There are two announcements in the intro of this video! Thus, pay heed! Later, I don't want to hear complaints that _I didn't let you guys know._ If I get enough funds ready for the end of the month, that trip is definitely happening!!! For now?! I am still recovering from paying taxes for the Channel... D:
Hope you all have been slaying fish! Tight lines & FISH ON!
@@junodisarapong6635 I appreciate the suggestion.
Glad to see you chose Texas
Actually, it was a result of a poll that I did here on YT in February. Austin, TX beat Denver, CO by 5% only. Lol.
@@extremephillyfishing yeah I remember I voted Texas excited to see the outcome videoa
Extreme Philly Fishing
Hi my friend please helping me identify fish
My favorite sound to hear: “heyyy what’s up UA-cam, Leo Shang here, host of the extreme philly fishing channel!”
Same 😂
My Friday night 🌙 is complete now that EPF posted a video!! 😊
Philadelphia: Multi-species
Alabama: *Interspecies*
Hey EPF thanks for teaching me about American fish species as in Australia we don’t get exposure to other fish species often,
Most aquariums and zoos are mainly “Australian species only”. Here in Australia land based fishing is much tougher, to catch fish going on the right tides, location and feeding times is a much. However we have some of the best land based fighting fish in the world as well as some odd species which you might catch. (I’m talking about my state of Victoria and saltwater). For example the Australian salmon (it’s not a real salmon) is an absolute monster especially on light gear, even some of our fish that are commonly used as cut bait. Horse mackerel, slimy mackerel, yellowtail scad. Fight insanely hard and school in numbers. Then we have the pink snapper which isn’t like the snappers in Florida. The snapper is a massive temperate fish and fights hard and is tasty, only problem is big ones are rare and little ones are pesky. Flathead don’t fight well but there are multiple species and taste good. There are many other species of fish down here too some endemic to this area. Moonlighters, old wife, sea sweep, banded sweep, magpie perch, blue throaght wrasse, southern Maori wrasse, senator wrasse, tommy rough, southern rock cod, velvet leatherjackets (leatherjackets are filefish not those venemous ones), rough leatherjacket, six spined leather jacket, globefish, gummy shark, stingarees, melbourne skate, black bream, yellowfin bream, tailor (bluefish), silver trevally (like a jack), king George whiting, school whiting, sand whiting, banjo shark (fiddler ray), Australian snook (like a barracuda), barracouta, Longfin sea pike, red gurnard, port Jackson shark, elephant fish (chimera), yellowtail kingfish (very rare landbased) sand, tiger, bluespot and dusky flatheads. Those mackerel like fish I mentioned earlier and more.
Oh yeah and the occasional sea snake catch and the pesky and annoying smooth toadfish and I also forgot grass whiting.
Sorry for the long comment just wanted to give a you a list if you ever come down to Victoria, Australia.
Tight lines.
I’m sold!!! When can I fly out? Lol!!! Australia is a dream trip of mine!!! Here in New Jersey the cool weather is still hanging on, but the water is slowly warming up and the fishing should get really good over the next few weeks.
Justin Platt depends where in Australia you want to go and the type of species you want to catch. Just don’t go to the west coast there aren’t as many species there and there arent many towns. Also again it depends where you want to go up in Queensland you get more tropical fish but those fish are also found in NT as well as New Guinea and some of them Indonesia as well as other islands. Whereas on the southern coast (particular eastern) and lower east coast you’ll get more species that can be caught in New Zealand however there are more endemics.
I’ve been to America but I never got a line in because it was a family holiday.
Tight lines
No problem. I am glad that you have been positively influenced by the Channel. And thanks for all the information!
The coolest Asian dude I know !!! Plus he knows his shit !!! Dig it !!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Love stripper fishing! We used to use anchovies but heard lots of good things about the blood worms. Anchovies did the job for use tho even kastmasters!
That was the biggest yellow Perch I've ever seen. I'm sure there's bigger. I haven't seen many. Cool to see you getting the stripers again. Spring is back.
Not yet Robert....not yet
Leo great job on the multi-species episode. Stripers are some great fighting fish!!!!
I chunked with a stella a few nights on the boat lol... We buy our equipment to use it not look at it lol i never understood why people would spend that type of money an then constantly worry bout something happening to it or it gettin scratched an stuff... Fish hard and enjoy yourselves
Joey Shoez i like this man
Leo heart this to give me the big happiness
Great Fishing technique Congratulations!
Stay with God always and good Fishing!
Hug!👍🎣🐟😊
Wow 😮 I didn’t see that yellow perch coming! Awesome 👏🏻 👌 Big one too!
In Georgia we have this big lake called lake Lanier. We have so many fresh water striped bass in there!
Thanks for sharing!
Hey Leo. Great content my dude. Been subbed for quite a while now. Love your channel.
Thank you for all the love and support!
That was one big yellow perch!
Oh helll yeahhhhhh!!!!! Got some of these vids on standby
Leo as always killing it out there. Way to go
Bloodworm harvester here, props for using bloods.
You should try a herring vs. Bunker vs. Bloodworm and see what works better
There is a big controversy in using Herring for Striped Bass nowadays, since the species around here are endangered. But i will be using Bunker soon enough.
Oh, I thought it was just live herring, I get it at the bait shop and never heard anything, I'll ask them next time im there thanks
The schoolie dinks have been out in force in Jersey too....
Leo, ur intro is priceless.
"WHAASSSSSSSUUUUUPPP YOOUUUUTUUBBBBBEEEE"
They have been catching them on Little Egg Harbor River
Did you go to Brinkmans bait and tackle?
Yes, I did.
Dan Frick yep!
So I've seen this happen before. You have to check the salinity of the water. The small ones will move in regardless but the big ones will follow the salt line in.
That doesn't apply to the Striped Bass migration. As mentioned in the intro, they are anadromous. The saltline for the Delaware River for Spring only goes as far as the Commodore Bridge.
Nice one epf keep it up
Thank you! Glad that you enjoyed it!
Hey buddy, I finally did a checkered puffer catch and cook and I still havent send you the lures yet due to so broke now but just found a job hope will be a good one then I can send you the stuff and it will be your new challenge to catch a fish on every single one of them lol hope you can do it , keep lines tight and broken lol
Take your time!
Wonder the address to this fishing spot? with a parking lot! Looks like the river side across the airport.?
Further south, NJ side, below Delaware Memorial Bridge.
Use bluegills as bait, guaranteed JAWS!!!!!!!!! 🤙🏽
Nice Yellow Perch! Monster size!
Make sure if you are between comm Barry and Trenton you use circle hooks
Other than the Perch caught in the video, everything else came up on circle hooks. Gear is listed in the description of the video as well.
Good stuff. Im hitting it tomorrow
Hey man, I just discovered your channel. I'm from Delco. I'd love to check this spot out. Where is this?
Hey what size hooks and rig did you use in this video, I’m very new to saltwater fishing
Those things are crazy I remember my dad getting bit by one on the finger left four bite marks on his finger
The feisty and jumbo ones can definitely bite hard! Be careful when handling them.
Hi buddy, another great video, always great to watch you guys catching a few, never gets boring and always informative and friendly. Just wondered, what is that rod rest your using in this video??, I'm from England and never seen that type before, looks awesome! Keep up the great work buddy, looking forward to the next video .
Heading out in the AM for some striper myself. Chesapeake Bay
Good luck!
Best introduction..heyyyyy wassss uppppp youtubeeeee
Thats some nice bloodworms for $13 a dozen, the ones here in MD are usually small, unless you buy the jumbos for $25 a dozen, they are like 18 inches long tho
Where’s this location at bro I’m from Philadelphia plz let me know thanks love your channel
Every time you picked up the rod did you have the drag loose then just started reeling ?
AWESOME!!!
Wow. Your about a mile in a half from my house. Ive been living here for about 2 years now and just started fishing there this year. I do most of my striper fishing in Fortescue but I'm going to try for some stripers here this fall.
Where’s this spot at on the Delaware
We have alot of tiny stripers here in the California delta. That's all i catch lol
jay cutty sturgeon are going crazy right now in the Pittsburg area. Went out the other day and got a limit of stripers and a keeper sturgeon
@@michaelbrajkovich1999 that's good
Are you using the entire worm?
We usually cut it into pieces, just enough to cover the entire hook.
Bloodworms are ridiculously expensive. At least the ones you got are big and healthy! Can’t believe you’re using a full worm on each. Seems like a waste soaking them on the bottom where catfish are gonna rob you.
I use a completely different technique for stripers. I never soak bait, I’m casting out actively with a long rod. I’ll use frozen cut bait, fresh caught mackerel, mullet or bunker, or most often: big pencil poppers.
Looking forward to catching a bunch of them once they make it further north! We’ll be fishing the Hudson River starting later this month and then taking a trip to the famous Cape Cod Canal this summer.
I was using half a worm per hook. Thus, one worm per rod. And since I am a Multi-Species angler, I don't feel bad catching anything on them. Hah. If I felt bad about catching miscellaneous species on them, I would have gotten Bunker.
Extreme Philly Fishing good points! 😀😀
Have a good spot for some big catfish out here in Texas
Hey Leo! Are there any differences in these Strippers and ones that come from a lake?
Same species, different behavior.
Why do you put the worm on like that opposed to hooking the worm multiple times?
It is just a matter of personal preference.
You bought 3 containers of bloodworms? You don't need anyone to contribute on patreon, you're loaded!
That's Awesome!!
Where at on the del river do you fish for striped bass? I got a 8 incher today but that’s the first time ever
Hi Leo, can you tell me the exact location you were fishing. Big Thks.
You should come to corpus some big gar, catfish and you can saltwater fish as well
“This feels like a catfish” lol
Small Striped Bass sometimes really feel like bigger Catfish. The way they pull is almost identical, since they are not able to pull drag.
I'mma tell Mac you're stealing his outtro hahaha
Mav*
Keep up the good work dude
Will do! Thank you!
Yellow perch probably got washed out of a creek. Ive heard people catching rainbows in tidal creeks
Hey Leo love your channel what part of the Delaware is that
Great vid!👊
You can't live bait or cut bait white perch for strippers?
You can. We just chose not to.
I just moved to Chester county PA and I’m struggling to find food ponds/smaller bodies of water to bass fish. Any solid spots you know of in the area??
Small ponds*** not food ponds lol
We used blood worms here in California for striper... We call blood worms striper candy... Striper hit hard and they can grow up to be very big..
How come you don’t have white perch stealing your bait every cast?
Where and how do you get to this fishing hole?
That striper is way bigger than the ones we get in Alabama
Hey , where did you fish in around the Delaware river ?
South of the Commodore Bridge.
Looks like ur on the jersey side?
On the Delaware River, yes.
They do alil better further up the road 2wards the bend! Its called the DUMP (if ur at where i think) or further down the river at ;()$(; point! I live in that area
What is this address I have been trying to fish in the Delaware River
It’s so weird seeing someone fish on UA-cam right in front of your house
anyone know where this is
Where are you on the river?
Leo it's time for you to do battle with some big fish
Leo using non kastking reel? 🙀 i been asleep too long 😂
dude how long have you been sleeping lol...
For sure! I dropped all my sponsorships back in November of last year!
I harvest bloodworms here in Maine.
Its called "cacing nipah" in my County
Where is the spot? 😁
I want to fish here! Thanks! I’m in Philadelphia too!
Pjay Gutierrez 🤫
I wood like to see you try to catch some freshwater roach shad plz and all so I wood like to say that I love your content
I'd love to go on a trip with you. I have so much to learn lol
North or south texas?
Yo he said soaking bait w a gan Staal sonnnn hahah w the accent
Where i live bloodworms are 7 bucks for 50 worms not sure if they are exactly the same tho im from europe
Those are not Bloodworms. Or at least not the same species.
Where is that parking lot
If I spent that much on bait and little perch we’re taking it I would be livid lmao
You should use the white perch as bait
Can you please tell me where is that location I would love to go fishing in the area please leo👍
Delaware River.
Extreme Philly Fishing thanks u so much Leo for not burning the spot
Get em'!
nice video👍
Thank you!
My dumbass has been using bloodworms for the last 2 weeks and had no idea they bite lmao
Leo why in the name of all that is fishing do you not use a net? What gives Leo? Nets are your friend! No flip just easy landing homie! GET AND USE A LANDING NET MAN! Lol great videos by the way!
I had one with me. Didn't need it for this fishing session.
I’m sad I haven’t gone fishing yet this year
Where in Delaware is that located? I can’t seem to catch nothing big fan of yours !!
Fishing Pennsville I see lol. Fishing there right now
Catch little stripers all year round in Delaware river
My man, plz do more Videos catching stripers, me and my friends been talking going out there to catch some. Coming from the West Doesn’t compare to y’all east cost stripers, so sad
I appreciate the feedback.
Nice Video
Bloodworms here are $18.99/dz & they’re not very big. Supply & demand.
Yeah! That's pretty intense!
Alittle schoolie? Lol that's an automatic good keeper size here in cali .. lol
@Dan Frick yea i fished there before.. strippers everywhere.. limited to 2 per person
Blood worms are so expensive. They cost 15.00 here
Yes, they are! Their numbers have been in decline for the past few years, so it is all about that supply and demand.
Get a pitchfork and dig man
I have never used bloodworms for strippers.. will definetaly give it a. Try
Venemous? Lol
