I used to work for a company that had several 6.0L Ford's, one 2008 6.4L and a couple 6.7L trucks. The 6.0's broke down on a regular basis and the 6.7's had issues also. The F250 with the 6.4 was the most reliable truck in the fleet. It had almost 300k miles on it when I left the company and still running strong. It also had an engine mounted generator and would run for several hours at a time. Sometimes it would stay at a high idle for 24 hours while using it for the testing we did. It had way more hours than a truck that would 300k miles. It must have been a unicorn.

Yeah a little trick for the forklift, at the end of the forks drill two big holes (One hole in each prong) and get a bolt with two nuts and tighten the two nuts together to make the bolt protrude about 3 inch on the top side it stops it from slipping off and causing injuries to others and gives you more pulling force since you don't have to worry about it slipping off and you can use it as regular forklift afterwards with the bolts removed

I wanted to keep my 92 F350 simple and rebuild the 5.8 thats in it. A cummins swap always sounded fantastic but i didnt want to do all of that, until i started watching your videos.
I remember my 96 Dodge had a Cummins in it. On the injector pump, I took the cover off & adjusted [advanced] the pump & could get another 100 miles out of a tank of fuel, which put it up to 700 miles per tank. I went to a 2000 F-250 with a stroker & wish I would have just bought new doors, fenders & lower rear cab corners & kept my Dodge. Try getting 23 mpg with a PowerStroke, You can't... Cool video....
If you put a hole in the end of the forks.. you can stick a small tow hitch ball or a hook or whatever you have laying around to prevent the chain from sliding off the end of the forks like that..
I’m excited for you to start this project. I can’t wait to see how it turns out. I’m putting the final touches on my truck. I have a 2008 f550 With a 99 24 valve Cummins and a manual transmission. In hindsight I wish I would’ve found a 12 valve p pump like you have
Do yourself a favor and reseal that engine while it’s out. Tapper cover gasket, rear main, front main, crank case gasket and killer dowel pin. You’ll thank yourself in the long run.
Fords have the nicest interiors. That P pump Cummins will make a very good power plant for the Ford. Cummins have such a great torque curve they are fun to drive. I put a VE 12 valve Cummins in an 85 F250 and used a ZF 5 spd tranny. I did this conversion back in 1999 back before conversions became popular. The F250 had a 460 but after the conversion I doubled the fuel mileage. I can now drive 600 miles without stopping for fuel. At that time the only part I could purchase was the transmission adapter. Every thing else was fabricated. I did use a radiator and air charge cooler out of a 93 Dodge. I am still using that old Ford. But I am looking for a Ford Superduty to re transplant that engine.
@@cryinglaughter6792 Why upgrade? Any Cummins upgrade from what he already has would mean a computer controlled engine, and would get worse fuel mileage than the 12 valve! Sure, a 24 valve has more power...but it's not worth the fuel mileage. My dad had a 12 valve that was getting 28MPG on the interstate unloaded, and his 2005 24 valve gets 18.5 MPG... I'd prefer the fuel mileage, since the 12 valve has enough torque to grenade any Chrysler/Dodge/Ford Automatic hooked to it under full torque conditions pulling a gooseneck with a bulldozer on it's back
If you drill a hole at the end of your fork on the bobcat you can bolt on a truck ball hitch to pull trailers and it will hold the chain on when you use it pick stuff up
