Watching these is like reading an old western...adventure and drama all in one. Lol...
tony bergosh and the fact he trouble shot and repaired an injector during the night.
I know it is pretty off topic but does anyone know a good site to watch newly released movies online ?
@Tripp Justice try flixzone. You can find it on google :)
@Immanuel Wallace Definitely, have been watching on FlixZone for since march myself :)
@Immanuel Wallace thank you, I signed up and it seems like a nice service :D I really appreciate it!!
roadside injector-ectomy...outstanding! Great attitude!
Way to think under pressure!
I hate to laugh at someone else’s misfortune... but gahh damn, the way you stayed so calmly spoken while dealing with your busted injector, and the lack of fuel was pretty funny.
This guy is a complete diesel wizard
So I hear the largest Hadron Collider is experiencing problems.
Give them a call.
Absolutely amazing skillset. I've never seen anyone say things like
"I'll worry about that later" and then just do it (was in another video).
I sit and think about it like it's a chess game but you just "ho-hum... what's next?"
You did inspire me to build my own front winch bumper for my '06 Cummins. Came out very good IMO given it was my first try.
Got many nice comments on it but man you make everything look so easy.
Could do a video series of long boxing the mega cab, or a manual transmission swap would make a cool one too.
Long bed single rear wheel no dually on the Mega
TrollMaster300 why mega cabs look better dually
As a 1st gen cummins owner for many years, I've enjoyed the simplicity of that generation. Very rarely does something go wrong but when it does, it's usually something I can fix on the road. after watching your video and seeing how you were able to get your rig running, I'm not as scared of adding a later gen cummins to my collection one day. Great video!
Can't believe you hauled that truck on your trailer! I have the same one, and it was riding on the stops with an SBC-powered Suburban on it. Suspension? We don't need no steenking suspension! If your truck was a 12 valve, you probably could have poured the Rubbermaid tote full of crankcase oil/fuel right into your gas tank and made it home without a fill up. Props for figuring it out and making it back home.
Common rail would run great on that diesel oil too, If I had better filtration id have no problem running that.
Not letting anything slow you down.... Bad injector in the middle of no where... No problem, got a spare in my pocket.. True mechanic that knows his truck well...
Your luck is almost as bad as mine. Good on you for being able to do an epic roadside repair.
Cool vid. The makers of that trailer probably didn't foresee anyone hauling a one ton diesel truck on it haha.
one ton?
@@29031994290 3500 = one ton weight rating. Obviously the truck weighs more than one ton.
@@TheGeekwad i dont know what is this rating. is it for the bed?
@@29031994290 1500 = 1/2 ton, 2500 = 3/4 ton and 3500 = 1 ton. Sorry you didn’t have a father figure to teach you that.
@@exhilaratingbass my father taught me to be curious and learn everyday, thats why I asked a question. he also taught me how to beat up bullies
One of the best videos I have seen on your channel. Been here for a good while. And watch them all. I have learned alot also. Love your attitude and wish I was mechanically inclined as you. Not too many young people such as you are able to do things like you do. Take care bud.
Wow! Well, at least it wasn't in the middle of winter!
It's a good thing Cummins are easy to work on or you would've been screwed
I would do a deck for the mega cab make a new number and exhuasg and tune it that's just what I would do
Thanks for taking the time to share
no big deal. just doin a quick injector job on the side of the highway! lol. gotta love the cummins though. wouldn't have been the same video if it were a powerstroke
Or a Duramax...
Or a duramax. Lol that's why I'm cummins
powerstroke wouldn't have left you on the side of the road
@@xtune5731 wouldn't have made it out of the driveway.
@@bucaru1 lmao
Man what a adventure road trip ! But you made it well 😅👍🏻 cool that you have a 4th gen now !
Can't beat a cummins
Cummins Chevy hell yeah Chevy 😬💪🏻
Kudos to you that's a real technician adapt and overcome. Most don't know which end is up.
I love the level of diy you go to. Always gives me inspiration to tear apart my 5.9
Heck of a trip glad you made it back just goes to show what know how will do and I love the mega cabs with the short box nice find
i carry block off plugs for the common rail engines after being stranded along side the highway when an injector went bad. i would have done the same thing with the oil...drain out that diesel diluted oil and use the oil from the new truck. i know it sucked doing that along side the road but looks like the good old cummins wasnt hurt at all!
Yah your friggen awesome. You are very mechanical inclined and motivated to get shit done. #goodO’Lcanadianboys. LMAO crazy but good idea/no other way. Taking the oil out of the 4th gen. EPIC
Good job buddy! Excited to see the 68rfe rebuild. I run an 08'
Helluva a trip. Awesome you fixed it and drove it home with oil from the other truck.
Cummins are reliable can't believe you made it to the fuel station
In the 2nd gens, you still have like 1/8 of a tank when the light comes on. Not sure about 3rd gen
So resourceful and levelheaded. Awesome dude. Very inspiring.
By far your best video sir! You will go far with your calm demeanor and get it done attitude. Thanks very much. Keep up the good work.
amazing roadside troubleshooting and resolution. keep posting!
Man....super impressive...your skill set....love the videos...thanks
thats ingenuity for ya ,nice work
Great field fix and use of roadside resources!!
Sounds like a trip I would have!! I haven’t had a injector do that but had the number 3 injector line go bad more then once. After the second one going bad a spare was placed under the seat. Cause even in the states you can be left stranded miles from Cummins parts!! Great video glad to hear you were able to make it home with out hurting the old truck!
Sounds like a trip that would happen to myself 😂😂😂 creates memories though👌🏻👌🏻
Nicely done sir. Sure lucky you had the spare sitting in the glove box.
Oddly enough, I have built the big block cummins over the years and the last one was in a little dozer with the twelve valve and so to convert a automotive to a equipment type ( i can't get my head to call out stuff right) I swapped heads and built injectors out of the two to make one, then swapping the pump is pretty straight forward but you have to use the timing case as well so the pump fits and then they time totally different as you know, all in all, it took me eight hours to swap all the stuff around and roll new bearings plus rings making one engine out of two. It hit after a few rolls to get the prim all around.... Oh, I was 68 at the time and working with a broken back. I'm 72 now but for me the big block is so much easier to do the work on. I like them and the 466 international engines for all around easy to work on.
Good job on the injector diagnosis, but thats why I like my 2nd Gen Dodge and my P Pumped cummins powered Super Duty !! All Mechanical !
Cool video keep em coming!
Good job man.👍
You got skills for sure.
At least you had your tools and computer with you. Great video as usual!
Keep up the great work! Love the videos
If you ever decide to make some more content i know im interested for sure, I grew up in a family of welders and I still somehow love fabrication and just learning constantly, I've learned ( in my 30s) it's that you can never learn to much haha❤😊
I have a 2004 5.9 common rail, bought it with 27k on it; now has 60k. Your videos always reassure me I made the right choice when I bought my truck
That cant be just a reg cookie sitting there, or you eat like a chipmunk. I'd bet it's one of those good cookies lol
Atleast your able to do the job on the side of the road nice work love both trucks looking for new one to bad your so far away lol keep the vids comming
Well done / enjoyed watching :)
Like the video? Dude, I loved it! Cool adventure and good job diagnosing the situation. Unfortunately the wind picked up but at least the rain went away. I thought it was funny how you borrowed the oil from the mega cab to get home. I was waiting for you to borrow fuel. Nice job man🙃
Almost had to borrow fuel! So surprised i made it.
You are hard core 😳 the truck sounded like it had a knock after you fixed 5. I have a 06 5.9 in the original owner. It went 220,000 stock. Now it has my retirement into it. Honestly cool stuff makes trucks suck!!! Are race shop is next door to fleece performance they are great dudes and always bail me out when I fuck my own shit up trying to do everything my self. It’s crazy how easy it is to mess up a great truck now days
Your awesome at what you do
Glad you’re all good .. I’d have no idea what to do without a computer lol
Your a legend!
Dude you're a heck of a mechanic man... that was epic
Here I was being proud of myself for having swapped a lift pump out on the side of the road on my '03 Cummins (filter mounted, not in tank, obviously). Just goes to show it pays to have skills, tools, and spares with you. Nicely done.
Your a beast.
Keep up the good work.
Outstanding great job 👍👍
Man your videos are so entertaining.
Like the half eaten cookie on the bench with the injector. 👌
Good job on side of the road repair
You gotta be tough when you venture over here into Alberta! LOL That was a nightmarish ordeal holy cow!
Awesome bud
One thing that Ive learned from this guy is when shit hits the fan to remain calm i def need to apply dat more into my life
Crazy ass road trips are a great learning experience. Been there done that. If I was running out of diesel and still had all that “oil”, that would be in the tank.
Woulda stole fuel from the megacab if i didn't make it. Stock filter not good enough to run that old diesel oil.
You literally got’r done there buds lol that’s a crazy night you had for sure... some used old oil is better then diesel oil for sure
On the up side of your adventure the innards are really clean! lol
If that was a Ford you would've had to take the front of the truck and cab off just to change the air filter, and still lost a finger because of the air filter housing being such a piece, anyhow great video!
It's a wonderful thing when you can fix your own stuff. I sucks you had to do it at the side of the highway.
Been using my connector tubes on my 99 for 466,000 miles I just sand paper groves away and keep on rocking, or whatever that music is
well done
This is cummins life right here, we live an oddly similar life haha
Truly renaissance man
nice video man!! i have the cummins 2d gen, and my VP44 pump is been failing, im starting to mentally prepared for it to leave me stranded..
Ever since I watched this, I cant get that Flexgang tune outa my head that starts at the 1:06 mark haha
Love the cookie 🍪 on the work bench my garage for sure
lol
I carry a injector block off tool/cap in both my trucks for this very reason haha a buddy had this happen and lucky for him i was close so I could run to him and test which one went bad and swap it haha thankfully he got off an exit and into a parkinglot haha but glad you ended up getting home but a block off tool is only a couple bucks so its worth keeping on you in the glove box or center console or etc❤
Bad ass fix on the road bud
Damn dude hell of a trip, been there done that - not an injector though lmao.
And, you coulda sent a feeler out on your channel or something for a little help if you needed it. I'm just north of edmonton if you're ever this way and crap hits the fan.
Boss shit there my friend!!
Awesome video that was a close call, always love the videos. I hate that damn wind though outside on the camera but I'm not complaining, keep up the good work!! 👍👍💯
Did anyone even stop to see if you needed help? People these days...smh
Nope not one person stopped lol
Of course, I'm not suprised.. I would have stopped for you brother. #dodgelife
Badass !
Bro just watched your vid. You deserve a sub and i aint talkin about a sandwich! Subscibed!
Dude you rock I have an 09 I’m interested in seeing what you come up with
Only a guy with ur knowlege and know how coulda pulled that off! Awesome job bud. Really thought u was fixin to rob tha fuel from tha megacab too lmao
Man you are a badass!!!!👍👍👍
I wish I was this calm with my problems
awesome content
You are the 6.7 master tech .i would have been dead in the water .lucky you had tools and spare nozzle .
Love the vids keep it up wish I knew you broke down I'm from red deer would have given a guy a hand
I did the dash lights on my 03 too. Ended up being the board, it's too loose to hold the bulbs correctly. They rattle just out of the contacts. Ended up having to solder them in.
Ah hell yeah I wanna see more shit like that.
Fricken crazy night
You da man!)
Great Video !Could you please give me detailed info on the engine?I know it is a Cummins but I also know that there are different versions of the 5.9 ..I am looking at doing a fummins ..Thanks for your time and glad to see ya made it home...
I felt the pain when you were low on diesel lol
Hell yeah buddy
Well u got a clean crank case plol
Awesome Tow Rig i have a 16ft Flat Bed similar to your trailer Good Trailer Hauls Anything i need and Makes Money
my 6.0 did this in florida when i was 1200 miles away
Hey excellent trip and on the road repair video. The injector is one of the original. You can probably change out injectors with your eyes closed.
#5 was done with my eyes closed lol was too dark to see anything at that point.
Great job getting that figured out! Hell yeah, also, do you do tuning for 98.5 24v??
i like how you have a cookie sitting on your tool box
