I've put 8 hour interstate ride days on my 2018 C14, at around the 6 hour point I'm looking to be done, but i can keep going. I do have a Sargeant seat, 2" bar risers with set back 1", tail trunk and Roadsmart 3 rubber under it. I'm tuned with the Mountain Runner tune from Shoodaben Engineering, and it runs extremely strong. It pulls the front tire between the first 3 gears of your letting her eat. It's an amazingly fast yet comfortably rideable bike.
My 2011 C-14 is fantastic. Quick, powerful and just eats the miles. Loads of gear in the three hard cases. Can run with just about any bike out there. It's a shame it was not updated, instead of dropped.
That Kawasaki should be a brilliant touring bike, my 1500 Suzuki suffers from small tank as well. Exhaust, K&N air filter with a tuner helped with little better fuel mileage. Great video.
Hello RevZolution i own a 2002 Vstrom 1000 since 2016 with a 22l fuel tank and have the same milage as yours, @200 miles but usually a bit under with only 60% of your power(@100hp) and 60kg lighter bike (240kg). For daily city riding, just home-work-home (25km*5days=125km) and i fill up every 5th day. That being said for 1352 cc wih 155 hp (if not re-tuned) with a 310kg weight, i think thats pretty good. Im wondering if you could do a comparison with a Honda VFR1200X Crosstourer since both, the VFR1200X and GTR1400 are on my radar for about 1 year as the next upgrade. The weight doesnt bother me that much since im 1.90m tall and 130kg. I apreciate you GTR viedeos and keep and coming. Ride safe!
Thanks for the comment. If I can get hold of a crosstourer I'll definitely do that review. I came very close to buying one a few years ago. I've heard good things about that bike. Thanks for watching. There's going to be plenty more GTR content soon
my Concours 14 the best bike ever owned does everything compfy and quick fast agile long legs 500 miles one day easy live at tail of dragon in NC twisties look it up it keep up with sport bikes while they try to leave me in dust NO NO - they say damn your fast.
I go through tanks of fuel like its going out of fashion. It never lasts longer than 4 days in the bike. Every few tanks I'll throw in a good old E5 and a injector cleaner to keep her good

If it was updated it would have made for an absolute beast of a bike. I absolutely love it

I completely agree. I'd love to ride the tail of the dragon.
