I am still working on your champagne cowel as my first knit pattern ever (I'm definitely a crochet person) and your videos were the only ones that really worked for me :) also I'm excited because we have the same knitting needles (or close enough to be the same)
thank you for the pattern was looking for one I could knit up in a hurry and this is it!!!!!!!! keep up the good work .....you 're great !!!! ...............peace..........
Just learned how to knit from your channel and made my first matching set of winter hat and scarf. Forever thankful for your channel. I entered your July-august 2017 giveaway and am hoping to win the yarn so I can create more projects from your channel. Thank you so much❤️
I love your videos and I have learned so much from your beginner videos. I would love a tutorial on how to use double point needles, I'm so clueless on how to use them. Thank you.
Hi, I am quite new to knitting and in fact learnt knitting from your youtube videos. I am excited to try making this but my yarn’s recommended needle size is 5.5cm and if i were to use double yarn which needle size should i use?? Please kindly advise..
I love this pattern! It is so practical. Would an i-cord work in place of a chain stitch chord? I also just love watching your videos, even when the patterns are way above my skill-set. You are such a positive influence. Thank you, for all that you do! 🌞
On my third try, I finally got the hole thing, its perfect. The elastic bind off left me in the dark as I've never heard of that tape. Looked it up on you tube and found several to do without flare without the tape you mentioned. But found out I couldn't do it in the round. Finally just binded off regular and it's fine, mainly cause the 60 cast ons are usually too big for my head. A little more explanation on that would have been nice. All's well, love my beanie, thank you!
Hey Chandi! That is an awesome project, great as a gift. Do you think you could do a tutorial on knitted metered squares please? I saw a really blanket that uses them but love your tutorials. Thanks, Miss Bee
Can you use this same pattern but knit on straight needles? I'm a skilled beginner knitter, but I have had sooo much trouble knitting in the round! So I adapt the patterns for straight needles as often as I possibly can.
Could you do a video for a hat or another project that involves cables? I know you have your tutorial but it would be great to see how it works on a full project. Love your channel and inspiring life! Warmest regards, Natasha x
You are so cute! Love watching your videos..instructions are easy to follow! I would love to make a bag..or knitted hat with brim..easy beginner..thank you 😀
Hello chandi i am going to make this hat..have a couple of questions? Is this a one size fits all? Do you need to measure around your head and that will determine how many cast on? How long did you make your chain( the drawstring) for this hat..
Yes, it is a one size fits all pattern, but it can be easily customizable. All of the details for the pattern can be found here: blog.expressionfiberarts.com/2017/04/19/how-to-knit-a-4-in-1-ponytail-messy-bun-hat-easy-and-quick/

Cute Mango How long did it take you to complete it? I'm having trouble with it I finally got pass the second row K2, YO, SSP but I'm having trouble with row 3 now. I just can't seem to win for losing.
Hi Chandi, is there any reason why I couldn’t make this in stockinette with ribbed brim? It would be for a 10 year old who wears a lot of ponytails and buns but wouldn’t be using it as a cowl. Thanks!
I am a beginner and this was by far once of the easier to understand and accomplish. Thank you so very much.

Yes, you should be able to knit this flat fairly easily, and then seam it together.
@@ExpressionFiberArts Thanks for the response! I'm so excited that you figured this out (and shared it with the world)!

It looks great with US 11 needles! What size crochet hook would be best? Thank you!
Could you do more videos on spinning and dyeing please Love all of your other ones
Thank you for posting this wonderful pattern...Love it!
Would you show us how to knit socks? It is great to see you again, I hope you are doing well, and thanks for the video! 😁
We hope to do that in the future!
What is the. purpose of using double yarn? Will it give the same effect to use a thicker yarn?
yes!
If you don’t have thick yarn by using double it’s the same. I made mine in single thread and it came out great

Hello, can this be done with smaller needles? Like maybe size 10?
Absolutely!
Can you use 1 strand of super bulky or chunky weight yarn?
That would work! 💕
I love this pattern.
Thank you so much!
you can use a shoe buckle lace blocker to make the hat adjustable
Just found your channel. Subscribed.

Absolutely not!
Where is the stretchy bind off pattern? THANK YOU
Hi Julie, thanks for your question. Here it is: ua-cam.com/video/_uE8DOk1nl4/v-deo.html 💕
can this be done with just one thread or does it have to be knit with two together?
It can certainly be done with one thread!
Thank you very much. By-the-way I did knit it, and used a novelty yarn and lost track of knits and purls and did a seed stitch
@@carmenrivera-rodriquez9603 Yes, that can happen sometimes. You are very welcome!
Could you use this same pattern with thinner yarn?
Sure! You just need to get gauge. 💕
Great pattern😊
Can you you use straight needles doing this first time knitter
You sure can. You just have to seam up the sides. 🌸
very cute pattern.
If I am using bulky yarn do I just use one strand?
That would certainly work. ❤️
Thank you so much, I am just learning how to knit (you are teaching me😄) and I have to say I am loving it!
I have never seen someone cast on that way....that is how I always do it. lol
Awesome!
How would I make it reversible?
is it fine to use 8mm needles but cast on 60 sts still
If ever in doubt, do a swatch and see what you get first. ; )
Do you have a crochet version
Not currently! But we hope to have one in the works!
I went on your blog to find this pattern but... I couldn't find it??
Thanks for bringing that to our attention. We will take care of it!
Can't wait to try this, ty
